So being of Italian decent and my wife Angela having traveled Italy I must say this is about as close to the real thing you can get. It was fast and if there was 10 stars I would give it.

Love this place. Pizzas are awesome, thin and crispy. Try the garlic bread, you will be pleasantly surprised. 4 star because they only accept cash.

Best pizza I’ve ever had, hands down, bar none. I got the white pizza with sausage. My friend got traditional tomato & cheese with pepperoni and anchovy. We went for lunch and were able to get the 10″ personal size. It’s cut in 4 generous slices. The reason why I am not giving them 5 stars is the lackluster garden salad we shared as an appetizer. Otherwise, highly recommend this pizzeria!

I love that you can create your own pizza here; I’ve been to many, many Italian restaurants and high end pizzerias and it’s rare to see that option. I had the Salami, garlic pizza and antipasto salad and both were delicious. Prices are moderate and service is good. Loses a star because it’s cash only.

Pretty good over all. I do not recommend the chicken tenders, horrible taste. FRIEDMOZZARELLA, yes please!

This is my family’s go to place. The pizza is delicious. Fresh mozzarella, fresh homemade sauce, need i say more? The only thing I wouldn’t get is the pasta because they’re real simple but A+ for everything else.

Service is great. One of the best mozzarella«sticks» I’ve had. Pizza is decent though. It looks really nice and all but the cheese and sauce lack some taste. Oh and they’re very cheap with the toppings. Ordered Pepperoni and each slice had about 2 pepperoni pieces. Come on now.

Tucked in the shopping center between starbucks and mcdonalds is a piece of history, they say. This pizza restaurant comes from the Patsy’s blood line offering 2 types of pies 1. Margharita and 2. White pie. You will find other italian goodies on the menu but people come here for the pizza. The pizza was good but I have never been a true fan of the likes of Grimaldi, Patsy’s and Lombardi’s. I think that maybe it’s because I just enjoy an old fashion slice of pizza, you know, the kind with salty cheese and flavorful tomato sauce, but when in Rome. I’ve had a my share of pizza in NJ and there has been 1 or 2 places that can fill the void when I am craving pizza and this place is certainly on the list. Next time I am in the hood and I have a craving for pizza Bklyn’s coal will fill that void. I just have to remember to have cash and expect a wait to sit.

Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes pizza with crispy thin crust was the best I had in years. Eggplant Parmigiana was also deliciously baked. Next time I am in town I plan to visit again.

Finally!!! A NJ pizza that is comparable to NY standards! Growing up in Brooklyn, I’ve become extremely accustomed to delicious bagels and perfect pizza. But finding the same in NJ is almost impossible. Let’s discuss: The sauce: great 3.5 The crust: delicious 4.5 The white slice: my wife loves it 5 Calamari: crispy and delicious with an amazing marinara sauce 5 Italian restaurant feeling: 5 All cash: 0 Service: 5 So the next time you’re around Edgewater and want a slice of pizza, don’t settle for just a regular slice when you can get this magnificent pizza!

The food is average, I will not recommend this place to my foodie friends. I have lived in Brooklyn for five years and I can say it’s not a Brooklyn pizza.

Amazing pizza so fresh and flavorful worth the money. I did have the fried ravioli for the first time but wasn’t impressed it definitely wasn’t fresh it tasted frozen and was extremely hard to chew also the sauce that came with it had no flavor whatsoever I had to add lots of salt and that still didn’t do it for me. But the pizza is Delicious great job guys and the staff is really friendly providing great service.

Pizza here is very good. It’s not as good as the standout brick oven pizzas in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but it’s definitely a notch above most pizza in NJ. They have take out(paper bags instead of customary pizza boxes), but no delivery. BYOB is a plus.

In NYC, pizza is a religion. Living in Brooklyn I was highly spoiled. Moving to NJ, I was very … underwhelmed with the options. Yes, I am pizza snob and I’m okay with that. I was a bit appalled that it’s called Brooklyn’s Pizzeria… kind of like I’m appalled that parents named their children Brooklyn. I stared at the sign with distain. But then one cold rainy night my pizza craving was hard core and after a bit of research, I learned it comes from the same family as Grimaldi’s which is legit NYC pizza. So I finally caved in and tried it. We got take out and it was very delicious. Better than I expected for NJ pizza. The crust is thicker than I’d like it to be but I did find myself eating all of my crust and my Husband’s crust. The Husband did not really enjoy the crust. The fried ravioli, even as take out and eating it 15 — 30 minutes from it being cooked, was DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend. I will most definitely order from here again. Is it the best pizza I’ve ever had? Sorry, no, that’s reserved for some special places in Brooklyn, Manhattan, etc. But is it the best in the area? YES.

