This is my 4th time eating here. And my first review, shame on me. Thus the reason for 2 stars & not 1. This review is for this visit. We were there on a Thursday evening, as we wanted to see why the parking lot is jam packed on Thursdays! We did get a table for two. Service was slow and we weren’t checked on much. I would have liked more water, and I would have liked for them to ask me how my meal was. Someone in black, not sure if he was the busboy, took my plate. The waiter never asked how my meal was. Every time I’ve eaten there, I’ve ordered the salmon, because it’s been tasty, very tasty. I’m not sure what happened this time. It was drenched in oil, and not tasty. You could taste the oil & not the pecans. It was suppose to be pecan crusted salmon. They did a terrible job on my food! Maybe because it was 7:30 pm. I won’t order the salmon again. We had the calamari for an appetizer, not many pieces there. The dipping sauces were adequate. There are too many restaurants in the area, I’ll wait a while to try them again. Let’s hope it was just an off-night.

We tried to have dinner there on New Year’s Eve. Even though we had reservations, the staff was so disorganized and rude that we ended up leaving before we got our food.

I made a reservation for two for our anniversary which also happens to be on new years eve. Making the reservation was easy and convenient(online). That’s all the good I can say about this place. Our reservation was for 5:30pm and we showed up at 5:25. Upon walking in we were ignored and had to demand they acknoledge us and seat us. They felt the need to mention that we showed up early. Like that’s an excuse to be rude and give bad service. The place was disorganized and the employees all seemed lost. 5 min after seating us(the only people there at the time) we were finally given menus and drink orders taken. Then another employee came by and tried to take our drink order. We got water. Ten minutes after that someone brings us three spreads with nothing to put them on and says nothing to us. We ask one employee what we are supposed to put the spreads on and they didn’t know and had to go ask. They never returned. A few minutes later someone who finally looked like our server came and we asked him. He also didn’t know and said he would go ask someone. Finally after all this mess and 25 minutes we told him not to bother and that we were going somewhere else. He responded like we were being offensive. We will never return to this place and will continue to tell people how terrible the service is. I understand that’s it was new years eve and a lot was going on, but everyone was SO clueless, and rude.

I was searching«steakhouses» for my birthday dinner and found Bogart’s. The hostess wasn’t very personable nor welcoming when we walked in. She sat us at a table next to the window/patio door. The patio was closed as it was 38 degrees outside, but servers kept going in and out of the door. I should have kept my jacket on all evening because of the breeze. I feel sorry for the large party that was sat directly in front of the door with the small children. Our table was so large, and it was so noisy in the restaurant that I had to literally yell across the table to my girlfriend. We asked to move tables, but were told there wasn’t anything else available. Our server totally saved the day/evening. He was friendly, welcoming, accommodating, had excellent recommendations, and was all around delightful. He repositioned the table so my girlfriend could sit beside me and we could conduct a conversation in a normal tone/volume. I was very impressed with the food. The cheese platter was so beautiful I didn’t want to eat it. Definitely the best cheese platter that I have ever had! The specialty drinks were very good. Now… the steak. It melted in my mouth! The meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned and cooked perfectly. By looking at the restaurant/bar, I thought it would be overpriced and slightly pretentious. I am happy to say I was partially wrong and will make return visits in the future. The food is incredible, the drinks are perfectly mixed, and it was worth the time and money overall.

Avoid at all cost! Poor service, steak like rubber, menu products not available! Food brought out in stages, cold and under cooked. Wait staff and kitchen out of sinc and created a very poor dining experience for me and my guest. It appears they buy the cheapest food and attempt to make it taste good. Once I complained the management responded but too little too late. Can’t buy poor service w alcohol! This place will not make it as its already showing signs of failure!!! I was there with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. A reservation was made, and they sat us in a private area in the back. It got interesting when we were told that our party had to spend a minimum of $ 800 dlls. We were a party of 15… 12 adults and three children, without counting a baby that was in her stroller the whole time. Apparently they were«considerate» enough to bring down our minimum expense amount to $ 500 dlls. We then read on the menu that parties over a certain size cannot ask for a split check. When the reservations were made, none of these«minimum requirements» were mentioned. This was brought to the waiter’s attention, who said he should be able to split the checks. Here goes my rant… I’ve been to all kinds of restaurants in many places… I’ve paid 35 dollars for a tequila shot in a local restaurant because I ordered a specific kind without asking price. and made no fuss about it… I’ve gotten a bill of more than $ 100 dlls for two burgers, wings, and one beer. and it was all good… I’m not saying I always go looking for expensive food and drinks at expensive places… but when I go eat, and when I can afford it, I enjoy what I want without looking at the price… and when time comes to pay I pay. NEVER have I been told anywhere, big party or small party… that there is a minimum expense requirement. That is as bad, if not worse than those little places where you have to spend at least $ 5 dlls in order to use a credit card. When I order food, I dont want to worry about whether my bill will reach the minimum requirement… I want to eat and drink what I want, enjoy it, and pay for what I consumed. You can just imagine the tension in the room when this should have been a relaxing, enjoyable birthday celebration with friends. When we asked for the check, the waiter tells us the manager said he wasn’t allowed to split the checks, and that the bill had not reached the $ 500 dolar newly minimum required. So we asked to speak to the manager. Several minutes later, the waiter came back and said the manager said he would allow it «this one time». So my question to the manager would be: What were you going to do had you not decided to «let it go» this one time. were you going to hold us in the restaurant until we consumed $ 500 or $ 800 dlls worth of food? I’d love to see that… and about letting it go «this one time»… don’t you worry… there won’t be another time… you lost 15 customers in the two and a half ours we were there. Why two stars? Because the food was excellent… and the waiter was great… none of this was his fault… so I would give the food 5 stars and the waiter 4.5… but once you throw the overall experience into the equation, I cannot give the overall experience more than two stars.

