Anthropologie

I really do like artsy vibe of this place. Set up quite beautifully. Pretty much the stuff sold here reminds of maybe hippies, gypsies, artsy peepz, nomadic clothing lol, organic soaps.
I do love the soaps here, and the look of this place.
Customer service is great here.
Everyone came off as kind and friendly.
I do find the store to pretty overpriced.
Thats why I only gave it 3 stars.

I hardly ever write reviews on retail stores but I am compelled to write one for Anthropologie. I frequent this store atleast once a month and I have to say, the service is AMAZING. I’ve been to other Anthro stores and the stores are messy and they are not nearly as nice as the sales people at the Edgewater store. (More specifically Garden State and Hoboken) They aren’t pushy and always wanting to genuinely help. They make sure they look for your size, and if they don’t have it at the store, they order it for you and shipping is a breeze. From the minute I walk into this store, I am greeted with a smile and every time I pick up an item, my dressing room is arranged for me. They frequenly check up to see if I need a different size. I also love how they store all your purchases under your account so I never have to hold on to a gazillion receipts.
If I were to ever open up a retail store, I would send my employees to Anthro for training. They are the best of the best. I tell my husband that going to Anthropologie is not just retail therapy but seriously a fun and amazing experience EVERY single time. Not to mention, their pieces are unique, fun and great quality. The only downside is that their prices can be pretty steep. But the service really makes up for it. I don’t mind spending a little more to come out feeling like I do. Keep it up Anthro, you guys are great!

So this store is my downfall!!! I beyond love it!!! The clothes are original styles, not just the same old things. I love the sweaters, jeans, dresses, tops… I think you get it. Yes prices are on the high side, but items are well made and unique. They do mark things down rather quickly. Always something new coming in. Sales help is amazing! So helpful and accommodating. Associate in fitting room will help with sizes and advice, even can order an item from the mobile device right in the fitting room. I can’t say enough great things about this store!!! Forget the malls, this local store has beautiful items.

One thing I love about this particular store is that it’s never that crowded.
I’m sure the other reviewer had her reasons to be unhappy– as would be the case for any of us when a sales associate, who’s supposed to tender attentive care to their patrons, seems useless. But, perhaps management has changed or someone took their review under serious consideration, since the staff seem to be much friendlier and aware of their customers’ needs.
Strange but true: haven’t felt so much love for a dressing room before (at least in any other Anthropologie store). Feels like a cozy candlelit evening in there!

Okay, I love Anthropologie. I have no qualms about admitting I spent $ 138 on a simple sweater not because I’m showy but because the garments have outstanding quality. I have dresses and other pieces that are well over ten years old and still look new.
That being said, I would obviously shop at any location. I used to go in Manhattan, Short Hills, Montclair and the Plaza. But…
The staff at the Edgewater has helped me so much recently I had to write a review. I see a review here that says otherwise but those associates must have left or I haven’t encountered them yet. I usually shop here in the evening.
In my experience the ladies (and sometimes gentleman) have helped me with picking gifts, accessorizing (without being pushy) and helping me find my size at another location. This location also has a huge housewares /​gift section which is fun. A few times associated suggested clothes that were only available online, and showed me on the screen. To me, that’s service.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a store with such rude sales associates. Ever. Instead of offering help they hang around and gossip. What an uncomfortable store to be in.
