Sorry this is late, but I was writing another massage review and decided I needed to include my experience with Bavia, especially since I don’t see any other reviews.
I had my second baby at Abbott Northwest Hospital back in March ’11 where these services were being offered (I think they’re at all the major Metro hospitals). My husband was sweet enough to buy me a post natal massage. Seriously guys, this is the BEST push present you can buy for your partners! The experience was totally unexpected. I mean… I just had a baby in the hospital. I certainly didn’t expect something so lavish. The masseuse came and set up the room as if I were in a spa and… ommmmm… it was the best massage, if even for the reason that I was sore, exhausted, and all the other physical and emotional effects of just giving birth. Afterward, I also received some lip balm which is the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could order more! My masseuse was professional, compassionate, and very knowledgeable about what I just went through. Her massage was different as you wouldn’t expect the same one you’d get if you were walking in with soreness from some other activity. Post natal massage requires a special touch.
This service made me feel like I deserved it after all I had just gone through. I think that is a great testament to their service. I hope this service explodes in business. Moms need to feel special and pampered after giving birth. For fear of TMI, I was better able to let down to feed my baby afterward because I was so relaxed.
