I Used to be a regular costumer and It used to be a nice place to do my laundry, but after we move from a small apt to a house I only go this place a couple time a month to wash my comforter and big stuff. I like to wash my sheets with hot water so You have to pay $.25– .50 more but there is not hot water, they been steal my money for many years. today the owner was there and he had a lot of issue with many costumers they are spending their money and the machines are not working properly. I always get my comforter dry with 15 minute and this time that wasn’t enough or even close. I try to talked to this Asian guy about my problem and how costumer satisfaction is important and he start argument and yield at me, said that I didn’t add enough money and he is been in that business for 10 years if I’m not ok with that I can go some other place. I’m pretty sure all this negatives review influence In a business. They steal people’s money. Maybe is a $.25 or $ 1.00 but I worked hard for making money and I’m not going to continue making this guy richer. Not consideration or respect for their customers.

I love not having to fumble around with a fat stack of quarters! They have prepaid cards that you load money onto, kind of like a reverse ATM machine. The people who work here, while not overly friendly, are competent and know what they are doing and are reliable when it comes to machines and refunds when necessary. Easy to park and there is a Starbucks across the street which is nice.

NOT my favorite but hey it’s a laundromat. We have washer/dryers in our apartment building, but nothing that can handle our king comforter so I dabble in the laundromat world from time to time. So let’s start with the good: They have plenty of washers/dryers in different sizes and seem to be very popular. The not so good: Their machines work on a card system that takes dollar bills only. There is no ATM on site. After driving down the street to the BofA and getting $ 20 out, I came back to buy my new card. When I out my 20 in the machine said«bill too large.» Apparently you need to first buy the card with $ 1, and then add money but because I came from the ATM I didn’t have $ 1(unless you count the quarters in my pocket which were useless). Luckily another patron laughed sympathetically at my frustration and gave me $ 1. I loaded my $ 20 on and there are no refunds, so now there’s a guarantee I have to come back here– great. There are no instructions on anything which can be confusing. Apparently to add time on the dryer you have to keep inserting your card into the reader which seems dumb(again I had to ask a fellow washer for help). Anyways, long story short I now have to use up this card so I guess I’ll be back.

I have left a previous review on here regarding this business’ former noncompliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. When the complaint was lodged, the owner agreed to meet with me to discuss my experience. Once I met the owner and had a chance to explain to him my issues I found him very receptive. He was unaware of the regulations, and had not trained his staff to accommodate them, but that has since been resolved. I think that the whole situation was one of miscommunication, as they had no idea what the law actually is regarding service animals, and also were unaware that certain situation management might be construed as hostile. However, all of this, I feel, has been actively tackled by the owner, and the staff retrained accordingly. I am very satisfied with the outcome, and while I no longer live in the area to go back and use the laundromat again, I did find it clean and well-appointed when I was there upon the occasion I reviewed. Now that the staff is trained about the law, I do not anticipate that patrons with disabilities will have the slightest trouble making use of this establishment. And given how receptive and constructive they were, I feel they would even be willing to provide assistance and improve the experience of further in the future I am pleased to have met and worked with the owner toward this outcome.

Do NOT expect hot water or customer-oriented management. I came in with a huge load I needed to wash and dry on hot in order to kill bugs in the bedding. Only due to a problem with one washer did I learn that NONE of the machines had hot water because it was«all used up.»(This was around 730⁄8 pm.) The woman on duty touched all the machine doors to verify that the water wasn’t hot, and even turned on a faucet to show that it, too, had no hot water. Later, another, regular, customer said she’d heard other people complain about the issue and had never gotten more than warm water herself. Sure enough, despite drying everything on hot, I felt bugs again that night, when I used some of the just-washed bedding. The woman on duty told me to write everything down on a sheet, then come back the next day. She said the manager would refund the almost-$ 40 I’d wasted because of their false advertising. Instead, the manager barely listened to me, denied all responsibility, and blamed his employee’s newness to the job, my alleged ignorance of commercial laundry, etc. He refused to refund anything and insisted I’d gotten hot water, despite the machine’s cool door during the cycle; lack of hot water from the faucet; and appearance of not-dead mites in my supposedly clean bedding. If you, too, need to hot-water wash, save yourself the headache and drive to Woody’s in Oakland, where I ultimately went. Their large machines cost $ 5.75/load(vs. $ 6 – 8 at New Concept), and the dryers give you 6 minutes/$.25(vs. 3 minutes at New Concept). Much better vibe and setup, too.

Apparently, their«new concept» is to be crappy, have a stupid card system that is annoying yet still doesn’t accept visa cards, and yell at my dog. The legends on the washers made NO sense to me, and there was nothing to do while waiting except dodge cars in the parking lot. Frig these guys.

A few months ago, I would have given this place at least 4 stars. But not now. The place is going downhill. Recently one or more of their really good clerks has left, and in thier place is a new older guy who has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever run across. He also cannot speak English, so forget about getting any real help if it involves anything more than«yes» or «no». Even worse, he smokes VERY near the entrance on his brake time, and the scent lingers. Flicks the light switch to let you know he wants to go home well before closing time, and does not actually know how the washing machines work(claims that only bleach should go into the obvious liquid soap compartment). People mention the big screen TV and«wireless internet». Well, maybe when they first opened in 2008, but I’ve been going here since 2010, there is NO wireless internet unless you go a block to Starbucks or McD’s. Also, the large screen TV is a joke, it’s just playing mexican soap operas all night and there is no remote and the TV is too high to reach. Finally, many of these new machines go for weeks/months without getting repaired. It’s less of a big deal when the place is not too busy, but when it is… ugg. Some of the machines that look like they should work actually do not, so sometimes you get surprised after you already put your money in. And because of this new guy they have working there, you probably won’t get your money back because he will say that he did not see the machine take your money… and of course you can’t prove it. On the good side, it has a great location that is close to many food places, and the place is very spacious. They also use pay cards instead of coins, which is nice. Unfortunately, the many bad aspects have me looking for a new laundromat.

GTL time! Big screen TV, clean bathroom, there is always an attendant that is actually very helpful and nice here. Non coin operated machine, they have a card system where you upload $$ and use the card to pay.
