I came here for my cousin post high school graduation. This was my first time here. The place seemed to be well decorated and clean as well. I came on a night where a person was performing his songs and he was great. Alright let’s talk about food and service. The server did an amazing job serving us and was polite. The food was great. The portion size seemed enough. It was not too small nor too big. The prices were a bit expensive, however the quality of the food tasted excellent as expected. Overall the atmosphere, the staff, the experience were great.

What a disappointment. The restaurant is beautiful inside but the food did not hold up. Sat at the bar ordered whole bunch of apps. Clams casino a bit past their prime a weird fishy after taste, lamb sliders very sad cause the burgers were pre bought. Dense and heavy. Chips on the side badly needed salt. Potstickers were ok. The only saving grace was the pizza /slash flatbread. Crispy and good with fresh toppings. Drinks were good but they ran out of greygoose. Bartenders were really nice and on top of their game. But would not go back.

Pretty nice place. Excellent beer selection with a large bar area, or plenty of tables also. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to go eat and enjoy a beer or 2.

Still had a good beer selection and the food was good, but my rating went down to a 3 based on service. Bartenders weren’t that friendly and very slow. Complete opposite from last experience. None of the same enthusiastic people seem to work there anymore.

Very fair. I had the ribs and they were fair. The mashed potatoes were clumpy and tasted weird. The coleslaw way too much mayo. My husband had the New York strip it was okay but he liked long horns better. It’s very expensive and dinners come without a salad or soup. I liked the menu and the atmosphere better when it was Berkshire. They still have the great oil and pesto for the bread. I miss the old menu and the 8 after 8 menu that they had a Berkshire. Lastly the Berkshire was much more cozy. The décor is blah like the food. Waiter was slow took forever because he was busy telling everyone about his surgery and ailments. I guess he tries to be personable. Very limited menu!

Had a great time here Saturday night. Met friends to celebrate a birthday and loved the atmosphere. The drinks were great and the staff was friendly and responsive. They had great live music – which I always love! I didn’t eat, but the food looked amazing. I definitely will be back to try their food.

Great beers and great pizzas! I would have given it 5 stars but the app we had was not good.(Shrimp and Veggie Tempura). Loved the Margarita pizza and the pear and Gorgonzola.

Made a reservation for the day before Valentine’s Day. Thinking it would be busy. We arrived and we were sat near the live band, at a high top table. So, don’t bother making a reservation. We couldn’t hear each other talk. I figured that we would at least be sat in one of the 30 nice booths they have. Nice bar & great selection of Craft Beers. The food was terrible. I ordered the crab cakes for $ 28. No salad or bread. I was served what had to be the worst crab cake, that I’ve ever had. Terrible… It was a mound of hard, spongy, stringy crabmeat. My wife tried it and was like… What is that? It tasted like a sponge of sea water. That’s the best way to describe it. I’m not sure who thinks these crab cakes should be served. But they were barely edible. I probably should have sent it back. But, I ate a half of one. My wife tried it & we shared her filet. Filet was good. I also got potatoes with the crab cakes. They were sitting under a heat lamp. My wife & I are both former bartenders & are not new to the business. This wasn’t good. Sorry!

Visited The Flatstone Grill on Friday night with some friends. The place was busy with holiday excitement and energy… We sat in the kitchen area in front of the pizza oven, it was warm and cozy. The server was attentive and informative in menu items. We started with the crab artichoke dip and the jar spreads(my favorite)… I sampled a few craft beers, settling on a seasonal ale that was awesome… * note*. They have a large selection of draft beers that change often. My wife ordered the homemade veggie burger. She has ordered that before and says it’s her favorite. Our friends had a pasta dish and the prime rib sandwich… Both looked well prepared. They were !!! I ordered the Rubino pizza!!! What a unique item. Two of my favorite meals in one! A Cornbeef Rubin and a pizza together. Everything about this is a winner. The crust was thin and crispy, and the Cornbeef salty. Swiss cheese and a touch of sauerkraut. YUM!!! I’m still thinking about it as I write this. We finished the meal with two of their homemade desserts … The peanut butter pie, and the warm apple crisp with ice cream … Another win! On the way home both couples raved about the meal and will be regulars. Also a side note: They had live entertainment playing in the bar area. And had a large holiday party in the side room. This place has something for everyone.

This place is so underrated. All of the servers and bartenders are attentive and personable. Since renovating they have made major improvements. My sister and I were in tonight and Ryan the bartender was amazing. Extremely attentive and informative. Our happy hour appetizers were perfect and the presentation was great. I look forward to coming back!

We live in the area and decided to try it out. Pleasantly surprised with this place since Berkshire was not so good. Service was excellent, I think Dan was our server. The food was very good, I got chicken risotto and French onion soup. Vibe is nice, cool décor and clean modern look. Wasn’t super busy but what is in Atlantic county these days. Plus who wants mental crowds? As for some of the bad reviews I read, I think people just love to complain. Try it for yourself and decide on your own, worth a try.

My experience here was«meh». The bartenders were bored and though we were greeted and served right away, I got the impression they would rather be any place else but here. I had made a comment to my friend about one of the songs that was playing and one of the two bartenders said the song was making her crazy and she wishes she could disappear everytime it comes on. Um… ok, thanks for that… hope your day gets better. We had a few glasses of wine and ordered food. I had a garden burger and got a handful of broken french fries. Looked like they scraped whatever was in the container. My friend had potato wedges with her food and they were raw. Would I go back there again, doubt it. It was not the worst place I ever ate, but honestly there are so many better places where you can actually eat everything that is on your plate and the staff is happy to be there… why bother with this place?

