One of the best steaks I have ever had. The Arrachera house specialty is a remarkable skirt steak cut, marinade and grilled to perfection. Very hard to get a half inch steak medium rare but the chef did it here. Service was top notch, wine selection was extensive and all good. Only reason for 4 stars is that 2 of our party of 6 had overdone sirloins. Must eat here when in ELP.

First time there. I’ve seen the restaurant for a number of years but finally decided to give it a go one early Saturday. Hardly anyone there at this time. The atmosphere was average. The design doesn’t know what it wants to be, a modern, hip restaurant or a hacienda style steakhouse. The booths were a tight fit, can be uncomfortable. The glassware were disgustingly unclean. I watched the server pick up the dirty glass and pour a beer in it without a flinch. The food service was slow. The actual food was fine, not great but satisfactory, nothing to wow you about.

Whenever you first read the title of this restaurant, you instantly assume that the only dish they’ll most likely be able to execute epically would be their steak entreès. However, I’m writing this review to tell you nothing could be further from the truth. I didn’t even order a steak dinner tonight, yet was immensely impressed with the overall service and cuisine this establishment had to offer. As always, I must comment on the decorum. The overall ambiance was stellar, romantic and charming in such a way that you could easily mistake it for an Italian restaurant, rather than a Mexican steakhouse. To tell you the truth, I’ve never even heard of such a thing until tonight. But it was executed nicely. Most Americans(including myself) immediately think of tacos and burritos when they hear the term«Mexican cuisine». Corralito’s goes well beyond the expectations of your average enchilada. Speaking of which. The service: wow. Just… wow! First of all, our waiter was all over it tonight. Attentive? Prompt? Compassionate? Doesn’t even begin to describe how johnny-on-the-spot this guy was. What both impressed and amused me the most was when right before my wife was about to order the chicken enchiladas, he advised against that choice and stated, «hey…I’m honest». That impressed me because it’s not something you hear very often in the food industry. Far too often you’ll hear a server blindly and dismissively recommend almost everything on the menu. Clearly, this waiter had integrity. So right away, he gets an A+ in my book. Now, since this was my first time eating at this place, I took a different approach by ordering the chicken cordon bleu. My theory was that if they could execute this dish to impressive standards, then their steak entreès were probably phenomenal, too. I was correct on both counts. Allow me to elaborate. The wife ordered the filet mignon(sans bacon) and I’ll get to that in a bit. First. the cordon bleu; this version consists of a grilled(not breaded) chicken breast, stuffed with prosciutto and cheese, smothered in a highly delectable mushroom sauce. As you can imagine, this is the first time I’ve ever come across a chicken cordon bleu assembled in such a fashion. I must admit… this is possibly the best cordon bleu I’ve had since Tripp’s in Fayetteville, NC(before they closed, reopened in another name and then bastardized their own recipe, only to shutdown again, but I digress). By the way, their mushroom sauce is a recipe worth replicating. I, for one, shall troll the four corners of YouTube just to learn how. The wife’s filet came with a side of this mushroom sauce. But let me assure you… their steak tastes exquisite with or without the sauce. They nailed the meat temperature perfectly! And the cut of steak was nice and thick as well. Generous portions all around. Ah! But let me tell you about their shrimp cocktail; quite possibly the best one I’ve ever had. In my life. So far. Now, it’s fairly obvious they make their salsa from scratch. The cocktail itself costs about $ 13, but is well worth the price! On average, a shrimp cocktail costs between $ 8 and $ 10 and you only get like, 5 big shrimp. This particular cocktail came with dozens of medium sized shrimp drenched in their delectable sauce(which packs quite the kick, btw), but isn’t SO spicy you can’t still enjoy the great taste. Again, I was impressed. The wife actually ended up taking what remained in a to-go box. That’s how much shrimp they give you! Like I said: well worth the price! When we return(and we will), I will be trying their surf n’ turf plate. I did sample the wife’s filet mignon and it, too, was nothing short of exquisite. The parking is surprisingly spacious, though… not very well lit. I was honestly shocked at how easy this place was to find upon exiting the highway. It’s relatively easy to get to for first timers. So stop by! And if you don’t try their shrimp cocktail at least once, I’m afraid you’re missing out on life.

