For my mom’s birthday this year, she requested Happy Edison Noodle. We obliged and proceeded to drive two hours in rush hour traffic on a Friday to get there. And even if it wasn’t my mom’s birthday, it still would have been worth the drive. Happy Edison serves some of the most authentic Taiwanese food I’ve ever had. We ordered two oyster omlettes, popcorn chicken, beef noodle soup, a porkchop platter, and pig ear. The oyster omlette was absolutely outstanding. It’s hard to get the texture right: gooey but crispy on the edges, but they nailed it. The popcorn chicken was really good too! Small nuggets of chicken that packed in the flavor. I would highly recommend checking this place out! The food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and it’s also incredibly reasonably priced!

A satisfying Taiwanese restarant. Quality noodle and rice dishes. Great salt and pepper chicken nugget… must order if you visit. The only thing that is disappointing is the steamed pork dumpling(xiao long bao). It is probably a dumb idea for us to order it here since it is not really their specialty. We order quite a lot of food but there are still so many items on the menu that we want to try so we will definitely be returning. Another good thing about this place is that it is not as crazy crowded as Shanghai Dumpling House on Rt 27 on the weekends. They are not exactly the same thing but this place is a great option if you don’t the stress of waiting for a table and eating at a crowded place.

This place was ok. It is not run by a Taiwanese person… but the flavors are pretty close. The minced pork rice was kind of flavorless. The beef scallion pancake wrap was decent. Although, their preserved cabbage is delicious. It goes well with everything.

Heard good things about this place so my girlfriend and I went to try it out. We ordered minced pork over rice, beef noodle soup, and oyster pancake. The minced pork over rice has great flavor and comes pretty close to the ones I’ve had in Taiwan and China. The oyster pancake was very average but not unbearable. The thing that bugged me the most was the beef noodle soup. Their beef and noodles are both decent, but the soup pretty much ruined my experience. The soup base tasted like boiled water with a little bit of soy sauce added. It tastes nothing like beef broth, which is essential for Taiwanese beef noodle soup. I advise anyone who comes not to order the beef noodle soup. It is funny to me how the place is called happy beef noodle soup in Chinese but they can’t make a solid beef noodle soup.

This place is simply amazing. Went here for the first time after my husband said he had a craving for noodles. From beginning to end toe experience was amazing. Now if you are a décor person this place is not for you. They are all about the food and not about ambience. They have tables chairs and pics of the food on the wall. It’s clean and has a bathroom that’s about it. We ordered scallion pancakes, steamed pork buns and beef noodle soup. Nothing disappointed. Absolutely delicious and ridiculously cheap!!! 2 people for under 30… what!!! I was going to take away a star for décor but kept it because the food and price is amazing!!!

Like going to a Taiwanese aunt’s house for dinner. It’s not as great Grandma’s or you’re own Mama’s but it hits the spot. The owner lady is super nice. Come support this family run business. My oyster pancake had great flavor. Food is clean tasting and not greasy.

They changed their Unilocal page from this old one( ), so I’m updating my review on their new page. I’ve come here multiple times and they have added more and more Taiwanese dishes to their menu. Previously, they didn’t have a lot of the street food like Stinky Tofu and Oyster omelette, but now they do. Over the course of many trips here’s what we ordered in order of recommendation: Fried Salt and Pepper Chicken Nuggets(鹽酥雞) Taiwanese Oyster Omelette(蚵仔煎) Beef rolled in Scallion Pancake — A bit cold when it was brought out but enjoyed the scallions they rolled with the beef. Kind of hard to mess up though. Brown Meat Sauce Noodle(肉燥乾麵) –nNoodles were sitting in soup, so the texture was much more QQ. The rouzao isn’t as aromatic as I like it but overall good dish. Comes with bean sprouts, an egg, a fishball, and one large tofu. Thought the single fish ball was pretty random. Pig intestines — Good taste. One of my favorites for that meal. Minced Pork On Rice(香菇滷肉飯) — Better than the one at Red Onion Stewed Pork over Rice(控肉飯) Pork Roll(雞卷) Braised Beef tendon(cold) — Little bit hard to chew, good flavor Fried Bun(炸銀絲卷) — I didn’t like the sweet sauce they poured over this. Beef Noodles Soup — Average. Doesn’t have the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup flavor and the beef was a bit tough. Noodles were too soft. They gave you a big bowl of pickled mustard(酸菜) though to go with it. Friendly service. Atmosphere looks like a Chinese takeout place, but the food is so much better.

YESSS! One of the most authentic Taiwanese places I’ve been to. It is hard to find places that make food taste this close to the real thing in Taiwan. There is a place called Jean and Lee’s near my school in Boston, and I thought it was the closest thing that I’d find in the states… but I’m wrong. This is the closest thing I’ve found to authentic Taiwanese food! My mom brought her friends with us to eat, and we basically got everything… Here are my top three recommendations: Veggie dumplings Pig Ears Shredded Pork Noodle It is super cheap to eat here too! My mom also got extra orders to go so that we can pack it for lunch the next day… and ITSTILLTASTESEQUALLYGOOD! The taste didn’t change. Was called«Noodle House» on Unilocal previously. Look that up for pics!