Staying at the Homewood Suites with my wife for our anniversary, we stopped into the Flat Stone twice this weekend, which was right around the corner. Good live music both Friday and Saturday night. We didn’t eat dinner but had salads and a Margherita pizza. The salads were fresh. The pizza was very tasty; super thin and crunchy crust. Service both nights was great. The live music was also really good. The restaurant is clean and very comfortable. Will visit again when we get back to Egg Harbor Township.

I dined at the bar, the bartenders were efficient and friendly, no complaints there. Wine by the glass list is a little sparse, but they had good options. Cocktails looked nice. The dinner menu is a bit small with mid range pricing, they do also offer a happy hour. Food arrives quickly, a little unexciting, yet apparently fresh. Bar was way more full that the restaurant. I plan to come back, the scallops sound delicious for sure.

SEVENTEENDOLLARS for an express lunch capellini with chicken whose pasta must have been still draining when the sauce was added says it all because that’s all you get … pasta, two pieces of chicken, tomatoes, spinach and cheese melted to the bottom of the bowl with a decent tasting sauce diluted by the water from the pasta. My dining partner said that the sauce looked like a thin soup. Did I mention that you do not get any salad for your SEVENTEENDOLLAREXPRESSLUNCHPASTADISH? Did I mention that you do not get any bread with your SEVENTEENDOLLAREXPRESSPASTA with TWOPIECES of CHICKEN? The EXPRESS must mean that you skip the salad while waiting and waiting for the SEVENTEENDOLLAR watered-down pasta dish and since you had ordered an express lunch you would have no time for bread anyhow. I will admit that I somehow misread the price … never imagining an express lunch pasta could cost SEVENTEENDOLLARS but our slow moving neglectful waitress ran to bring the menu back to me to verify that I had made the mistake(By the way, all the other reviews about poor service were verified by our experience as the sole diners at lunch time whose water glasses were not refilled. I watched the waitress counting dollars at the bar register and then count them again while we were waiting for our check never suspecting that my pasta ala no salad nor bread was going to cost me what a decent complete dinner would cost at a much nicer eatery. We arrived at 1:30 and found just another couple diners in this newly renovated restaurant. The colors are welcoming and the prior restaurant’s individual dining areas were gone along with many of the walls. It took a few minutes but the«pop art» paintings on the wall that took away from the comfort level of the restaurant actually were all paintings where beer was the subject. I think someone’s feng shui was off when those went up on the wall. The oddest element of the decorative style of the interior design is the fake candle with the margarine-like wick stuck in a canning jar filled with stones(We kept looking at the bright white base and waxy fake wick laughing that it had such a close resemblance to a chunk of old margarine.). Ah, back to the service … we were greeted warmly and presented with a very limited lunch time menu that had pizza, burgers, and some speciality sandwiches on it(Perhaps the dinner menu is more exciting.) and one sheet of lunch specials with a few options including my SEVENTEENDOLLAR pasta EXPRESSLUNCH(on quick glance the price looked like $ 11 but it was $ 17 … my bad). The waitress very clearly said the soup of the day was a Manhattan chowder(With the sliders or sandwiches you had your choice of the soup of the day, a salad or french fries.). So the orders went in including sliders with a cup of the chowder. After a significant wait … I think they had to process the wheat into pasta … the waitress came out to say she was mistaken but the soup of the day was not a chowder but a chicken noodle soup(Now, it is not as if this is a busy lunch spot so one would think that the waitress who had been serving lunches must have noticed the soup in the kitchen on her travels back there.). So, it was decided to disappointedly stay with the soup. The soup may very well have come out of a can. It had a salty celery flavor with limited bits of chicken(See pasta description for their concept of chicken ratio in food items.). The lamb sliders were very good but they were sliders, which means SMALL. The original plan was to go to a chain restaurant that had just started serving lunch. We could have had lunch for two for less than I paid for my watery pasta and service would have been top notch. Needless to say … we were disappointed and have decided to put a wall up around this place if we are ever tempted to pull into their parking area. Based on the other reviews … you should too.

Don’t bother… Drive on by. We had the mussels with curry sauce. We were assured that the mussels are popular and brought in fresh daily. Big. Fat. Lie. They were old, stringy, and tasted like dead mussels. Ugh. We told our server and received back an «I’m sorry you didn’t like them.» No. I would have liked them just fine had they been fresh. The meal went further down hill from there. I ordered a dinner salad that was supposed to be topped with goat cheese and heirloom tomatoes. What I got was a dusting of goat cheese and 2 halved under-ripe grape tomatoes… Hmmm. If you don’t have the ingredients then 86 the menu item. It’s overpriced and oversold. The owner wants to draw in a younger crowd with an updated menu. Here’s a tip… If you want to draw people in… Have your food represent want you are selling on the menu.

Tried this new place on a Sunday night. Not very crowded. Very well staffed. Very limited menu. Wouldn’t even call it basic bar fare. The service was horrific. And it wasn’t for lack of staff. They were all over. I had a salad and my boyfriend had a burger. Both were good but not memorable. The piece of salmon was cooked perfectly but on the small side. The cons out weighed the pros. Won’t return.

I thought the prices were a bit high, you’re paying for the renovation not the food. Margarita Pizza was just ok. The sauce was nothing special, cheese too sparse even for Margarita pizza, but the crust was crispy. My daughter’s chicken fingers were blah, straight out of the freezer… I buy better quality at BJ’S. Her berries looked like they were a mix of frozen and fresh. They have a lot of improvement to do.
