Was excited to find that there’s a Taiwanese eatery in the area so I stopped by for lunch. The eateries didn’t look clean and Kan Man’s seafood stand stunk so much that I couldn’t stomach eating anything there. Went somewhere else instead.

Hidden little gem. Amazing Taiwanese food for such a good price. It’s located in Kan Man and not open on Mondays. If I lived in Edison, I would be visiting this frequently. Whenever my fiancé and I are around we always make an effort to stop in to grab some food. I love their popcorn chicken, rice dishes and chow mein. Their bubble tea is a steal! So cheap compared to fusion ti. It’s more authentic traditional black milk tea.

This is little section located inside the Kam Man supermarket selling typical Taiwanese dishes including: Beef Noodle Soup Pork and Mushroom Rice Noodles(Xiang Gu Rou Geng Mi Fen Tang) Braised Minced Pork over Rice(Lu Rou Fan) Pork chop over rice Chicken leg over rice Pig Intestines Bubble tea Hot Grass Jelly The food is delicious and well made. The dishes come with a braised egg as well. What really surprised me was how good their bubble tea was. When I saw them make it, the person just poured milk and tapioca pearls in a cup, filled the rest with black tea, and added ice. It tasted amazingly better than some places in major bubble tea chains. I always go for the Hot Grass Jelly though. You can add toppings such as red beans, peanuts, mung beans, tapioca pearls, etc. My favorite thing to get here. Great place to come when I’m craving Taiwanese food.

I am surprised no one has written a review for Little Taipei! First! This is my go to spot whenever I cannot think of anything to eat when I’m in the NB/Edison area. Little Taipei is my one stop shop for ANYTHING Taiwanese, including bubble tea! I personally cannot name much of the dishes available, but I can tell you that they are all fairly priced and you actually get a more than what you pay for! I usually go with pork chops and a bubble tea and it that is my ideal meal here AND in Taiwan. I do recommend that you get there a little early on the weekends. They tend to sell out of bubble tea by 4 or 5 o’clock! Bottom Line: The way they make the milk tea may throw you off at first since they just add half and half to red tea, but let me tell you, it’s actually pretty good. I guess the tea they use is well made! Bad things? They are not open on Mondays. I learned this the hard way when I was craving my pork chop + rice for lunch and found out when I walked in… boo =(. Cash only!!!
