Quaint little Thai place in a great location. Food was on point. I had the pad see muao with vegetarian duck from the lunch menu and tom kha soup. Service was great. Music was at a reasonable volume. Portion sizes were a little inconsistent though. Both of us had the same dish, one with veg duck and one with shrimp, but the shrimp one had half as much food on the plate when it came out.

Every Time i come here, it never failed to fill up my hungry tunny. Clean and decent and nicely decorated. Parking can be a pain though. But other than that, everything is perfect.

This is one of the best Thai food in the area. It’s taste close to what I had in thailand. I ordered my food to make it extra spicy! :). My recommend dish is Tomyum noodle soup with shrimp. Soup is great Hot, sour, spicy and goes down smoothly. It is great for winter.

I loved this restaurant! I went there for lunch today and the Pad Thai is amazing; I’d even say the best Pad Thai I ever had. The waitresses are very sweet and accommodating; they kept my water glass full and kept checking on the table. Plus you can’t go wrong with a place that plays The Strokes! I also love that there is plenty of free street parking.

I’m giving 3 stars for the food because it’s just OK. I would give four stars for the ambiance because it is cute and candlelit and also provides a BYOB option which is great. I ordered red curry with chicken and it was mediocre. I also got a Tom yum soup which was not that good. My boyfriend got some sort of spicy noodles which he was really happy with. The roti he got for an appetizer however was underwhelming. Overall: this place is ok for a low key dinner in the hood but definitely not the best tasting thai food you’ll ever have. Wins are: candle lit, cozy, BYOB, nice servers.

If you guys are looking for some good Thai food, This is the place to go. The service was GREAT. I came at a busy time and there was a wait for the tables. But it was worth the wait and they were still very attentive. If you want to avoid waits though, come on a weekday. The food is just as good as the service too. I ordered the pad kee maow with chicken and usually at other places it’s too salty. But it was just right here. The appetizers and desserts were good too. I’m excited to try some new things. This is going to be my new spot for Thai food from now on.

I am giving one star not because of the(mediocre) food, but because after 1⁄3 of the way through my meal, I saw what was a baby cockroach on the wall next to my boyfriend’s head. I quietly pointed it out to the waitress(so as not to alarm the other customers). I saw her point it out to the owner/manager, but they decided to do nothing. No thank you, no apologies, no moving us to another area, nothing. Having lost our appetite, but mostly because the cockroach was creeping its way to right next to me, we paid and promptly left. I’m not sure what was more disturbing — the fact that there was a cockroach or their inaction after I alerted them(like it was no big deal). This was my first time here. I am not going back.

Pa De is one of the few good restaurants surrounding Cliffside Park. Decently sized place with great service. The waitress gave us great recommendations and answered all of our annoying questions without getting impatient. Sitting by the window is nice especially if it’s raining or if you see the self walking German Shepard. Highly recommend you bring a bottle or two of wine because it’s a nice place to relax and drink. I ordered the whole red snapper which was excellent with a side a brown rice. Try it before they take it off their special menu! I also recommend heading to the cave next door for dessert after a delicious Thai dinner. Went to this place a couple of times, it’s pretty great. Just don’t expect amazing service during a dinner rush…

This is one of the better Thai places in NJ. The ambiance is good and we’ve also used them for parties and even for catering. Their roti canai appetizer is very good. Best dishes are the pad kee Mao. The pork chips are always good as well. Can’t go wrong with the roasted chicken but they don’t have that anymore which really bums me out. Then why did I dock 1 star? I don’t give 5 stars unless I’m like amazed. Its hard to do that with Thai food.

Just move in to edgewater. Try Pa De last night. Food and Service were great The portion of food compare with price is very generous. The restaurant was packed, but we didn’t wait long for the food. The servers are friendly. I am vegetarian so i ordered steamed vegetables dumpling and vegetables pad woon sen. I enjoyed them very much. My husband ordered Fried Calamari and Whole Red Snapper basil sauce. He said its very good. So Pa De is our favorite dinner spot in my new home town.

The food is awesome. Large variety and all well made at an affordable price. Dinner for 2 can run you $ 50 which is a nice deal in my opinion. Healthy(er) alternative to take out Chinese restaurants. The bad: Service never seems to uphold itself to the level of service one would expect. Basically something always goes wrong. The problem is they aren’t sure whether they are a takeout/delivery joint or a full fledged restaurant. Thus they are short staffed and the staff they have aren’t equipped to handle the demands of the customers. This leads to slow service, missing orders, etc. Advice: Superb option for takeout/delivery when you want to fill up with quality food for a decent price.

