Best steak cheese place in town. Love the roll they use. I am a fan of White House steak and cheese place as well and this is just as good if not better.

Tried to find one last philly cheesesteak before flying out and found this clean and well run sub shop. Great cheesesteak!

Very good subs! One of the best rolls I have ever had. They have the look of a hard roll but they are soft and chewy! The small order of cheese fries were plenty for the three of us. The meet was plentiful on the subs as well.

Went there twice in one weekend with a few different people each time. The first time we dined I and it was incredible. The subs were fresh and delicious. The Curley fries with cheese were perfect. The entire staff was extra friendly especially our waitress. The place was clean and I loved the atmosphere. Even though it was only 46 degrees outside I felt like I was on the AC Boardwalk. The second time we ordered food to go we had the same great experience except the fries did not stay hot and went soggy very quickly. I think they need to be wrapped in an aluminum tin instead of the styrofoam container. Will definitely be going back.

We’ve tried the cheesesteaks a few times and unless you order extra meat and cheese, the sub is pretty wimpy. There are other places that make you a good cheesesteak in the first place, without you having to order extra meat and extra cheese(and extra fried onions, if you’re into that). Not very impressed.

Never short of perfection! I’ve been coming here for years and have never gotten a bad sub! Always fresh and always fast, a good taste of South Jersey!

Solid all around. Can’t go wrong. Hot crispy curly fries, a beautiful cheesesteak with lots of options. I tried the hot peppers, a nice shredded blend layered on top. Perfect hotness, not overwhelming. My lady had the Atlantic city regular which is an Italian, very good. I preferred my hot sub though, this is pretty close to Philly after all… And btw, a «half» is a whole. For $ 9, good deal. Share it with a friend or get two and bring some home. Friendly staff makes it a winner!

Great sandwiches and I’m really in love with their curly fries. I’ve eaten here forever and feel like over the years I’ve tried most of the things on the menu.

I ordered delivery from ACSS over the weekend, and it was really delicious. Let me first say that I’m from Philly, so it’s not easy to impress me when it comes to subs(or hoagies, as we lovingly refer to them). I ordered the«Atlantic City Regular», which is known as an Italian Hoagie where I’m from. The delivery was really prompt and the driver was pleasant. The sandwich itself really was delicious. The quality of the meat itself was very impressive, and the sandwich ingredients were very balanced. It wasn’t piled on with lettuce as so many sandwiches usually are, so I didn’t have to deal with everything constantly falling out of my hoagie… err…sub. The only bummer was that they didn’t have any pickles or long hots. I couldn’t tell if this was something they didn’t carry or they were just out. Either way, you lost a star for that one, bro. I will say, as much as I like White House Subs and Sugar Hill for outstanding sandwiches(and their availability of pickles and long hots), ACSS might still win out because of the supreme quality of their meats.

Cheesesteak is average, same for the Italian. They put almost no meat on them! Nice place to sit down and eat and the staff is friendly but compared to other places it isn’t worth the hype. The home made brownie is good though.

There wasn’t much in this area so we decided to try this place due to its good reviews on Unilocal. It’s definitely a decent alternative to Subway but really not that impressive. I got the veggie melt which had peppers, onions, and mushrooms heated up and covered in cheese. The sandwich was piping hot, but the mushrooms were from a can which was disappointing. The bread was also nothing special, which was also a letdown. My husband got a roast beef sandwich and shared my sentiments that it was fine but not great. The service was fast though and it’s not that the food was bad, just nothing memorable.

We were hungry on our way down to AC so I Unilocaled it up to find this place in a little plaza. The service was really friendly. Prices were pretty cheap. We got the«healthy» chicken sandwich– I forget the name but it had a little heart symbol. We split a half and it was more than plenty. I posted a pic if you want to see a half of a half. We also order the mozz sticks which was just ok, but really cheap. What I love is the seating… looks like old school type carriages.

pretty good subs in a place hidden away in an anonymous strip mall in the midst of a sort of NJ asphalt oblivion. I love that they have multi-grain bread and some healthier sub choices. If you eat in there is a waitress, the servers are very friendly. I tried their«home made» beach bum brownies, they are indeed quite good.

Two subs, Two places in one day. This comes close to the White House Subs. There were eight of us at our little party and these subs were filled with meat and cheese. They opened one in Hollywood, Florida but it did not last long, too bad. The bread always great, its Formica. Most babies are raised on bottled milk, me subs. Santo Formica owns it. and we know the family well. My cousin Jimmy T really loves there subs, his father Jimmy Tummarello had the first sub shop in Atlantic City, in 1939. And my cousin Vence opened Rex Sub shop, so WEKNOWSUBS.

Always have been a big fan of AC Sub shop. I have literally been coming here since I was 6 years old, and the food is still as good as ever! Would suggest trying the curly fries, they really add to any sub!
