Great fish and chips, huge gigantic fillets. A 1 fillet is more like a 2 – 3 piece at any other fish joint. Perfectly cooked, chowder was good too! There is a bit of a view of some snow capped peaks on the right day! Enjoy these huge servings!

Meh maybe it’s better if you just get fish and chips. I got hot chocolate, clam chowder, and clams. Worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. So watered down. Hardly tasted like chocolate and just watery. Wound up adding creamer to make it half bearable. Just not good, couldn’t even finish it. I wasn’t expecting anything gourmet, but I feel like there’s a standard for cheap hot chocolate from fast food joints and this was far below that standard. The clam chowder was disappointing too, not really any flavor and pretty thin. The fried clams were good. You have to pay for tarter which I think they should make more obvious since most people assume you get condiments for free. But whatever maybe I was too focused on getting food and didn’t really read through all of the menu. I’ve been to the Alki location — got a fish and chip combo meal thing, and really really liked it. Maybe the sides and drinks just suck? Maybe they need to figure their stuff out still? The people working were polite, and it was clean inside. Unfortunately only enjoying 1⁄3 of the things I ordered makes me skeptical to give it another shot. I’d rather just go to Ivars.

Sometimes I’m guilty of posting reviews before I let my emotions(yes I do have them even if my wife claims I don’t) calm down and maybe those said emotions can influence my review a star or two. I stopped by Spuds on Sunday at a weird time. Like 4pm or something so I was after the lunch crowd and before the dinner crowd. The place was pretty empty. I noticed that the owner was the only one behind the counter. I know this because she had made contact with me on my previous review. I ordered a double fish and this time I backed it with a prawns only. She brought me my fish rather quickly and I mentioned that I should have prawns coming also… and she realized that she had forgot about those. She went back and cooked them up for me while I enjoyed my fish. She brought me my prawns and then proceeded to give me some credit on my next visit since she forgot about them. I told her that this was completely unnecessary since it was only a small delay and I wasn’t even finished with my fish. She insisted. My point here is that she really followed through on her customer service and had no idea who I was and that I had written a less than stellar review from my previous visit. I appreciate the customer service. Nice job!

If you happen to be passing by the Edmonds waterfront area– and needing a quick fish & chips fix– now this is the place! We have been regulars in the Green Lake space and happy that they are here by Edmonds now! Same good quality of food, quick service at a great price. and I DON’T mind the 50 cent tartar sauce. Clean and spacious. great location near the Cascade Art Museum. and lots of parking too! A Great Seattle and soon Northwest tradition.

Guess I was expecting it to be like the old one on Green Lake and Alki. Yup, not impressed. and I made a special trip to check it out. I wanted to try the original cod and a piece of halibut. Could not tell them apart and you know how expensive halibut is! Batter was dry, don’t know if it was prepared ahead of time and kept under a warmer but that’s what it tasted like. The tarter I paid for was literally a pot of mayonnaise(Dicks is better!). And of course the french fries were frozen sticks of wood heated in oil. Nothing to rave about and I was really hoping I had found a decent place for fish and chips(besides my home)! I want to say that old folks would probably love this place, it’s so bland, but I’m an oldster myself and I won’t be going back. On the bright side, the service was very good!

Couldn’t wait to go. Went on a Saturday night. Food was fast. I had the halibut and chips Food was okay but for $ 11 not worth it… and you have to pay for tarter? Not impressed to feed 3 for $ 50. Sterile atmosphere, bland food and the counter help didn’t know the sweet Chili sauce from the marinara sauce. We will not be going back. I will stick with Ivars.

First time here and not at all impressed. Shrimp looked nice but was under cooked, batter was a little soft. The price of clam chowder was in the range of a fresh chowder but its canned. In fact the prices across the board are high for a fish stand. These prices make me feel that I walked into seafood restaurant. They also make you pay for your tarter or cocktail sauce. I would think that for these prices it would be included. Not everything is bad though, thats why I gave them a star. The service was nice and the place was clean. However I will not come back.

Pretty solid fish and chips. Nothing too special, but a good way to grab some lunch if you’re getting on the ferry. Got 2 pieces of cod & chips with house-made tartar sauce.
