Good food, fast service. Friendly people with a good sized meal. Reasonably prices, good place for breakfast!

This is a surprising place, from the street you would drive by and never think twice about it, except they post some very creative brunch item on their sign. After many times saying let’s stop in we did and to our surprise it is the cleanest little dinner and with outdoor seating. The menu is not overwhelming, but the specials add something new every week. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Nice to have a quick diner so close to home, not charging East Side prices!

After a trip to the airport with the kids we decided to try the Broadway Diner. We arrived around 9:30 and there were two tables full. We were quickly pointed to a booth and the waitress took our drink orders. I requested a kids menu but was told they didn’t have one, however they did tell us of a few items that were available for tikes. The kids both ordered the pancakes. I requested the waffle with bananas, strawberrys and walnuts. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The ham with my son’s pancake was fairly small and my daughter received two pieces of bacon. My waffle was plate sized and full of fruit. All of us really enjoyed our food. When I received the check I was a bit surprised that the kids drinks were not included in the price of the meal, but it wasn’t anything too crazy. All in all this place was pretty good. I would give it another try.

Not much to look at from the outside but inside the diner is very clean everything looks brand new. Great homemade muffins. Good coffee and breakfast.

Tried breakfast on a sunday. Was pretty busy but was promptly seated. Place was very nice, clean, and staff was very pleasant. Food was pretty decent and prices were alright. Not my favorite breakfast place, but really good all the same. Had eggs, back and white toast with home fries, really enjoyable.

A most pleasant surprise for EP dining. We had an awesome Sunday breakfast experience. Diner plus — modern guts with an inspired diner menu. Your expected diner fair, plus a fun specials list with french toast, omelet, scramble, pancake, and benedict mashups. The Irish omelet and lox benedict were hits! Service was excellent, space was bright and clean, coffee cups were always full, and parking was plentiful. For a standard greasy spoon diner experience, this was well above average in food quality, menu options, and décor. Farm fresh eggs. We’ll be back!

Food was very good. Building is much larger than it appears on the outside. Place was pretty busy and I think they could have used a little more help. The service was good anyway.

Not quite deserving of all these 5 star reviews. It is not a bad diner at all but it is not a «I’m going to tell all my friends» type of place. All the good stuff: The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is squeaky clean the prices are very reasonable. The other stuff. Weak diner coffee The food was not really full of flavor and was very heavy. I would say this is a great step up if you are used to chain breakfast joints like an iHop; however when you look around at some of the other diners in Providence; Elmwood, Classic & Modern, then Broadway seems more of a step down. I’m trying to be fair, I just don’t want fellow Unilocalers to rush to a place thinking it’s got 5 star power when really it is more 3−½ kind of place. Eat well Providence

Just moved into the neighborhood and have driven passed the sign advertising pumpkin pancakes many times. Decided to try it. PLEASANTLY surprised. It’s super cute. Clean. Friendly. BEST pancake I’ve ever had. Fluffy and delicious. Amazing service and fast. Awesome neighborhood find!

Made an excuse to drive by this new incarnation of «Mel’s“and«The Rumford». I’m told it’s been open since Labor Day Weekend and that business has been good. Spiffing up renovations have made for a cleaner, crisper feel. Different old photos of Rumford on the walls. BREAKFASTALLDAY. CLOSESSHARPLYAT2:00PM. Friendly, young staff let me come in and order Eggs Benedict at 1:40. Among the best I’ve ever had for the incredible price of 7.99. The PERFECTLYCOOKED poached eggs tasted wonderful. Multiple Bennies available, even one with lobster. I only glanced at the rest of the menu since I knew what I wanted and found it right away but it appeared quite extensive for such a small place. There was a board of daily specials posted. Eight or nine tables with a counter in the front room. Assuming the same configuration as previous owners, a large second room and an outdoor patio will be available when weather allows. I have to confess I was a happy camper when I left.

I’m usually not open to new(local) places I sometimes feel iffy about going! But my husband assured me this was a great place and I gave it a try! The pancakes were awesome! way better than I hop pancakes! The home fries were really good too! The place has a very HOMEY feel to it! I loved it! The customer service was excellent! A beautiful young lady who was very sincere about waiting on us, nothing of this fake nice that you sense from other waiters for that extra tip. I really appreciate that! Loved it.
