Clambake was disappointing but the lobster bisque that came with it was decent. Otherwise my wife loved her black pepper shrimp plate and the fried clams were above average. The salad dressings have room for improvement. Get the second floor table with an amazing view of the bay.

Very skeptical ordering the«Captains plate» in February, during off-season, but pleasantly surprised!

We eat here every time we head to the cape ! At least 5xs a season. Love food here. One counter for all fried seafood & lobster out of shell. Another counter for steamed lobsters, oysters, clams! At our last visit we got steamed lobster that seamed sort soft & not lot of meat inside. That being said, the lobster was sweet & delicious just not what we’re used to. Well as anyone who goes there knows this restaurant is owned by two brothers! They schooled us on how lobsters run this time of year. Some are hard shelled with more meat but not as sweet And a little more chewy. So glad the brothers took the time to explain to us why this occurs. The lobster was fresh as always and tasted fantastic as I said it just wasn’t what we were used to! The lobster pot will always be our go to place whenever we head to Cape Cod These two brothers run a great business with great food and great customer service. We are looking forward to going there again soon

We landed at this place on our way back from cape cod. Didn’t expect much since it was off the freeway. Ambience is nice with signs everywhere and seating outside with park benches under the trees. This place can get expensive though. We got the lobster rolls and fish and chips. The fish was really fresh and well made. The lobster rolls did have huge lobster chunks but for almost 20 bucks it better. Felt the lobster was a bit tough but not bad as such. Worth the stop.

I had a lobster roll, some onion rings, a couple fried whole bellied clams, and a fried oyster. Wicked big chunks of super fresh lobster! The onion rings were delicious and surprisingly no greasy after taste. The 2 clams and 1 oyster I devoured were juicy scrumptious!!! The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is the price… $ 17.99 for a lobster roll that came a la carte.

I have a cottage nearby and everytime we are in Wareham we go to the Lobster Pot. They have hand cut onion rings – not the fat premade ones – that are to die for. Not too greasy. I have had fish & chips, clams, clam roll and baked stuff shrimp. Never a complaint!

Yummy! It’s a walk-up and place your oder kind of place. Plenty of seating for families. They also have a market where you can purchase seafood. They have HUGE lobsters to see, which were fascinating(They go for about $ 100.) I got the lobster roll(comes on a small toasted hot dug bun for $ 17.99) it was pretty darn good! Big pieces of lobster, wish it was just a tad bit bigger for the price :/I also got the shrimp cocktail and a side of onion rings, both were delicious! For a quick bite to eat seafood(and spend some money on quality food), this place hit the spot!

Food and service are always amazing. Best fried seafood and clam chowder around! You can also get lobster, grilled cheese, stuffed quahogs… you won’t be disappointed.

The Lobster Pot has always been a must stop for me when headed to the Cape, but this last visit was quite disappointing. While the clams were tasty, the portion was very small for the cost of $ 25/plate. I paid for a dinner plate but received what looked like a clam roll. Plus no onion rings. It’s a bummer, but I don’t know if I’ll be back when there are other great options.

Still good food place in the area especially with kids, but … We used this place over 10 years, in this time I felt pricy than before. I knew they got appearance on TV news few years ago, it could be nice Ad for them, hope they will manage the shop right correct way.

Another visit brings more happiness to my stomach and I. This may be our 20th visit to this place, after coming here for years. But this year was the first where our bill exceeded $ 50 for a drink, a clam strip plate, a clam strip platter, a crab roll, and a pint of clam chowder. This place isn’t the cheapest, which was unfortunate since we enjoy eating here. Service hasn’t gotten any better, where the people at the counter looked as if they wanted to leave for the day. It is always nice to sit outside here, but I prefer inside on a hot summer day. Their clam chowder is smaller than most places for the same price. It tasted pretty good, not the greatest, but a decent one. The texture was right and there were many huge pieces of clams. Their clam strips are good every year, not overly breaded, fried for the perfect amount of time, and served with French fries and cole slaw. The plate is much smaller than the platter, which is a major difference from this year to last year. If hungry, order the platter. I ordered a crab roll, which was a lot of meat, but it was a small sandwich. The crab was very fresh and the sandwich worked. It was a bit bland though. Another visit signals the start of summer and this yummy meal means our summer will be pleasant.

$ 40 for a fisherman’s platter(does not come with onion rings) and a large fountain soda! Claims to feed 2, but the only one eating good is the owner! Very disappointed with this cape tourist trap! There is much better and fair priced seafood on the cape! I guess if you don’t know any better, this place is ace! I find it funny they sell T-shirts, so you can remind yourself of the disappointment and publicly spread the word!

All the seafood here is decent! If your looking for lobster in the rough especially big ones this is the place! However to me what stands out above the rest if you are looking for fried clams this is the place… Absolutely steller fried clams!

The lobster roll was… O.k. Tasted pretty plain and it was tiny. Nothing fancy to see here. The Clam Chowder was… O. k Two Lobster rolls(no sides) and a cup of chowder = $ 40. Probably should have tried somewhere else but it was ok. Reminded me of the big brother of Captain D’s Seafood(fast food chain).

1 visit. 1 lobster roll. Not a bad cold lobster roll. I prefer hot with no mayo but I think this was pretty good. The restaurant itself needs a little work but I was just here to grab my roll and go. Id give it 3.5. I read a lot of complaints on them being stingy. But look at this roll. Lots of fresh lobster :)

I have always had good food here. Its fried seafood, that’s what’s advertised and that’s what you get. I have eaten fried seafood all over New England over the years and to me this is as good as it gets. Today I had a calamari platter, a generous portion of both fries and calamari, not sure why there are negative posts about the portions. It could be considered pricey I guess but to be honest this kind of food in NE always is. The restaurant has always been clean with plenty of room to sit, lots of parking even during tourist months. The staff are attentive and friendly. I come here at least once each year.

Only a two words needed for this place: «TOURISTTRAP». OK: a few more: OVERPRICEDANDSTINGY!!! Two more: SMALLPORTIONS!!! A fish sammie which was quite a small piece(perhaps 3 ounces) and a LARGE(but tiny!) order of bland rings(small is probably tiny-kid size) came to $ 13.75 and NO cole slaw. Really: how much does cole slaw cost? I wouldn’t be at all surprised is the owner had a 40 boat with the name«eat-up, suckers» in a slip nearby. NEVERAGAIN!!!

Went with the Fisherman’s Platter. All fried fare. It was all awesome, with samplings of Cod, Scallops, Clams and Shrimp. All fresh. Clam Chowder is tops, in the brothy New England style rather than in the creamy west coast style. Great crew both at the counter and in the kitchen.

My friends and I spontaneously drove to the cape from Boston because we were bored. It was a cold wintery night and we were hungry. We stumbled across this seafood shack and decided to check it out. It was super empty because it was in the middle of winter. We ordered a whole lobster to ourselves and fried clams. The fried clams were SO good! Thinking about it makes me drool. It was the first time I ate a whole lobster to myself, so it was cool to learn how to rip one apart. It was super fun and super delicious! I had such a great time here. The staff was really friendly! They even let us hold one of the biggest lobsters that they had in the tank. I would love to come here again if it wasn’t so far! Two hours of a car ride I believe.
