Massage Luxe

Massage was ok, but was kind of creeped out by the guy that did it. Now I’m extremely creeped out after seeing said massage therapist in the news for playing grab-​ass with clients at this exact location. Gross.

My experience with the front desk and management has been a nightmare. They have poor customer service and professionalism. The same mistakes keep occurring and no reprimands to individuals making the same major mistakes. Messing up clients billing and scheduling of their appointments is not some small mistake when it happens frequently. This happened to many times to where I canceled. They also lack respect for their other employees and therapist. I was in for an appointment and I over heard some chatter from the asst manager talking to another employee about inappropriate affairs regarding another employee that was extremely unprofessional. I also thought it was uncalled for how I witnessed them speaking to their fellow emplyees that assume isn’t liked or friends with them. Who knows. I’d hate to work there is all i have to say.

I have went here a few times and now have cancelled being here. The original person that setup my monthly account, was Marquis. He did not handle things well, and did not charge me for the initial massage and told me that I would only pay $ 10.00 additional dollars for the second massage and nothing more. I gave him the credit card to use and thought it was setup. Then when I returned for my second massage Toni was there and she wanted me to pay for the second massage again. I explained I was told my Marquis that it was free for signing up. The asst. manager — Jennifer was there with Toni and said let it go. Then within 20 minutes Jennifer is calling me stating Marquis was new and there had been some problems with him, but that they were going to bill my credit card for the charge and that I had got the first massage for free, «so it was a wash». The problem is that Marquis that incorrectly billed me the night before for the second massage for $ 44.00, so I was charged twice, once for $ 44.00 and then again for $ 68.66. If Jennifer the asst. manager had been paying attention or knew what was going on this would have not happened. I caught this charge on my credit card and called then and had it removed, really??? Then there was all the stuff with the news about the one massage therapist and being arrested and that is who I was having massages with. I had to find this out on the news instead of thru Massage Luxe, how awful this was! So then I decided to cancel the entire thing with them today, 5-​31-​2015, and spoke to Toni, she said she was in charge, and told me my charge to my credit card would be on 6-​1-​2015. I told her that I wanted to cancel my membership with them. She wanted to know why, I told her, due to the one massage therapist. She offered me a 30 minute free to my account and I could see a female therapist. I told her no. Her attitude (and she had one) changed and said I had to come into the location to cancel it or I could mail it certified. I asked if I could fax it to her, she refused. When I went in today to handle this, the paperwork was there, Toni, did not speak to me or even look at me. Another employee handled the cancelled and did not have the date of cancellation in it and no manager’s signature was on it. The other young lady said the manager would review it tomorrow and sign on it, but gave me my copy??? This place is whack… I had to drive into there to cancel, but no one in charge (Toni) signed it. I will look for a more professional company…

Enjoyed my visit today! Modern décor, professional staff and relaxing atmosphere. Received a one hour massage and a 15 minute Hydroluxe session, which is basically a water bed that you lay on fully clothed while the water is sprayed under you. I will be returning soon!

Wow! Had a couples massage with my beloved bride (her idea; brilliant woman, surprised she married me). The facility is beautiful, the staff is professional while also relaxed and inviting. The HydroLuxe water massage bed is an incredible precursor to the actual massage. Christie was my therapist, Lyndsey was my wife’s, and they were both amazing. I highly recommend their services (in fact, I referred a friend this evening after our massage)!

Experience was great my husband and I had a couples message. My husband had joyce he said she did really well, and he felt relaxed. I had Will, he was amazing! I would recommend him to anyone. We will be going back. We will be asking for Will again.

Christie is hands down the best. She is the reason I keep my membership active. I’m so glad I found her after having many average massages at the edwardsville location.
The facility is very nice. There is a very relaxing and professional ambience. The walls are not well insulated as I can hear hallway conversations during my massage.
I typically have enjoyed pairing my massage with a facial, but I will be discontinuing facials at this particular locations. Shauna, the blond esthetician does an okay job, but is seemingly so unaware. I gave her two tries, thinking my first bad experience was just a fluke; second time was just as terrible. She gave me a dirty robe. She left the bed so elevated that I had to jump up to get on it. Since her face is directly above my face during the service, it was evident she had onions for lunch. The second time she hit me in the head with the lamp and made no acknowledgement of it and spent 20 minutes giving me her single mom of 2 sob story. Stephanie was mediocre at best. Her touch was very dainty, despite my request for a deep cleanse of my pores. She also recommended an upgraded facial for a deep cleanse, but the facial she recommended is for events such as weddings. This location just does not have a strong esthetician, so I will not be wasting my money on the facial services here. Hoping for better luck when the fairview heights location opens.

Went here for a couples massage everything went really good I like the modern look and feel of this place. We had an hour massage that was excellent we are going back next month for another. Also they have a water bed that you do after your massage is over and its a water massage which was cool. We will continue going here for sure

I LOVE the Massage Luxe in Edwardsville. I have received many, many massages all over the world, including some from world class spas, and Christie is the best, hands down. I wish I could go every week!

Great new addition to Edwardsville. Love the lavish comfy rooms. Good service and relaxing massage. Planning to be a regular.
