I prefer shopping at a local business. More so, then supporting the big bucks doors. In particular, I absolutely love the hardware store. They always have varieties of 1 looking for. All of their employees are always very super helpful and friendly. The prices are great. They have a value rewards program when I receive coupons and discounts frequently. It’s late out in a way that make sense to me :-) and, you can also rent power equipment that you may need. For example, 1 time I needed to break up some concrete. I was able to read it but when I needed in return of the same day there really fast efficient way. I know going to my local big box hardware store would not have been the same. Period all in all, this is a fantastic local community hardware store.

I’m really, REALLY torn about my review of this place. The positives: — Very friendly staff. — Staff that knows a lot about a lot of different things. — Excellent variety of items in-stock — You can rent tools there for reasonable prices for one-off projects — They fix things when they break The negatives: — Follow up is a bit lacking So, back at the end of July, I dropped my primary lawnmower(I have a spare, but this is in far better condition) off because it refused to stay running. I am not a mechanic. I do not pretend to be a mechanic. I do not even pretend to begin to understand how engines work. Not my area of expertise. After searching and reading reviews on a number of places, I brought my lawnmower here(again: «end of July»…keep that in mind) to be looked at and fixed. $ 10 diagnostic fee that’ll be applied to whatever bill to fix it? Totally reasonable. Give them a few days to look at it and then they’ll call me? Totally reasonable. Call me the very next day and tell me what’s wrong with it, what it’s going to cost to fix it, and that it’ll only take a few days to be done? Perfect, thank you. Call me three days later and say«Hey, I have this ticket here… and there’s no note on whether or not anyone called you about fixing it…» …and okay, everyone has issues, no problem, yep, go ahead and fix it. Besides, I have the spare mower. No biggie. Call me again after another few days go by… and…we have… the exact… same…conversation? Now I’m getting annoyed. But I have other things going on in my life, and I still have that spare mower… and so when I suddenly realize«Hey…it’s SEPTEMBER… and I still don’t have my mower back…» …yeah, now I’m kinda torqued off. So I call, ask about my mower…“Oh yeah… it’s done. There’s a note on here that we called and there was no answer…” …and voice mail is beyond your capabilities? You don’t think«Hey, we’ve had this guy’s mower here for like six weeks… maybe we should call him?» Meh. So that part was seriously annoying… but I went down, picked it up, and it runs like a champ again. So like I said — everything was great… except that follow up and follow through. Maybe if I go there again I won’t have the same problem. We’ll see.

Customer service is tied for #1 here, with their great selection. The staff is very knowledgeable, about everything they sell. I’ve gotten glass windows & screens for my home fixed. They make keys. The Carhartt selection is amazing! They have a rental department, Oh, they also have a rewards program & send coupons consistently!

Helpful and knowledgable everytime I come in for something. They have everything I need including tool rental. Mr. DeRonne and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. Home Depot and Lowes are closer, but I always go to DeRonne because I get service like I am family.

Great service, great selection and fair prices. They offer just the right amount of service. Some of the other local ma and pop hardware stores feel the need to follow you around the store and exert their«service» upon you, even when not requested. This place has plenty of expert staffers on hand that are there when you need them. They even offer tool rental and screen and window repair.

You might pay a little extra for certain things here, so if you are pinching pennies then beware. But guaranteed this store has some of the most helpful, customer service oriented employees of any store on the East side. The local big box hardware stores simply cannot compete with them.

You might spend an extra buck here as compared to Lowe’s or Home Depot which are a mile away but the customer service makes it all worth it. I’d rather be able to get a question answered from someone who is not trying to avoid me.

Old Time value and customer service. Started out shopping for a new water heater as the old one was 15 years old and I figured replace it while i have the money and before it bursts. Sooo went to Home Depots and Lowes in the area and was shocked at the prices. So I stopped into DeRonnes for their Carhartt days sale to get some shirts, well long story short they had water heaters on sale and the top rated heater by trade magazines on sale. With installation over $ 100 cheaper than the big box stores. Also I feel better about shopping local. THANKS DeRonnes!!!
