Ms. Brandi was very sweet taking my order! Though I can’t say the same thing about the wings. They were very spicy and delicious! You’ll have to be careful when you ask for spicy lol

Great find! I had never noticed the tiny storefront on Northampton St., but a search for fried chicken turned up this spot. Fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad and chocolate cake were all excellent, and the cornbread was good. The prices are extremely reasonable as well.
Good thing we’re headed to the gym later — the portions are huge and I’m sure the calories match — but definitely worth it as an occasional treat!
PS — we got takeout and the car smelled sooooo good as we were driving! It was hard to resist the urge to tuck in before we even made it home.

This is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Can’t get anything that compares anywhere in the area. The chicken waffle sandwich was absolutely amazing, the chicken full of flavor, very crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I recommend to anyone who loves southern/​soul food or fried chicken. Ms Brandi was extremely nice with excellent service.

I got the shrimp Po’Boy sandwich and it was awesome. Came with a good amount of shrimp, cole slaw and fries for $ 8. I thought it was a good deal for the quality lunch. I also got the sweet tea and it was good. It’s a pickup place only with no seating. This place is small and if you blink you will miss it but give them a try.

My fiancé and I are new to the area and were in dire need of some down home soul food. Searching high and low we finally found one soul food restaurant that met the mark! Ms. Brandi’s food is great and affordable and the service is spectacular! The staff is very friendly and welcoming (similar to a home away from home). We purchased the whiting fish platter with macaroni and cheese and cabbage, 3 piece dark chicken platter with candied yams, and a shrimp po boy with fries. All of which were delicous!
I would recommend calling to order ahead of time since they make everything to order.
We will definitely be regulars!

Such wonderful comfort food! The staff are lovely and care about their customers… always so friendly and sure to send us off with yummy food! The best wings in the area! Their mac and cheese just melts in your mouth! The garlic and parm wings are my favorite but the ranch are also great… we buy a mix. Remember to ask for their specials!

Ms. Brandi’s is a small store front but it’s filled with great smells and friendly folks. My boyfriend and I stopped by just to get an afternoon «snack» to hold us over to dinner. The ladies inside were very friendly, we ordered some fried chicken with a side of pierogis (That’s snack food right?) As we sat and waited (Ms. Brandi’s is a take out place with a couple of stools) and chatted the good smells coming from the kitchen increased and we ended up calling the rest of our group to see if they wanted some food too. We wound up getting dinner for four and we were not disapointed!
The Chicken and waffle sandwich is decedant, with bacon and cheese on there too. Very tasty. The sides were all fantastic. Great flavor on the green beans and collards. The corn bread was sweet and tender. The chicken was very tasty. Over all very good soul food. I would definetly order ahead and pick up lunch from them someday. Everything is very affordably priced and it sounds like they have some great lunch specials.
