First time here, food was good service was excellent. But also not a busy time of day so I can only speak about the time I was here.

Went here for prime rib. The place was dead, service was just ok. Food was also just ok, I DID enjoy the strawberry/feta salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. The reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 3 is that when you’re spending $ 28 per prime rib, I think horseradish sauce should come in something other than a plastic solo cup. if we came back for prime rib, it would be on the night they’re running a special.

I ate here for the first time this last week. I had been to the bar next door before but never to the restaurant. They were busy and it took about 5 minutes for the six of us to get seated. We had water served to us and was finally greeted by a server about 15 minutes later. We all ordered and my husband and I had gotten a glass of wine which came to us about 5 minutes later. It seemed they share the bar with the bar next door. I’m not sure if they were understaffed that night but the service was horrible. We got our food and then forgotten. The food was ok. This place is nothing to want to come back to.

This is a very lame place to go to first you waite 10 minutes to even be acknowledged then the menu let’s be realistic here not only are we getting gmo beef but to charge 30 dollars for a plate that won’t fill you up this place is one of the worst around the area

Very poor service. The restaurant was not busy at all. Still, we waited over an hour for the food to serve to our table. Also very disappointed because we have to ask for refilled on drinks, the waitress never came around to check whether our drinks need to be refilled. Then, when our food brought to our table and found the waitress changed the side dish without informing us prior. No wonder only few customers in the restaurant. With this type of service, we never eat there again.

Great bartenders and good music! Very relaxed vibe and great prices! Come here often! Never tried the restaurant but the bar menu is always delicious

Stopped by last night because my friend wanted a steak and we heard they have a steak special on saturdays. The bar was about 75% full and the Chargers game was on so it was pretty lively. We sat at a table and a server came over immediately(attractive blonde in a 49ers beanie) and took our drink order. The tap list was ok. A lot of east county breweries but could use a little more variety. The atmosphere and decore has a littke bit of that rec room/VFW feel to it. It would be nice if they could theme it up a but. A lot of flat screens so we were able to enjoy the game and the server was very attentive. The place filled up after a while but she was still on the ball. My friend git a rib eye that was huge and he devoured it so i assumed it was good. The special was $ 10 off the steak which is a pretty nice special I had a patty melt that was juicy and delicious. Overall a good experience and i would recommend it for a chill, east county spot with good food and good service.

All I can say is what a joke. The only reason they get 2 stars is because of the great service you get from the bartenders they have left. Maybe if the owners spent as much tine improving the place as they did trying to get tail and handing out gift cards they might get rud if their roach infestation. Bar filled with flies. Food quality varies from day to day as you can see from prior reviews. Overpriced with lack of quality shows why this place should be called the junction diner. A good cocktail with good people should be all you can expect to get out of this place. But if your looking for a free drink and you have breasts, thus is your spot. Just make sure you watch them pour your drink cause the owners may add a little extra to your drink. Cheers!

I was here recently and had their steak sandwich with fries and nachos as an appetizer. The cook must have over seasoned my steak, because it was too salty. I couldn’t even finish it. The nacho chips were good, but again way too salty. The worse part was the cheap shredded cheese. It wasn’t even close to being melted and was very greasy. There was a puddle of oil on the plate that soaked and ruined the nacho chips. I’m not sure about there other menu items, but these two I do not recommend. I’d stick to bar area next door and their adult drinks from this place.

I love this place! Food is ok, atmosphere is fun, jukebox is awesome & it’s usually packed on Fridays & Saturdays. Best place to go out in East County! The bartender Jose is the best! He pours great drinks & is just a nice guy all around. My boyfriend & I come here a couple times a month& have been for the last 10 years. It is east county so don’t expect anything fancy but do expect to be hungover the next day!

Can’t say enough about the food(steak bites and house salad). The drinks a bit pricey, but for us service has always been good. When you walk in it’s like Toby Keith’s song. Opinionated old favorites sitting at the bar and always good service. Tonight Bridgett waited on us. Our drinks were full. The food was yummy. She did a good job. I love the Junction! =}

So after wanting to try this place we finally did today. Well we will never again. It took almost an hour for our food. Our drinks went dry and our waiter ignored us. When our food finally arrived we asked for it to be boxed up. The place was not busy there were only people at 3 tables and one of those tables was us. When we got our bill the waiter gave us a coupon for our next visit, I am thinking no, but when we got into our car we noticed that the coupon expired last year! So when we got home to eat our food I noticed that it looked as though someone had taken a bite out of the pickle that came with my meal. I would have asked for a manager while we were there but was so frustrated that I just wanted to leave. I will be contacting a manager about this bad experience.

We ‘won’ a gift card and I knew from the reviews this was going to be a rocky night. And it was pretty much like the other reviews have stated. The service was horrid and the food was just OK. We watched others that came in later getting served before us, as well as food actually arriving with the bill and no one checking back with us. All the usual mistakes to piss a customer off. Yes I saved on the tip. Blah, blah, blah… just go elsewhere where your business is appreciated.

