Welcome to firehouse! This you will hear at entry to this firehouse themed sandwich shop! I love the food always tastes fresh and prepared pretty quick. This is important to the lunch crowd that has to get back to work.

Delicious subs with fresh wheat bread and tons of meat. I couldn’t finish the medium sub so I suggest the lighter fare if you don’t have a big appetite.

I was really hoping for something unique to a sub sandwich chain, a good, authentic deli sub. I can’t conceive of a good reason why Firehouse received such high praise, especially relative to Subway and Quiznos. I’ll guess most of the reviewers haven’t experienced an authentic deli sub sandwich. I ordered the regular(medium) corn beef brisket and what I got looked more like a burrito supreme from Taco Bell than a sub sandwich. Bluntly, Firehouse is overpriced, small and the flavor is fine, not particularly better than the other chains. I believe Chubby’s Bronx Deli near UTEP is actually better than this«me too» sub shop. If you find yourself in Santa Monica try Bay Cities Italian Deli or in Berkeley try Saul’s Restaurant & Delicatessen or in Oakland try Genova Delicatessen or if in NYC try Alidoro.

moved here from west texas years ago, never had firehouse subs before, I really like the sandwiches, been a fan since. There have been times when the crew is a little slow, takes longer than usual to get my order but for the most part is good. Much better than Subway and Jason’s Deli, can’t compare to Jersey Mike’s because it’s a different type of sandwich. They give you a survey on your receipt and if completed you get a free drink which is a good deal when you buy a sandwich you don’t pay for the drink. I love that they have different sauces at every store, I’ve tried several ones and already have my favorites. Kids also eat free on Tuesday night.

Pretty… damn…amazing. I ordered the Smokehouse Brisket and cheese. The meat was super tender, the bbq sauce was the perfect sweetness and the flavors and blended together perfectly.

This sub shop is on point! I can only speak for the Italian sub, because that’s my favorite and the only sub I’ll get! It’s delicious… perfectly toasted and just the right amount of meat, veggies and seasonings. Definitely beats Subway and Quiznos! Hands down!

We have taken our girls to Subaway and a few other sandwich shops. But i have to say HANDSDOWN one of the best. For my 7 year old to say dad I killed the sandwich and see an empty plate. That is great.

Quiznos toasts everything; Subway offers 20 different vegetables and sauces to choose from; and Firehouse steams their meat before plopping it on the bread so that it is nice and hot and juicy. Does it really add anything to the experience though? I’m going to have to say yes. On this particular day, I ordered the Italian. This sandwich looked beautiful. It was stacked high with Genoa salami, pepperoni, and ham, lettuce, tomato, high quality provolone cheese, Italian dressing, and a sprinkling of dried herbs, all sandwiched between a beautiful hoagie roll. So there you have it, Firehouse Subs offers significantly better quality sandwiches than Subway, Quiznos, and just about any other sandwich place around.

OMG so good! Bread, meat, cheese and mustard were all so good! Definitely will return to this place. I also love that two firemen started the business, so that’s super cool! The website also gives you an interactive menu to calculate calories. Very cool. They ask when ordering if you want double meat or cheese and let me tell you, no double meat needed! It’s stacked! So good! Customer service is also on point. Friendly and fast. Everyone smiles the whole time. I had forgotten what it was like to have good customer service. Lastly, the cola machine is fun! I first saw one of these in universal studios hollywood, the fruit water is so good! Love this place for sure.

I was impressed with the quality of food and customer service at Firehouse Subs. I have tried the meatball and the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. Both were very tasty. I liked that they have a variety of sauces to add to your sandwich. They have one of the new Coke soda machines with a bunch of options. I also recommend the cookies, the lemon cookie was delicious. BTW they also sell the buckets that their pickles come in which are great to store items for an emergency or disaster kit. Only $ 2 and the money goes to support firemen! Oh and don’t forget to get your free fireman hat. :)

I’m a HUGE fan of sandwiches & it’s nice to see anything other than subway. I have to say that their subs are delicious! They specialize in mostly hot sandwiches but they do carry the typical tuna and chicken salad sandwiches. Although I absolutely love the fire department theme I’m not a fan of the restaurant layout. The line to order becomes very narrow when there is a crown and customers start standing right next to other people who are eating. I don’t know about you but I hate being disturbed when I’m eating especially by someone I don’t know. Also, firehouse subs is a little more upscale than subway so the lighting shouldn’t be so darn bright. It should be more like chipotles or potbellys. That is just my opinion though. Overall, it’s a good place to get a delicious sub NOT as good as potbellys though.

