«» It Used To Be Much Better«« I used to go to the Panda Express off of Jamacha Rd. all the time but since they changed ownership and started to bring in some new dishes it is not as good as it used to be. They also look like they have smaller portion now than they used to have. I might go back and try it again but it definitely is not like it used to be.

One star for the online ordering and customer service. Received an email from Panda Express offering buy one plate get one free. My bust that I did not originally read through indicating this was for online ordering. As I’m standing in line I read the online part but thought I’d go ahead and wait in line and ask was this really a requirement. A women who I assumed was the manager said yes it needs to be online so I step out of line and go to a side table and go through the the whole process even putting in my credit card. The final step would not go through. I tried several times with no luck so I go to the register and ask the same lady if perhaps they received the order and I was just not getting a confirmation. I was concerned because I’d entered my credit card info. She went to where they get online orders and came back and said no she had not received it. By that time I’d spent 15 minutes in this restaurant and because their online system didn’t work I was not allowed to use the special they sent to me asking me to do business with them. No worries I went down the street a bit and was served by Pick up Stix using a buy one get one free coupon with no problem! Just thought I’d let you know why I will think twice about going to your restaurant over Pick up Stix! Have a good evening.

Forks or chopsticks are important to eat a meal. Just know this is one of those cheap/inconsiderate restaurants that does not put forks in your bag. I had to throw my lunch away because i could not eat kung pao chicken and rice with my bare hands at work.

I like this place, clean, good portions, but the only thing that I didn’t like is that when I was looking at the food, deciding what to order he lady there kept on staring at me, kinda like rushing me to order, there were no clients behind me waiting in like. then she asked if I was ready and I said to giver a second, and she just gives me the look. Anyhow, good food, good place just didn’t like the lady’s attitude.

I’m always going here. love the food but it’s just expensive and I personally think the servings are to large. I’d rather pay a little less for a smaller amount. food wise I love the honey walnut shrimp and the steamed veggies. it just makes me mad because sometimes they do it to fast and get veggie juice on my shrimp then it gets soggy. Service is alright I don’t care for a few of the older ladies, but the rest are very nice and helpful.

Ahhhhh! Nothing is more inviting than the potent smell of Orange Chicken. After you’re lured in you see a refrigerator full of fresh cut veggies that I want to just open and eat every last bit of with a fork and side of hummus. But I can’t. So instead I order half of their veggies with white rice and then move over to my protein selections. The veggies are always hot and perfectly firm. They’re not smothered in oil like most places tend to do which counteracts any healthy-ness. Then moving over to protein galore, Mushroom Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki always catch my eye. The mushroom chicken is filled with chicken and pieces of mushroom and zucchini. Not overpowered with veggies though which I love. Then they pull whole pieces of chicken for the chicken teriyaki and cut it on the cutting board for you as you order. It’s cooked in with a teriyaki glaze which makes it deeelicious enough to not have to use extra sauce. I’m normally not a fan of teriyaki, but I can not leave here without ordering it. Always a good alternative when my friends say they’re Chipotle’d out.

pandas teriyaki chicken and mixed veggies chicken was really good and they even asked if I wanted the teriyaki sauce on the side so I said yes and had the option to have the plain grilled or I could dip it in the sauce. great either way mixed veggies were alright, nothing special and I think they could have a better variety of veggies in it

The walnut shrimp here is absolutely delicious. They charge you a little extra but it’s so worth it. The orange chicken and salt & pepper chicken is also very tasty. And the fish entrée they have is really really good. Great taste and everything here tasted very fresh.

4 starts for what it is. Fast, cheap, and average quality. The vegetables are great as well as some of the chicken and beef items. The new item is really not great. You can barely taste the fish and when u do its not good. The shrimp is ok I wish they didn’t bread it. I think they bread the seafood to disguise how gross it is. I rather eat at pick up sticks but the 2 entrée plate is really cool.

I love Panda Express. I’ve been to every location pretty much in San Diego, pacific beach, la Mesa, El Cajon(parkway plaza). And i have to say that this location, may be nice, clean and have a great look inside, isn’t what it seems. The minute i walk up there are two girls working the desk, probably stood there for a about five minutes which neither of them said a word, then said hello and they asked us if we wanted a sample and never even asked what i would like to order and in the middle of taking my order she stopped listening to what i was saying and started talking to the other girl and said she would finish taking my order. Which the other girl looked really irritated that she had to. Really unprofessional. Then i just thought o-well no big deal. Food looked good and just wanted to get out of there because ive been there before and said i wouldn’t go back because of service, so my expectations where low. Then i got home started eating, and the food was way over cooked and looked like it was sitting all day. Really gross and cant believe i spent over 5.00 on chewing shrimp never again! But all the other Panda Express’s out there, You Rock!

Panda Express is now in Rancho San Diego. It is in the Ralph’s Shopping Center. The place is nice and cozy. I had the Kung Pao Chicken with light sauce. It was very good and the ingredients were very fresh. The rice was loose with just a little bit of stickiness which I like so it clings to my food and chop sticks. I look forward to trying their Honey Walnut Shrimp next time I go. Thank you Panda Express for opening so close to home!