My wife and I enjoy eating and relaxing at the Junction Steakhouse. The waitresses are friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Over the years we have tried several east county restaurants and have found the Junction to be the best. The quality of meat they offer is outstanding, the wide variety of salads are excellent. It would be nice if they changed the vegetables but other then that I would recommend the Junction. There is a room off the restaurant that can be used for a small get together, which holds about 60 people. We recently had a mini reunion in the room and it was great along with the service provided by April, Ashley and Shilo.

My family and I went here for breakfast this morning. We got there about 9:30 and walked in surprised to find we were one of 3 patrons. It was dead quiet and the hostess/server/cook was the only employee there. Besides the fact that it was weirdly quiet, the atmosphere was OK. We had to whisper in order for the rest of the patrons not to hear our entire conversation. So after 5 min. we asked her, «Is there music supposed to be on or something» and she replied«Oh yeah, I forgot!» Anyways, my dad ordered a bloody mary, which was awful. I asked for an iced coffee which I received 20 min. later and another«Oh I forgot all about it!» came in response. Then I received my eggs benedict and the english muffin was black. She also was next to our table when my 9 month old dropped a toy and she looked at it on the ground and said«Im not falling for that.» Maybe handing it to me would have been a better gesture? She also was NEVER around, always in the back doing god knows what. Our food took 45 minutes to come out even though the restaurant was EMPTY. It was just an awful, annoying experience and we will never be going back. I will be discouraging others from visiting this place as well.

The first time we went here we sat in the bar area it was loud and it took a bit for the one server to come and get our order but it was sooo good. Before we ordered the table next to us was telling the waitress that their fish tacos wasn’t as good as it was last time they were there. The waitress said that the B chefs had just gotten off work and that was probably why, I was a bit nervous to order but, the Prime rib sandwich was the bomb, I got it with the home made potato chips. This time we went back just for that and we decided to sit in the restaurant side. It was very quiet, not even low music in the bathroom and there were 2 other tables their besides us. We weren’t over the top loud but it seriously felt like we were in a library. My husband and I ordered the prime rib sandwich and my friend got a salad. Our sandwich’s weren’t as great as they had been the last time and the one server(a different one) wasn’t very attentive to our table. She forgot the horseradish sauce that came with the order and by the time she brought it we were half done with our food. Needless to say I think we got the B chefs as well as the B waitress… I’m willing to try this place again because the Prime Rib Sandwich is to die for if the A team is working. If I do try it again I’ll go to the bar side and talk to the waitress about the chefs before ordering. Hopefully it will be good. I’d really like to give this place more stars because the first experience was outstanding but we’ll have to see.

This place looked like a morgue when we walked in. There was no music, no one was talking, the 18 tvs were on but there was no sound… just a real drag for a place touting«happy hour». Also why don’t they have any happy hour drink specials? The place is nicely set up and I imagine that it might be different during game days but I just wouldn’t go back after this experience. Also it was either the beer or the glass that smelled of straight ass bleach, I could still taste it after we left. Save your money and drink at home or go somewhere where they actually have happy hour drink specials.

I gave this joint two tries before writing this review. I also phoned the manager, and she was pretty much un-concerned with my displeasure so I will spell it out for the rest of you. Not aknowledged upon entering the restaurant (the hostess was too busy flirting with customers) When we finally were seated, she just pointed to a table and said you can sit there — SHEDIDNOTGIVEUSANYMENUS. After waiting about 10 minutes, I got up from the table and asked her for some, she brought them over and threw them on the table. Unbelievable! It took over twenty minutes for the waitress(named Brenda) to say«I’ll be with you in a minute» She never brought the water we asked for The salad was warm, and on a WARMPLATE. When the entrees finally arrived — OVER1HOURAFTERORDERING, She had screwed up two of the four orders at our table. Said the kitchen messed it up. NO, I think SHEWROTETHEORDERWRONG. Then proceeded to try and switch the steaks herself at the table? TOTALLYUNPROFESSIONAL. I am hoping to have my call returned by the manager whom I was told is named Jenna. I left a message today. Don’t eat here unless you want the wrong food, and want to be treated like crap.

Wow, was I disappointed. Not many places serve liver & onions, but I figured at a $ 15 price tag this better be good(after all, I know what liver costs). I started out with their New England Clam Chowder because it was a cold & rainy day. After 2 spoonfuls I had to stop. It had an odd, overly sweet taste to it and definitely was not ‘traditional’. I couldn’t eat any more of it. I had specifically ordered the liver to be cooked medium rare, because over cooked liver tends to get tough. Well it came medium well, which wasn’t the real problem. it had obviously been sauteed in some mystery sauce/glaze, which might have been OK if it had been a regular steak. The flavor put me off from what I had been expecting as a typical liver & onions dish and I was only able to struggle through half the meal. My waitress asked me how I had liked everything, and when I told her she did offer to have something different cooked for me to eat. At that point I was not thrilled with the culinary skills of the kitchen so I declined the offer. No offense, but maybe I should have surmised the quality of the food because all of the other 6 – 8 customers in the dining room were all 65+ years old. If someone offered me the same meal @ $ 5.00, I would not accept it.
