Denny’s

Giving it a two star because the service was great. Lorna is awesome. Now that being said the food was just ok. My omelet came out after the rest of my party due to the fact the kitchen didn’t read the special preps. Hash browns were cold as ice. When we were leaving the manager instead of cashing us out was on her phone showing video to another employee. Really?

Worst dennys ever. Service sucks, food is not great. They need improvements badly. Will probably never take me and my girls here again until they improve there standards

We had been to two other Denny’s this past year and it seemed as if they were improving their standards, food, and décor; not this location.
The place only had a few patrons but we had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. Staff walked by us ignoring us and not making eye contact. It should have been my cue to leave, but we didn’t.
We were finally asked if we wanted a table or a booth. We said a table, and were then taken to a booth. We just looked at the guy. He asked what was wrong and we told him we just told you we wanted a table. He then pointed to a table and asked if that would be good enough for us.
We waited a long time to be waited on. Again, the place was not busy at all. We placed our order, noticing that the prices seemed high for a Denny’s. I was okay with it if better quality food matched the prices; which we would later find it had not. For example, we were charged almost $ 2.50 each for fountain ice teas. Again, not a fotune at fine dining but…
Another long wait for food, in an almost empty resteraunt. Food came out and were missing a few things. We told the waitress and she said she would get them, she never returned till it was time for the check, and never got the missing items.
Food was on the average Denny dinner quality. Nothing special, not improved. Just average at best, with poor service.

Christmas Eve, late, nothing open so I tried them for take-​out, Tried the bacon avocado cheeseburger with onion rings. Bacon was almost like plastic. Avocado was nearly non-​existent. Burger patty had a strange taste. Onion rings were dry, hard, tasteless. Service was very polite and prompt.
I do not expect fine dining at any Denny’s but this experience was more than disappointing.

It’s a Denny’s. So you have to go in with certain expectations. That being said, the food is always pretty solid. It’s pretty busy on weekend mornings and late night when bars empty out. But the service is always good. Angie has been there for over a decade (which is how long I’ve been going there) and she’s always very attentive.

This place is so bad that I am abandoning my policy of «if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.» My coffee arrived in a cup that was dirty ALL the way around with something very sticky – hard to believe the waitress missed it. I did ask for a fresh cup and got one with a brief «sorry.» Then the meal arrived: Scrambled eggs with bits of brown, limp bacon, and strawberries way past edibility. The toast arrived buttered – and so if you want to to insure hygiene and fresh butter, ask them to bring it unbuttered with butter on the side. About 90% of my breakfast went into the garbage. My advice: Go to the nearby Easton Diner or even Dunkin’ Donuts, or something at Rise Up Coffee or Earth Origins, and your day will start out better.

Truly one of the most horrific meals I’ve ever eaten. If I could have given a negative number of stars I would have.
Some background:
We’ve been coming to this Denny’s for years, as it’s on the way to Ocean City, a popular beach resort (for those who aren’t from here.) The food was always fine, same with the service.
The restaurant must have changed hands at some point, because the minute we walked in, we noticed it wasn’t very clean. There was food on the floor, and it looked a little down at the heels. Okay, not the biggest deal — maybe they had a big rush before we got there around 12 or 1. Surely the food hadn’t changed… right? Since it’s a chain?
WRONG.
I ordered two pancakes and a side of bacon. The pancakes, well — I’ve had microwave pancakes that tasted better and had better texture. The other people in my party ordered pancakes, too, and they had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for their food — I was done with my monstrosity of a meal (I was so hungry I would have eaten anything at that point…) by the time anyone else received theirs. The food was cold, rubbery, and the pancakes were hard on the bottom. Hard, as in, you had to saw through them with a knife. The bacon was cold and stale — and of questionable origin. Nobody else bothered to eat their food.
The service was lackluster, and needless to say, we did NOT pay for this awful meal. The manager was passive-​aggressive and snotty when we complained — and had the nerve to offer us dessert. Seriously?
Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT EAT HERE EVER NO MATTER HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE. When I’m done with this Unilocal review I’m also filing a complaint with the Talbot County Health Department so they’ll inspect the place. Food is not being held at the correct temperature, and the inside of the restaurant, as I mentioned before, was absolutely filthy.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take some Pepto and hope this meal doesn’t come back to haunt me… if you know what I mean.
JUST TAKE MY ADVICE AND FLEE IF ANYONE SUGGESTS EATING HERE. THIS PLACE IS A PETRI DISH AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY.

I hate dennys so the fact that I love this one so much says a lot. Customer service is awesome.

Blueberry pancakes with no syrup?! For real Denny’s I know I shouldn’t have high expectations from Americas diner but could you at least try. Please check your carryout orders diligently or you will end up eating pancakes without syrup and trust me it sucks. No condiments, plasticware, or napkins but still a nice tip. You’re welcome
