Mr Bruno’s Pizza & Beyond

Fast delivery and hot food. I ordered online and the whole process was seamless. We got a specialty pie with eggplant, garlic, mozz, roasted red peppers and balsamic vinaigretteZ it was delicious. I ate three slices and don’t regret a thing. Also got the grilled chicken, spinach and mozzarella salad which was equally as good as the pie.

We have ordered from here numerous times and the food was always good up until last night. We ordered a pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was cold and rubbery like it was sitting for quite a while. The salad had more croutons than lettuce and was extremely wilted. Consistency is king in the food business. It has to be good every time.
We tried again and the food was not up to par. The chicken was chewy and the pizza wasn’t fresh. They are officially off my list.

I have ordered constantly from this place and every single time there is nothing to complain about. The Sicilian is absolutely amazing. The speciality slices are great and so is every other dinner and item on the menu. I have ordered delivery so many times and it arrives extremely fast, much quicker than the average pizzeria. I have visited inside the pizzeria and the staff is so happy to assist you with your order. Overall, great pizzeria and amazing food. I totally recommend trying this place to everyone!!!
Ordered this evening for delivery, food was honestly scorching hot and great. Chicken parm dinner can feed at least 3 people with the portions. Chicken parm pizza can feed about 8 at least. Cannot finish more then one slice. Great food!!!

Every time I order either delivery or pickup the pizza is cold. Can only get hot if you eat it there. Love the pizza, just don’t want it cold.

I’ve ordered from here before and I am so disappointed. Please don’t waste your money getting anything here. The first time I ordered it was amazing. However, this time around the food was cold and my wrap was dry. I’m not sure what’s going on but I will never order or get any food from here ever again.

I had walked into the Bruno’s and the tables were so dirty. The place had crumbs all over the tables and floor. It was a big turn off. I turned around and walked out.

I always go there for pizza. this year I decided to order food for Christmas Day. I picked it up Christmas Eve and we are lucky it made to the next day… it was delicious so glad I did this and I will do the same next year. thank you so much!

I’ll admit it. I don’t «get» Pizza in NJ. I grew up with pizza places run by Greeks, where a pie has a thinnish crust, a crispy rolled edge, and has spicy sauce and toppings. NJ pizza just doesn’t do it for me.
That said, Mr. Bruno’s is good for what it is. NJ style pizza.
The staff is super, very friendly, quick, and nice. The place is clean, the prices seemed OK.
I tried some sort of chicken pizza, and a slice of Sicilian. The sicilian was very plain, with a thick dough crust, minimal spices to the sauce, and little cheese. This seems to be the «thing» here, so it’s hard to knock ‘em for doing it. I still don’t get the appeal.
The chicken pizza was pretty tasty, so that helps.
Overall, I give them 4 stars for what it is, a NJ style Pizza place.

Grandmas pie is the best or the chicken Cesar pizza so delicious and always consistent.

This place is great! We have ordered delivery from them twice now & we have not been disappointed. Their square pie is delicious! I also tried the Italian sub today & it was very good too (the roll was a little hard though). We also really like their garlic bread with mozzarella. I highly recommend this place.

Mr. Bruno whomever made your pizza dough today clearly left out any salt or taste, really disappointing since we have enjoyed your Lyndhurst location in the past. Hopefully you read your reviews and look into the tasteless pizza we were served today.

Ordered via Grubhub. The order came within 30mins, everything was hot and fresh. Margherita pizza was fantastic. I also ordered a chicken parm sub, which came in an enclosed box thus maintaining it’s integrity.
Overall my favorite pizza place in the area. Can’t wait to order from them again.

New pizza place so I gave it a shot. They had Atleast a dozen speciality pizzas. I tried a chicken fingers n fries slice. It was fantastic. Staff was friendly as well.
Special slices are under $ 4. Great price.

my daughter, living in Lyndhurst, recommended we try the Sicilian now that you are in east Rutherford… I have to say I was blown away…
Also ordered the rice balls which were delicious… felt like I was having Friday night dinner at grandmas house…

This place never disappoints! Food is delish and the staff is super friendly. We eat here every Sunday afternoon!

The first time I went to Bruno’s I ate there with my family. The kids and I had ordered multiple slices: a macaroni and cheese slice (not very good), a plain slice, a Brooklyn square (topped with sautéed onions), and a white square with garlic and tomatoes, while the wife ordered the shrimp scampi. Overall, thought the food was good and the service great, which would have gotten them a 4 star rating.
What brings them back down to a 2 star rating is the fact that I just had them deliver. A plain pie and alfredo with linguini. 2 easy to make and hard to screw up meals if you are a pizza shop in jersey. I wouldn’t say it was the worst of each I’ve ever had but will say it was pretty bland and definitely disappointing. Won’t be ordering from here anytime soon after this experience…

I always passed this spot and wondered if this was an offshoot of Mr. Bruno’s in Lyndhurst or some place using the name «Bruno’s» to gain recognition. This place is the real deal! When I came in and saw them selling that sauce I knew they were legit! Plus I recognized the guy from the Lyndhurst Bruno’s.
You’re going to want to get the Sicilian for sure! It’s what the chain is known for. No place does Sicilian like Bruno’s! Sauce on top with the cheese on the bottom. Actually I say with confidence they got the best sauce around. I’m a sucker for good sauce on a pizza. I think it’s safe to say, if you order a dish and it has sauce on it, it’s going to be great. Picking up a jar wouldn’t be a bad idea.
The interior is big and spacious. Not nearly as fancy as the Lyndhurst location but still nice.
Lots of other slices to chose from as well. Bruno’s pizza always keeps a lot of slices handy so you don’t have to pick and choose which one you want. Regular pies are good too but not as notable as the Sicilian.
Oh and they are B.Y.O.B. Always a plus!
Needless to say I’m glad there is a Bruno’s pizza so close to me. I would go out of my way to get their Sicilian Lyndhurst but now I don’t have to! Not that I am going to stop going to the one in Lyndhurst because they offer an great dine in experience. This spot is great as well! Gotta love Bruno’s!

I am not completely impressed with their pizza. It is completely over priced and just average. We got a large pie and a spinach salad and it was the saddest salad I have ever ordered in my life!!! They literally threw a whole bunch of smelly wilted spinach, mandarins and old tasting feta cheese. Didn’t even mix them. The balsamic on the side didn’t even have oil. The pizza crust tasted like it had been in the fridge and left unwrapped (you know that nasty fridge taste.) Never again! I don’t like posting negative comments on Unilocal but our food was just awful! Hope they were just having a bad night!

Had the Sicilian and it was a great slice — as good as I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately the Chicken Francaise slice had a hair baked into it which was gross.
Staff were very friendly and professional. Immediately took the charge off the bill. I’d go back, but not in a rush.
