IF this were the only time this has happened going through the drive-thru I wouldn’t be writing this, but… tonight after waiting in the line just to get my order for roughly 20 minutes I ordered my food and told them I would like mild and hot sauce and asked them to repeat my order back which they did correctly. When I get to the window to get my order he asked me if I wanted sauce again I said yes hot and mild. I asked if someone checks that the order is all in the sacks and was told yet they do. Well in case no one has guessed the scenario I’ll share it now. There was NO sauce! I called and talked to the Mgr. after getting back home and all she could so was HOWFARDOYOULIVE??? Really? You want me to drive back up there and wait in another line to get your mistake?

Came here with a buddy of mine from work got the pork sandwich lunch combo which came with a brownie and a Dr Pepper with steak fries for about $ 13 after tax. The barbecue sauce taste pretty good, meat was tender and And not overcooked, it was a decent lunch, not bad at all really. The service was really good, the waitresses was very pleasant and paid attention to our needs. Will come back if in the mood for barbecue and happen to be nearby.

Supper was excellent. The sampler plate was tasty and plenty to have leftovers for lunch today for us both at only $ 16. She had the chicken wrap and devoured it all. Her comments were how fresh it was and the salsa was nice and tart and spicy. Our guest also enjoyed her brisket plate with smile and a nod!!! You know when they both say that we should come more often that it was a good choice!

Fried catfish, two ribs, sliced brisket, loaded baked potatoe, corn on the cob, jalapeño hush puppies. The best mango margarita in okc! Iove that Steve’s rib don’t have a lot of fat on their bbq. There is a good flavor on the smoked meats. If you get the loaded baked potatoe they top with real bacon. I ended up putting my sliced brisket on top of the loaded baked potatoe. So so so good. The jalapeño hush puppies are fantastic. I love this location its a little more nicer than THE original Steve’s rib on Rockwell. But Same great food!

Only positive I can see is the sauce is very good, which is needed for the institutional quality ribs that must have been cooked in an oven, not smoked as ribs were meant to be. Sorry not impressed, and not a competitor, just a person looking for good ribs.

BESTBBQ in Oklahoma City… by a mile. I always get the chopped brisket and it’s consistently very good and also very lean. I don’t prefer a lot of fat in my brisket, and Steve’s always does this right! Their BBQ sauce is exceptional as well. I don’t disagree with some folks that their sides could use some improvement, but I don’t come here to worry much about the sides. The meat is where it’s at! Their brownie sundae is really good :-) This is a highly recommended stop!

Wow, I can’t believe some of these negative reviews. I kind of suspect Steve has some competitors hiring reviewers. Anyway, on to my review… In the beginning of my culture shock moving from Denver, I stumbled into a rather ghetto Steve’s rib on the Northwest end of OKC because I was stuck over there waiting for a Pakistani college student I found on Craigslist to hack my Cricket phone to work on the OKC network after I got the dumb cow stare from every Cricket store employee in OKC about how to make it work. I didn’t expect the food to be good, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the place I randomly stumbled into out of convenience of location had really good barbecue. Since then I discovered the much nicer location which is closer to my home in Edmond, and we eat there on a fairly regular basis. They always seat us quickly, and the service is usually pretty quick. I almost always order the ribs, because I know they are smoky and tender, and they almost always are. Ribs can be tricky, and even when I go through great lengths to smoke them myself, they are kind of elusive to get JUST right. But this place has a better good to bad ratio than anywhere I’ve been around here. I’ve also had the pulled pork, which is not bad either. My wife ordered those spicy boneless chicken wing things once, and they were SO good, we usually get an order of them. The sides are as expected for me. No complaints. The cobbler… Let me just say. This is not that mushy mélange of pie crust and bland fruit you have had elsewhere. Steve has some kind of magical secret to how he makes the buttermilk component of the cobbler. It is crunchy while being succulent and moist, and tasting incredible, and I am generally not a big fan of buttermilk. This cobbler is a MUST try. You WILL like it.

Not as good as I remembered it. I hadn’t been here in awhile and was in the neighborhood so I thought I’d stop and have some«good» bar b q. I had the two meat dinner with macaroni and cheese and cole slaw. The brisket was very dry and the ribs were small. The sides were actually better than the meat. I had to go to Spencer’s Bar B Q the next day to get some«good» bar b q to wash away the poor experience I had at Steve’s. Overall grade«C-». I won’t stop back in anytime soon.

Ribs are awesome, prices are too high. Potato salad isn’t very good. Go for the ribs!