In the midst of all of the subways and quiznos in the area, Firehouse Subs is a breath of fresh air. They have a wide variety of subs that are tasty and chock full of awesome ingredients. This place is very family friendly but(like most new places in El Paso) can get annoyingly packed during peak lunch hours(11:30−1pm). The smoke house beef & cheddar brisket sandwich is ammmmaaaazing. The difference between the regular and large sandwich is about 4 inches. The regular size sandwich is about 8 inches whereas the large is around 12 inches. You can get a combo or just the sandwich in which just like subway, you can either get a cookie or bag of chips. They have a large array of condiments that goes beyond the normal hot sauce, mustard, mayo, and bbq sauce standard that most sub shops carry. I’ve tried about 4 subs on the main menu and I have yet to be disappointed. They have a pretty awesome italian sub that is an actual italian sub — which is actually harder to find than one might think, especially with the large amount of sub shops that are in El Paso. Having lived in New York for 4 and a half years as a cadet at West Point, I’ve learned to appreciate a good sub shop and this place brings me back to my college years. Its no Boar’s Head, but it’s quite delicious. But I will say that Firehouse Subs tends to focus on hot sandwiches although they do have a couple of cold cuts(Tuna and Momma’s Chicken Salad). All in all, I like the subs here. It isssss a bit pricey, but it’s worth it!

I’m not very familiar with Firehouse, having been to one only once prior to the El Paso opening, so I didn’t really have expectations or favorites going into this one. Generally, I’m always in favor of new sandwich chains moving here, which hopefully will eventually lead to EP finally getting a Jimmy John’s. The hot subs taste very good, and are pretty big & satisfying, which is awesome! I particularly enjoy that the subs are hot but not toasted, which I prefer. I’m still working my way through the menu, but the Italian and Meatball are early favorites. The New York Steamer is okay, but its not quite a Reuben, and when I was eating it, all I could think of was eating a Reuben. I’m a big fan of the freestyle coke machine, and they have one, but if you’re like me, you will be immediately drawn to the Cherry Limeade, and it is a BIG letdown. It just plain tastes bad, maybe the machine was acting up that day or something, I don’t know. I’d normally not hold that against them, but it is the one drink that is actually made by them. There are a couple of other things you should be aware of, the first is that even though a lot of reviews have decided to compare it to Subway, which I think it’s unfair because it is more expensive than Subway, the prices are closer to Potbelly’s(about $ 10-$ 12/person), so I do believe Potbelly(which is also great) to be the more accurate comparison. The second thing you should know, is that the location is HORRIBLYINCONVENIENT, since getting to the upper-middle of The Fountains and out is a total pain in the a$$, and given the lunch crowd, you’ll be hard pressed for time if you only have a 1 hour lunch; consider ordering online. Bottom line is, the subs are pretty damn tasty, and that’s what matters.

I have NEVER in my life, loved a sub sandwich as much as I loved my very first sub from Firehouse Subs. Before my delicious encounter with FS, I always thought my best options for a quick sub was Subway. I was such a silly lass back then. Subway has nothing on Firehouse Subs, NOTHING I TELLYA! I devoured a NY Sweeper sub on wheat in all it’s cheesy, mustardy goodness. This sub was better than anything I’ve concocted at home on my own. I think I was so used to eating subs with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and all those other veggies that I had actually tricked myself into believing anything I had before FS was actually good. Such a fool! FS doesn’t add unnecessary toppings and loads up the delicious meats and melted cheeses. So damn good! I also love the whole flow of FS. As soon as you walk in they yell out«Welcome to Firehouse Subs» in unison. After you order you can just take a seat and they’ll bring your food over to you. And if you’re the kind of person that loves to load up your sandwich with sauces and whatnot, FS has a huge selection of sauces right at the counter. The house sauces are on point and you can buy them as well. And one thing that I’ve only seen at an El Taco Tote that FS also has is the amazing Coca Cola drink station. It has an assortment of different sodas and waters available that you can also get with additional flavors like vanilla Coke, cherry water, peach Fanta and so many more. And the thing is touch screen… it makes you feel like you’re inside a restaurant from the future.