Not my favorite pizza place but I have to give it to them. Real brick oven pizza! Pizza is crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Whatever toppings you like go well with the pizza. I’m a big fan of their fried ravioli. The sauce could could have a bit more flavor in it. I’ll definitely be going here when I’m in the area. PLACEISCASHONLYANDNODELIVERY!!!

Best pizza in Edgewater. I ordered the large 18″ pie with black olives for two because we were hungry. We even had starter salads of our own each. The starter salad is meant for two people, but we still managed to get our own. Each comes with two breadsticks, cucumbers, tomatoes, romaine, whole black olives, and marinated mushrooms plus your choices of dressing. Plus we had an order of fried cheese ravioli half and half(half regular and half jalapeño cheese). The fried cheese was cooked just right on the inside with the pasta firm. The accompanying dipping sauce was great. The pizza comes in three sizes and we opted to get a large pie. When it comes out, there’s cheese all over and tomato sauce generously splashed around. The sliced black olives was just the right topping to get without going overboard for anyone wanting a lighter slice. The sauce was on a the sweeter side and it tasted excellent. Every other slice had a large cheese bubble over the crust. What a sight. The crust was just so good. Crispy on the outside and chewy in the center. Perfect combination. For all the food we got, we didn’t manage to get any dessert but the spumoni and tartufo looked really delectable. I will definitely get one or both the next visit. Seating is spacious inside the restaurant. Free parking is available outside. Note that it’s cash only, so plan ahead for about $ 20 per person for a comfortable order of an appetizer, drink and to share some of the pizza pie with generous toppings. The restaurant is also BYOB with no corkage fee. Free refills on fountain sodas.

3.75 stars. I drove about 10 miles to visit BCBBOP based on Unilocal reviews. I’ve had the famous Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn, and this place is related. You can’t go wrong, right? Well, kinda. The pizza is indeed very good. But it’s not Brooklyn, drive way out of your way good. If you’re local this could be your go-to pizza for sure. Quality toppings. Nice crust. Simply good pizza. Service is a little off at this location. I can’t put my finger on it. Just a little off. Lots of parking in the big lot.

I’ve been coming to this place for over a decade and I don’t even like pizza. Apparently, they are related to the famed Patsy’s and Grimaldi’s Pizzerias in NYC. When I crave pizza, I almost always come here when I am in NJ. We went there this past weekend and ordered 2 large pies. Large pies start at $ 16 but each topping is $ 2. My pie had the spicy italian sausage and mushrooms($ 20). The other pie had ham and pineapple.(BOW-RANG!). As expected, the ham and pineapple pizza was not good at all. My old favorite(sausage and mushroom) did not disappoint though. Thin, chewy crust, melted house made mozzarella cheese, and sauce that was flavorful and not too acidic. The two pies were like night and day in terms of taste. I cannot knock the restaurant for the bad tasting ham and pineapple pie as that was what I was forced to order by my companion who has now admitted that he was dead wrong for ordering that. However, I only gave the place 4 stars instead of 5 is because they do not offer free refills. Soda is so cheap for the establishment(I know as my parents have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years) that at the very least, it should be free refills. TIP: Be sure to ask for their fine ground garlic powder to sprinkle on top of your pizza when it arrives. But be sure not to inhale as you’re about to eat it because you will get an airway full of fine ground garlic powder which feels like a choking hazard. happened to me twice in one sitting and once to my mom. It’s a dangerous thing… but totally worth it. CASHONLY. With soda, tax and tip, we were looking at a $ 55 pizza lunch which is kinda of cray. Next time, I’ll leave my mom and kid at home which should bring the price down. :P

Located in a strip mall next to Target, McDonalds, and Starbucks. This is a specialty pizza place that makes coal brick oven pizza. The prices are bit high at $ 16.25 for a large 18″ plain pie. The size of the pie is quite large, so that does make up for some of the premium you have to pay. The taste of the pizza is really good. The sauce always has a fresh and clean taste to it. The fresh mozzarella also adds a nice flavor to the pizza. I don’t usually dine in, but I have on occasion. The service is OK, but the dining area is somewhat cramped. For take out, which is what I usually get, it takes about 20 minutes or so. For both dine in and takeout its cash only.