Fabulous! Thank goodness I called ahead for reservations. Delmonico was perfect in size, marble, taste, and the chef cooked it juuust right! See other reviews about the mashed potatoes– wow! Yummy evening with terrific service. We loved the décor, too. Bar has two sides– See or Be Seen! Happy to dress up a bit and enjoy an evening here.

I was really expecting the best food and experience from a friend’s reviews, but this place is not worth the money. We had a large party — 9 people. We ordered calamari(chewy and not seasoned, tasted old) and bone marrow(tasty, but was served with corn tortillas, not the usual crusty bread). Most of us had steaks and they were all cooked improperly and extremely underseasoned. My filet was over-cooked so I sent it back. For the prices we paid for the steaks, they all should have been cooked and seasoned perfectly. Some were overcooked, some were undercooked. But overall, not seasoned well and we had to ask for salt. A colleague that ordered scallops said they were lukewarm and seemed like they were sitting for a while until it got to our table. The women’s bathroom was also really sad. They didn’t remodel it like the rest of the restaurant. There was a ball point pen that was used to lock the stall door. So overall, we will never go back to this place. I am only giving this place 2 stars because the manager made up for terrible dinner by giving us dessert. Most were good, but don’t get the cobbler. Cobbler, it is not. It’s a piece of puff pastry with nicely diced apples on top. It was more like a deconstructed strudel.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and a great happy hour! Champagne Tuna is perfectly paired with risotto and asparugus. The cheese plate is a work of art! Love the music on the wekends!

This is a great place to go for a date night and/or dinner with friends. The ambiance, food, and service was all impressive! They also really know how to mix a classic cocktail. My fiancé got a sazerac and it was straight off the streets of New Orleans! Our waitress was super attentive and made sure we got everything we needed. Five starts for her alone. The food was very tasty! We got the bone marrow to start and I ordered the lobster tacos and my fiancé got the Kansas City Chop. I ordered the broccoli and cheese as my side and it was fantastic. My only warning is that we ordered the steak medium and they definitely served it to us medium-rare. We didn’t really mind so much but if you like your steak a little more cooked you may want to order up or make sure you discuss what you want with your server. Overall we were very happy with our experience at Bogarts!

Great place! The ribeye just melted in my mouth. It was so tasty. The staff were nice although they were very busy and we did not make reservations, they still accomodated us for the patio table which was perfect.

Didn’t realize this place had opened. Missed Suzu. Just wandered in during lunch and got a cubano with a baked sweet potato/granny smith apple side. Exquisite. Good service, great food, and a very nice setting. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu.

I was really looking forward to trying this new steakhouse– however sadly shocked. Service mediocre– my «medium» steak was so overcooked the staff sent it back– didn’t get dinner until everyone was finished. My creamed spinach tasted like thrown together velveeta cheese drenched in soggy long spinach pieces. Very Disappointing! — even charged extra fees and didn’t blink an eye. Will not be back… When I go out to eat I want good food good service– didn’t find it here.

Great food expertly prepared in a equally balanced atmosphere. We needed a place like this one. If you liked Dane’s you will feel right a home.

20’s themed restaurant, friend staff as soon as you walk in. Comfortable seating and prompt service. Ordered some cocktails that were made perfectly. I ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye which is a bone in 40oz monster and mac n cheese. My dated ordered a New York strip topped with chile and melted cheese and a twice baked potato. I was told ahead of time my steak would take longer to be prepared due to its size, which was fine especially being told prior to. As opposed to wondering where it was? Finally arrived and man it was a beast of a steak, smelled amazing and grabbed a lot of attention. Tasted the mac n cheese first and I have to say it is now in my top 3, incredible. The steak i ordered medium, it was super juicy full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Their chef knows what he is doing. My impression of this place was beyond expectations. I was floored by it and will return very very soon. Do prepare to spend more than most places. You get what you pay for and here it is extremely well worth the price for the quality you get from first stepping in the door. Thank you Bogarts for a very nice dinning experience.

It fills my heart with joy to know that there is for a fact a restaurant in El Paso where you can eat gourmet food, be treated with courtesy, and come out feeling like your money was well spent. Bogart’s is this restaurant. Rising from the ashes of SuZu(the past restaurant, that closed down in less than a year ago for reasons unknown), very much like a majestic Phoenix, Bogart’s is the very definition of what fine dining in El Paso is. On to the actual review, the service at Bogart’s is fantastic! The waiters are always attentive, taking any plates from the table that might make it cluttered, and always asking if there is anything else you might need. The ambience is very classy/formal and therefore a formal or classy attire should be worn. In terms of the food, the chef sent us a courtesy dish that just made us feel welcomed as well as satiating our hunger for a bit. I ordered the Dimonicos(I believe) steak. It had a very flavorful taste, however it had ALOT of fat which forced me to have to carve the steak out to get to the meat. What truly had me in awe was the side. Yes, the side dish, it was a creamy plate of mashed potatoes with grated truffles and pieces of lobster. I easily favored it above the main dish and it truly wrapped up my experience at Bogart’s.

I went there for lunch. A friend had mentioned they were going a few weeks ago otherwise I would not have known it was there. Walking in, the décor is very soft and pleasing. Nice music in background. Very good ambiance. Greeted professionally immediately and led to a table. Not empty but close. Reviewed menu and it was exciting. We ordered a Cuban sandwich with sweet potato and apples side plus the ribeye tacos and mac-cheese side. WOW! All were spectacular and service, while not smothering was excellent. I will give this a 5 after I try dinner and check out wine list. Oh, they have ribeye cocktail which is my favorite happy hour treat.
