I love panda! The combination of price, food quality, and reliability earns this place five stars. I have tried numerous Chinese places throughout the Albany-El Cerrito-Berkeley area. It is nearly impossible to get a Chinese takeout dinner for less than $ 10. Tonight I got the two entrée plate, with mixed vegetables as a side order, and an eggroll for less than $ 10! It’s enough food for two nights, and the quality is reliably good. My favorites are the Kung Pao chicken and the tofu egg plant. Granted, the seasoning is not that sophisticated, but it is really good healthy food and great for the price. Additionally, the servers are very nice about asking if the customers want to wait for a fresh batch of their chosen entrée. I really appreciate that attention to customer service.

The store is getting a five star rating based soley on your employee, Aikeem. He is one of the nicest, most helpful employees I’ve EVER encountered at any establishment. He deserves recognition. He remembers orders. He always has a smile even when the store seems to be chaotic. I love his energy. He needs to be in charge of creating the training associates protocol because he would without a doubt create amazing employees if they have even half of his spirit!

Another typical Panda Express. My only complaint here was the worker, her name was Ling, she’s slow as fuck. If you’re looking for Asian«fast» food, don’t come here. She lugs around like she weighs a ton. No sense of urgency at all. The other people were fast and nice though so I threw in a star for that.

For what it is, I enjoy Panda Express. Location is in a shopping center, so plenty of parking. In regards to this location, your best bet is to not show up here within the last hour that they close. There are 2(?) employees who will refuse to make more food towards the end of the night. Several times I’ve walked in there ~40mins before they close and have been turned away because«they’re not making anymore.» Pretty lazy if you ask me, but the rest of the staff are friendly and sincere.

Reached late around 9:30pm to find that I had to wait for 10 minutes till the chowmen was ready. Didn’t want to hop to other restaurants as I was tired so decided to wait. While chowmen was being cooked started having the entrees. Ordered 2 entrees, Teriyaki was ok but sweet chicken was awesome. The quantity was more than enough too. Although they are officially open till 10:30pm, the staffs start end day cleaning before 10pm so not recommended to enter here after 10pm.

The worst Panda Express location ever!!! My boyfriend and I went there at 9:30 on Saturday(30min before closing) and their fires were already off. I wanted orange chicken and the only ones they had were little soggy pieces left in the bowl. My boyfriend and I asked them to make a fresh batch and they refused it saying that the fires was already off… 30min before closing!!! And they didn’t have their most popular item remaining! Was the most disappointing moment of my day! Turning away hungry customers is very bad for Panda Express’ reputation… I will never visit there again! I’d rather go to a more decent Chinese place anyway!

I love the orange chicken here. I don’t think I’ve had better any else where. I love the fortune cookie too! The service is great, and you can always ask for samples. Two of my favorites are orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. The chow mien is also great. I always get it togo because I feel like to go they give you a bit more. I am not arguing the food is authentic but its GOOD. The orange chicken is my obsession. I always get two orders of it plus chow mein.

Fast and cheap. The Asian lady at the counter does not give you a full 1.5x scoop portion; I would avoid her. Why does it cost $ 1.50 more for honey walnut shrimp? WTF

It was awful. I should have known not to go to Panda Express. Everytime I go there, either El Cerrito or San Francisco, I get a stomach ache and the food — yuck!, but I gave it another chance. I was going to give it to my dog, but I didn’t want to do him that way.

Their food is not completely authentic Chinese food, but tastes good. The price is affordable and the size of entrees was big enough. However, I wish they could provide an option to have more kinds of entrees with a smaller size at a time.

Pleasantly surprised on a recent evening when I ran in for some eggplant/tofu and walnut shrimp. There was a long line and they didn’t have enough staff on duty but the food was really good. Yes I like Panda Express. I like Chipotle too. Sue me.

Food was typical for Panda Express but what wasn’t normal was the portions. Our box, bowl & plate were so lightly filled, lots of space for more. My child got 4 shrimps instead of the usually 7 they put. This place is very stingy. Won’t come back to this one.

What can I say? Panda Express is not what I would call top-notch Chinese food, but for some reason it is a guilty pleasure of mine. The pros for me is that it is usually fast, well stocked, and pretty cheap for the quantity you get. I normally get the two entrée meal… and it is more than enough to satisfy my big appetite. A con is that, while the food is OK, it all basically tastes the same. Will that stop me from going there? Heck no! In fact, I’m thinking of picking up some Panda for lunch today.

Service has improved since the last time I reviewed this PE. Staff is very outgoing and helpful. Food is always well stocked so I hardly ever have to wait for them to restock on an item like I used to. Very clean atmosphere I enjoy being a regular here.

I’m going to have to agree with some of the Unilocalers. Taste is good, but portions are ridiculously small. Especially for the dishes that they charge $ 1.00 extra for. It was funny how they tried to keep the managers name from me. I had to ask 3 different people.

I prefer to have a real sit down chinese, but when I’m alone it’s expensive and pointless. So I saw this place and stopped in for some«take out». I ordered half chow mein and half fried rice. The portion was lacking. I also had the surf and turf, and some orange chicken. I shared it when I got home and It was decent, not great, but all together a good value.

PROS: –Affordable(Americanized) Chinese food –Fast service. This place is always busy yet we never have to wait long to order and get our food. –Calories posted next to every menu item. This is very helpful if you’re trying to eat healthier but want to indulge in some Chinese food. CONS: –The food is pretty caloric and chock full of sugar and fat –not healthy at all.

I arrived there 15 minutes before closing. Interestingly they had ran out of chowmin and amazingly told me that since they were closing soon they were not gonna cook more! so I had to get rice which i do not really like. Shouldn’t they have everything ready until they close?!

I LOVEPANDA! Am not lying when I say I go here at least once a week. I love that everything is cooked fresh and that you can see them cooking it! I love that you can see fresh produce in the refrigerators. I love that its in and out service and the workers are so friendly! I love that it is soo damn cheap and you got a lot for your money! I love that its a chain! I wish they had a drive-thru! LMAO! Who cares if its Americanized– Chinese? I know the difference between Chinese food and American Chinese Food and I prefer Panda over traditional Chinese any day. My personal favorite: Kobari Beef, Chow mein and cream cheese Ragoons!
