I was very impressed with the services provided by Glenview Glass & Screen. An attempted burglary was made on my home. My rear sliding glass door was shattered and severely damaged in the process. I met with Craig for a proposal and he worked with my insurance company to ensure they understood what was required to restore the home to its former condition. The end result was nothing short of magnificent. This is a very honest company to deal with and they deliver as promised. I highly recommend their service!

After calling a couple other window repair companies, Glenview gave me a rough quote that was much better than others I had received. So, last Wednesday, Sept. 17^th, I dropped it off. As I was driving away, the gentleman I spoke with over the phone caught me in the lot and said it would most likely be about $ 40 more than what he said on the phone. Apparently his first quote reflected just ordering me the glass for my window, which I would then install the glass myself, because, you know, me the average customer knows how to do that. But whatever, the price was still good, so fine.
I call on Friday the 19^th to check on my order, am told he can’t find my invoice and will call me back in a few minutes. HE NEVER CALLS BACK.
Monday the 22^nd I get a call the window is done. I go in and meet with Denise, I believe her name is, and am told the price is now about $ 60 more than the original phone quote. Now, I understand that the original phone quote was rough, but being stopped on my way out of the parking lot with a different price at the initial visit, calling to check on the status of my order and receiving no call back or even a courtesy call before the job was completed to inform me of what the final cost would be and being blindsided by a substantially higher price at the register shows that Glenview glass and Screen has an at best remedial understanding of what basic customer service looks like or entails.
All Denise said was that the gentleman I spoke with is new and she would «get on him» for it. That’s awesome, you do that Denise, but that doesn’t fix how you guys swindled me. And even if he is new, this could have been avoided if you guys had a policy (which I assume you don’t since it didn’t happen) to call customers if the proposed quote has changed with an explanation of why. So, 1 star and word of mouth to avoid Glenview Glass and Screen at all costs.