I’m a big fan of Corralito’s. Who doesn’t love a good steak and nice ambiance? And of the two locations, this is my favorite. The service here is what really sets them apart. I still haven’t seen this Corralito’s in its entirety, it’s pretty big and there are a couple of different dining areas. My fiancé and I went on our very first date here and sat in the first dining area. That one seemed very bright, well lit. The next time we went we sat in the second dining area past the glass wine cellar and that one had a lot of darker woods, booths, and lower lighting. Depending on the mood you’re going for, you can definitely find it here. If you’ve never been here, I’d say this is a place where you want to dress a little nicer and probably leave the kids at home. You could still get away with clean blue jeans with a nice pair of shoes, but this is more of a slacks and dresses kind of place. I wish I could remember the name of our server last time we were here because he was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Regardless, both times we came here, service was impeccable. The steaks are obviously what we come here for and they are pretty good and always cooked to the temperature requested. Among all of my favorite places to get a steak in El Paso, they come in at #3. My favorite thing to get on top of their steaks though, is there garlic mushrooms. They come sliced(even if you order them as an appetizer) and are pretty tasty. I like the sides and their salads too. Their salsas are good as well, I’m a big fan of their avocado salsa. Pretty much everything is good. They get pretty packed on the weekend so a reservation might be a good thing if that’s when you’d like to eat there. But during the lunch hours it doesn’t seem to ever get as crazy. I’ll put it this way… on the weekend you’ll probably be parking in the street, any other time you can probably park in their pretty large parking lot.

Walk in and bam 1.00 xx and corona after a hot day shopping this is what I wanted or needed to see a bucket full of ice beer. We were attended to right away. 8 in our party and we had a good meal including stakes Mexicano tacos. Kids finished the fish and chips in a heart beat. Atmosphere was dim and very relaxing but still great for the kids. A small playground was nice to end a meal for the kids. Our waiter was Irvin And was very good at his job. He was one of the best waiters we have had in El Paso. I would give this place 5+ if I could. Thanks guys for making El Paso our get away place.

Just went there today, passing through to Tucson. It was recommended by a friend. Definitely a very tasty appetizer sampler with their short ribs and quesadilla. The guacamole was excellent. The chips were a little saltier than usual but the dips tasted great. The service was really good and the waiter was very attentive. I personally got the grilled bone marrow and the caprese salad and those were very delicious. The bone marrow was very tasty and caprese salad portion was very generous. My family also got various meat combinations and they said it was a bit salty but good. Additionally my vegetarian grandmother was served garlic mushrooms, asparagus, rice, beans, and fries. She loved the asparagus. Overall a very good experience.

This is my new favorite place in El Paso for lunch. I am writing this after my first visit. I ordered the Skirt steak green chile enchiladas plate. It was one of the best tasting enchiladas I could remember in a lifetime of eating enchiladas. The steak pieces throughout and on top of the enchiladas were so tender, the chile was spicy but not too spicy where you think you are part of a chile eating contest and worried you might get hurt. A colleague when he takes his wife to dinner and asks how was your dinner, she will respond simply, «It was good.» He then asks,“would you order it again?” I think about his question each time I go out to a new restaurant and again when I write a Unilocal review. Would I order it again? The next time I have lunch at Corralito Steak House, will I order the Skirt steak green chile enchiladas plate?” Yes, yes, yes, it is a tough decision as there are other very good choices on the lunch menu. I will keep on ordering the Skirt steak green chile enchiladas plate until I hear that small voice inside my head that says, «green again? shouldn’t you try the red?»

I came here on a lunch date and everything was perfect from beginning to end! I absolutely love the dark lighting it makes everything feel sophisticated. There are candles placed on the tables making the experience a little bit more intimate. HINT* HINT* perfect for dates lol, This location has plenty of parking compared to the location on Mesa. I suggest that if you have a small group of friends just head to the bar. There was not a wait and we were served immediately. I ordered steak enchiladas and it was heaven in my mouth! The steak was cooked to perfection and my enchiladas were filled completely. They were drenched in sauce but not to excessive that it made the tortilla soggy. Mexican restaurants serve rice and beans for sides but you will be surprise how many do not get it right! This place knows how to make good beans and rice! haha I highly recommend that you order a watermelon margarita on the rocks! It taste like a liquid jolly rancher it is so delicious! Not only was it delicious but I had a head change within the first couple of sips! WINNING! Lastly, our waitress was extremely attentive and made a couple recommendations that were on point! I can not wait to be back! This restaurant just may become my favorite in El Paso.

Very long wait time even when restaurant had plenty of tables. Very overpriced food that isn’t more than a 6 or maybe 7 on a good day. Plus servers don’t pay attention, had 2 servers and a manager come ask for my order and still forget things. I’ll go with 3 stars because the steak was good, don’t remember what it was called but it’s their specialty. I was told by a friend/former coworker that food is supposed to come with a complimentary side salad and I asked for it, but never got it.
