This place is OMG amazing! Great service, delicious, authentic food. It reminds me of LA. We were so excited the second we walked in. They have an amazing variety of meats and sauces, but no ground beef here! My husband and I were so impressed with this place. I can’t believe we didn’t notice it sooner! Thank you again, Unilocal, for helping us find amazing places in our city! I had the #3 combo with a carne asada street taco & quesadilla with rice & beans. My husband had the 3 taco combo with chicken. I will say, my husband was super jealous of my dish, and kept sneaking bites of my quesadilla and taco. He said he should have gotten what I had! Everything we ate was absolutely wonderful. The whole menu is in Spanish, so if you aren’t fluent, they have a picture menu on the wall! I’d also like to add that the counter girl is so helpful, courteous, and sweet that we’d go back just to see her. She deserves a raise or something. I’ve never been so impressed with customer service at a restaurant before. The prices are also very reasonable. If you skip the combo and opt for individual tacos, they come out to a little over a dollar a piece. Amazing!

We’ve eaten here several times — food is inexpensive & close to home so we pick up dinner quite often. Tortillas are great, rice & beans are on the bland side. I don’t care for the taste of the spices used in their meat. Other than that– ok for quick pick up when you don’t feel like cooking.

I have been here twice already, and it has pretty good authentic Mexican food for a very low price. Don’t expect much for the atmosphere since it is nothing special or fancy. Also, it will be super busy during lunch time but the rest of the hours are pretty empty! I would highly recommend this place if you are searching for great authentic Mexican food!

Pretty ho hum. Quesadilla without cheese? Definitely NOT4 stars! Menu on the wall. Plastic chairs/tables. Utilitarian. I don’t know where they got the pictures that were supposed to represent the various items on the menu, but our meals were not well represented. To be fair: Meal was ok. But we do not plan to return.

Best Mexican food I’ve had since California. We always get the carne burritos with everything. I dont know how much they are now but it was $ 4 – 5 last time we picked them up amd they are stuffed well eith meat. The green and red sauce is always fresh and required. Wife and I dont frequent Edmond as much anymore but when we do, we’ll buy 5 or 6 burritos to tide us over a weekend. The everything carne nachos are very good as well. Very affordable, juge potions amd fast service.

Fantastic street tacos. We have tried many taco trucks, restaurants and stands around Oklahoma City, and this one is definitely in the top three. We went with carne asada and pastor tacos. For my daughter the hot sauce was a bit spicy, so it was perfect to just have them with the onion and cilantro. We will definitely be back, I highly recommend this place!

Everything here is out of this world! My favorite tacos anywhere! The tortas are to die for! The red and green chili sauces are so addictive! I love the small place feel to it too! Very relaxed!

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! First off, they have pictures for everything, so even if you don’t speak Spanish, you can still order. I ordered a Gordita taco plate, and kept wondering how they get the meat to taste so good. The portion sizes were great, but these are legitimate tacos, only about 4 inches in diameter. That being said, they are the best carnitas I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back to this place.

This is amazing Mexican fast food! My favorite small place in Edmond to go. There is nothing fancy about the location but the food is fantastic! I wish I could review more than the pork gorditas, but every time I go I can’t pass them up! Definitely worth a visit!

Loved it! Stopped into this unassuming storefront restaurant and was delighted with the fast service and delicious tacos. my friend had the carne asada and said it, too, was yummy. Can’t wait to go back.

I am on a job assignment for the next 2 months in Edmond and will be returning to make monthly visits there after and found Carnitas Michoacan by accident while driving past it. I have attempted to try this place several times in the past few weeks but it gets busy at lunch time, so I put it off until yesterday. It was semi busy when I got there at 1 pm, but after trying their food I wondered why there were not lines of people lining out the door waiting to get in to this place. The food was AMAZING! I ordered the Birria de Res and the flavors were incredible. The dish came with rice & refried beans, a side dish of chopped onion w/cilantro and a tinfoil wrap of hot, fresh homemade corn tortillas, which I used to add the tender stew beef and dip in to the delicous guajillo chile broth of the Birria. The rice & beans were just as good. The prices were inexpensive and the service was fast and friendly. The dining area was large and clean. The menu has a good variety of lots of dishes that I look forward to trying and if they are as good as the Birria, I plan to make this gem my away-from-home go-to place for authentic Mexican food for many more times to come.

Very authentic NONAMERICANIZED Mexican food. If you want endless chips and salsa and fountain drinks… go to El Chico. If you want a real taste of down home Mexican cooking, go here.

HELLYEAH! Finally real mexican food. I felt at home when i walked in, was the only white girl in the house, and there was Valentina on the table. The carne asada tacos are legit and street taco style. Horchata was a little watered down, but i’ll take it. I’ll be back for sure!

Very good food! The wet burrito was great and so were the tacos! Only bad thing is they don’t serve chips, cheese, and salsa. And it doesn’t feel like there is an air conditioner. If there is it is on very low. The people were very friendly and the atmosphere was good.

First time eating here and its a nice little hole in the wall. The food is served quick and the employees are friendly. Pros: Food is Served hot and ready very quickly. The taste of the food is good as well. It reminded me from back when I lived in California and would visit Mexico and eat at the taco stands. Cons: they do not serve a basket of chips or chunky salsa. The air conditioning was not working while I was dining in as well. Overall it’s a great little spot to have some good food!

Great little Mexican place. It’s a hole in the wall where nothing is over $ 8. The food authentic street food, not the typical Oklahoma tex mex. If you want something cheap fast and good this is the place

Meh. Bland, expensive for what you get, and just overal lackluster. Not impressed. There are plenty of better local authentic Mexican places around to try. Go to those.

While I’m not going to say it’s the best authentic Mexican I’ve had, it’s the ONLY authentic Mexican food you can get in Edmond, America without having to drive to the Southwest side of OKC! Best/only option for carne asada tacos and taquitos around!

Being from California, we find it difficult sometimes to find GOOD Authentic Mexican Food in or around Edmond. This place beats the«Tex-Mex» style restaurants in Edmond any day.

I was craving some tacos/burritos and this place has good reviews. What I should’ve noticed was that none of those reviews are recent. Walking in, I was the only customer. I cheerfully said hello to an employee watching TV. She glared at me, didn’t say a single word, and went back to watching her show. Okaaay. A minute later she walked over to the cash register and just stared at me. I assumed she was waiting to take my order. She can speak English because she finally spoke up and asked me some questions about my order. The food was not good. I ate half of my meal and couldn’t even stomach the rest. The beef tasted old and chewy. There were hard chunks in the refried beans and they tasted/looked like they just came from the microwave. The rice was so dry. The horchata was watered down and tasteless. I usually try not to waste food but I couldn’t force myself to finish this particular meal. I found myself wishing I had gone to Taco Bell instead. At least I would’ve gotten good food and paid a lot less. Between the terrible attitude coming from the cashier and the below average food, I don’t see myself returning. With many great Mexican restaurants located throughout the metro, why settle?