I came into Steve’s Rib for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. I ordered a 3 meat dinner with Ribs, Chopped Brisket and Pulled Pork. I chose sides of fries, Barbecue Beans and Macaroni and cheese. I drank sweet Tea. To make it short… The ribs were good, tender and flavorful. The Brisket wast good. It was smoky and tender. The Pulled Pork was not good. It was not tender and tasted like Turkey. I will not eat that here again. The fries were a bit soggy this time… not typical here. The beans were good if a little too saucy but I like to use them as a condiment. The Mac and cheese was good. It was creamy cheesy pasta with just enough pepper to keep up with the Barbecue. The sweet tea got a passing grade… not typical at restaurants. All in all I suggest Steve’s Rib as long as you avoid the Pulled Pork.

Damn the brisket is dry! Reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents made me eat roast. Chewed for days on it then asked if I could use the restroom and would spit it in the toilet.

I’m really surprised Steve’s has even three stars. I remember when it wasn’t great, but it passed. Just had a pulled pork sandwich and couldn’t detect a trace of smoke — it was almost like it had been boiled. Potato salad and baked beans also were very generic and didn’t really have much character. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things — I’ll try something different next time.

I hate to do it to you, Steve’s. I do. But here’s my biggest complaint: YOURPRICESARERIDIC. Seriously. A plate of overcooked ribs for $ 18? A salad for $ 13? It’s lettuce at a BBQ place. Lettuce. I mean. The fries are meh. The green beans are canned. The meat is often dry. And yet, when I worked in Edmond, it was worth a swing by because it was affordable. ANDNOW? Sigh. I just won’t spend that kind of dough on such abysmal food. Especially not when there are far better places to go within *spitting distance. *Sorry I mentioned spitting in a food review.

I have this amazing feeling that this place serves decent steaks. Ordered their pulled pork and brisket. The pork was nothing special, I often notice that black weird thing on it. Don’t know what it is, and I don’t have any idea what it is. The place was okay, except that you get smoked when you are here. Not a good place to eat when want to roam to other places after this. Recommended place before going home.

We dine here some on Sundays after church. There is usually never a wait. Some may consider this a bad sign. It works great for us as there are usually 9 of us at a table. The queso appetizer comes with salsa and is a great way to start the meal. I almost always order the Santa Fe salad. It is huge and very filling. My husband rotates what he orders. This last time he tried the new smoked burger and really liked it. The kids are happy here and love the steak fries(I always have to steal a few). My oldest usually gets the kids ribs and loves them. Steve’s isn’t our favorite for BBQ, but is a good choice for an easy meal. There are many menu choices to choose from. I also should mention that the potato skins with brisket and the BBQ ranch dressing are SO good!

This is a convenient place for us, relative to other BBQ places in Edmond. Every time I go, I ask myself why didn’t I drive a little further for something better. Their okra is a must-pass, which is a quintessential BBQ side. Their«smoked» turkey has the aroma but not the flavor you would expect. The ribs are so-so and don’t even bother with the steak.

We have three go to places for BBQ in town and this is one of them. probably hubby’s favorite and my number two. I love the brisket, nice and lean and not dried out. Hubby likes the turkey… real turkey, not that pressed roll that some still try to pawn off on their customers. The onion rings are a favorite of mine and hubby likes the fried okra.(Sorry, this Jersey gal still can’t grasp the fascination with okra not matter how long I live here. :) The ribs are good too and they have a full bar. What more do you need. How about a deal? Daily special during the week are pretty good. Monday nights you can get a BBQ sandwich of your choice, one side and a beverage for $ 5.50. Head on over and try them out… you won’t be sorry.

I was not satisfied with Steve’s Rib. The waiter had to comeback twice, and have me reorder because they either didn’t have or «weren’t serving» what I ordered. That kind pissed me off, but hey I get it… sometimes that junk just happens. I don’t blame the waiter, he was cool about it and apologized a bunch. This isn’t why I gave this place a crap rating, but it certainly didn’t help. Why I didn’t like this place: The food was crap, plain and simple. After reordering a bunch, I had the turkey sandwich. It was soooooooo dry. I mean shockingly dry. To the point that, for the first time in my life, wished there was more mayo. More to the point, my girlfriend’s pulled pork was extremely dry too. Just really bad. Like everything was either left out or cooked to hell. The pros 1) nice staff The cons 1) The food was extremely dry. This is the biggest red flag in bbq for me. 2) The staff had no clue that they were out of two separate meats… odd. Will I give it another try? Maaaaaaaaybe.