I would have given Pa De 2 stars but I’ll be considerate and give them 3 stars for the food. For appetizers, my friend and I shared the classic chicken curry and roti. I didn’t enjoy it as much because the curry was a bit too sweet and it didn’t have any of that spicy curry kick to it. However, I did like the roti which was very chewy yet flaky. For our main meal my friend ordered the Green Curry with chicken and a Thai Iced Tea to go with it. The Thai Iced Tea was delicious! I ordered the Pad Kee Maow with chicken but with rice noodles instead of the traditional broad rice noodles. I prefer skinny noodles over the flat broad noodles so I was happy that they were able to accommodate to my request. When my order arrived, I realized that they forgot to add the chicken in my Pad Kee Maow. Well… The reason I am giving Pa De 3 stars is not because my dish was missing chicken, which I understand can be a common mistake at any restaurant, but mainly because of the way my waitress handled the situation. I’m not sure if she was just a waitress, manager or owner but when I brought this to her attention, she stared into the dish, with an expression that implied that I may have picked and ate all of the chicken before making my complaint. #rude. I mean, come on! The first thing she could have at least said was, «sorry» or something along those lines, right? Anyway, I politely asked her to deduct the price of the chicken off my bill but that was apparently not an option. According to the lady, there was just noooo way of going into the register and adjusting the price of my meal.(I’m being sarcastic, if you couldn’t catch my drift) I’m 99% sure that you are able to do that. Whatever, I’m not going to have a fit over a couple bucks but loosen up the attitude, lady. In the end, she tried to take my dish back to the kitchen to add the chicken but I didn’t want my friend to wait so I just asked her for steamed shrimp on the side instead of chicken. Overall, the food was okay but the waitress/manager/owner could have been a lot more pleasant. After all… They were the ones who made a mistake with my order. Tip: Ask for their chilli hot sauce and peanut sauce on the side. Definitely adds a nice flavor when mixed in with you noodles or fried rice.

This place looks very inviting because of its outdoor patio and decorative string lights and admittedly, it’s why I decided to try it out. However, that’s all that’s really special about this restaurant. Décor aside, the service in this restaurant is slow. Incredibly slow. We waited more than 40 minutes for 2 noodle dishes while the restaurant was only at half capacity. Not only that, but our particular server was extremely unattentive, borderline non-existent. She was rude and completely indifferent to anything that we asked for, especially when the outdoor patio light was inexplicably turned on, and shined right in my face. When I asked our server if she could turn it back off, she didn’t even acknowledge my request and just walked away disinterested. Things got so bad that we had to call the manager over to complain about the incredibly slow service and lack of attention.(I never call over the manager. This is usually a last resort for me.) The only saving grace of this review was that the management was very nice and understanding. He apologized and took our appetizer off the bill. That’s how a manager should address a situation like that, so kudos to him. Service aside, the food was just average. Nothing to really write about, that’s why most of this review was about the experience. Normally when I look at a restaurant review, I ignore ones about service because it’s usually forgivable if the food makes up for it. But even if this food did make up for the terrible service, it leaves such a bad taste in your mouth that no pad thai or plum sauce could mask it. There are other Thai places in the area. Unless you want to roll the dice on some really bad service, I’d go elsewhere.

I’ve been going there since it opened up. They serve one of the best Thai Iced Teas ever, also the lychee lemonade is delicious. The food is always good! And it always comes out quickly. The managers are always attentive and help with service. The pricing is awesome and they have great lunch specials! Try the massaman curry(my fave) and the pad thai is always yummy here! Also the roti appetizer is soo good! And the fried ice cream for dessert! Small restaurant with a cute outdoor space.

Really delicious Thai food it’s a must try. Food has a lot of flavor I got the the thai duck salad which was made perfect. It was the best thai dick salad I’ve ever had. Pineapple fried rice was very good. Only thing I didn’t like was their vegetable dumpling. I will definitely be going back to this place.

I’ve visited this location about 5 times since end of 2014. Overall this is a nice little spot to grab some Thai bites and take advantage of their outside seating! N The service is good and the food is tasty. I had the chicken & peanut sauce dish for my main course and chicken satay to start. The chicken satay was good just not as filling as I expected. The main dish was A+ I will be back for lunch.

I love everything about Thai food. From the variations in flavor to the spice levels that can make me tear. This leads to both nervousness and excitement when I try a new Thai place. Pa De did not excite me… It basically served its purpose to fulfill a spot for dinner and a girls night. It’s a cute spot, dimmed light, nice ambience overall. Staff is extremely friendly. They helped us try different things and patiently waited till the late comer of the party(me) settled in. The apps were pretty good. I know we got the naan with chicken stew… Sorry I can’t remember the name but it was amazing. The chicken tasted a little gamey but the sauce was awesome. For dinner we got a few different dishes from the pad Thai to chili basil and everything was okay… Nothing bad nothing great. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here…
