Livin’ and Lovin’ the Good Food Life! It’s Small Business Saturday, so my fellow Unilocal elite member and I join forces to support local small businesses. We had planned to venture to Medu bookstore at Greenbriar Mall, after supporting, Shrine Bookstore and Cultural Center on the West End. On our way to Greenbriar, we wanted some good and delicious to eat, so we stopped in East Point at «Lov’n It Live. Yes, Lov’n It Live… food prepared with tender loving care. We both had the same appetizer, half avocado stuffed with nut meat, tomatoes, and bell peppers, presented elegantly, it was heavenly divine!(smile) For my entrée, I had the personal pan pizza scrumptious slice made with kamut bread, topped with spinach, tomato sauce, pine nut cheese, onions, chopped tomatoes, black olives, Sage crumbles and red bell peppers. My dining guest had tacos, two crisp flaxseed-sun flower shells stuffed with sage crumbles, pine nut cheese, avocado, tomato. We both agreed our entrees were good, however, the appetizer was Da BOMB!(LOL) Now keep in mind, all the food is fresh, organic, all natural, no additives or preservatives and prepared while you wait, so allow yourself, at least 20 minutes before the food arrives, so sip on some good olé’ Sorrel(Hibiscus flower, ginger and birch xylitol as a sweetener) The restaurant is cozy, casual and quaint, white table linen on all the tables, tasteful artwork lined the walls, and good music. If you’ve being meaning to try a vegan or live food restaurant, Lov’n It Love, won’t disappoint.

I must say, as a 20+ yrs vegan and living in Atlanta for the same; I joyously enjoy my first visit. I had the stuffed avocado, seaweed soup, sage burger, sampled my friend Ife ’ s quesadilla, and the strawberry cheesecake. They have taken raw to the next 10 levels. I will be back. And shouts out to the great service by Raven… try them… you’ll thank me ! This is the one only Zoraida..

Food is good but prices are outrageous. It’s vegetables for goodness sake. Are customers paying for food preparation time, ingredients or something else? Please explain …

Amazing food. First time at a «raw» restaurant. The menu writes the best lasagna you will ever had and it certainly was! Made with zucchini noodles, sage burger crumbs, pine nut cheese, with basil and tomato sauce. I’ll be back for more!

Excellent place to eat and dine. The only problem is that it’s located in Tim-buck2. Way too far, but the food is awesome. This is a place to visit on the weekend.

It’s been years since I’ve been to a raw restaurant, but this experience made me want to go more often, as everything was so flavorful and unusual in its composition. I mean, check out the lasagna in my photo: that is the most bizarre-looking lasagna I have ever seen… but I loved every bit of it(except it was perhaps a bit too salty), and came away wondering why anyone uses lasagna noodles at all, when zucchini slices taste remarkably similar and you get to eat a vegetable instead of white flour.(OK, I know, lasagna-eaters around the world are not going to give up their noodles and ovens just because raw zucchini happens to make an awesome lasagna noodle, but it’s nice to be presented with other options!) I ordered the kale salad with my lasagna, which was garlicky and fabulous(except just a little too much dressing). For dessert I had strawberry cheesecake, which was good, even though it tasted nothing like cheesecake. It’s coconut-y, and when I asked my server what it was made out of, she said coconut oil, mango, papaya, and date. So expect more of a tropical cream pie if you get this, not cheesecake. Put aside your feelings about what food should cost($ 21 for lasagna, for example), and this place is a delight. Also, it’s MARTA-accessible(East Point station).

The food never disappoints. Hadn’t been in years because the service was so laxed in the past. Today at lunch, service was amazing and the food was awesome as always. As a vegetarian whose mostly vegan I have to say this is absolutely the best raw/vegan spot in town! Real food, real raw, real healthy mostly organic ingredients AND predominantly freshly prepared to order. The freshness is worth the money and the wait. You get what you pay for in this instance. The owners even have their own farm. All credit is due… the food is excellent and satisfies the eyes, the nose and the palate Worth every minute of the commute :)…let you know if something changes lol.

I went there as I am a vegetarian. I ordered tostada. It was good, but for drinking I ordered ginger Rossito. I think the drink was not right. I vomited right after I left. I don’t know what caused food poisoning, drink or food. My stomach was upset for whole day. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is highly priced, not worth the food.

So I am very new into vegetarian /vegan and ignorant to a lot of it, but I’m excited to learn. I cannot say more about this place. Friendly, relaxed, helpful, nice environment… unassuming. What I ate was handmade food art! I never had any idea that vegan live food could be this good. I had the stuffed avocado for an appetizer, fresh and delicious! The lasagna was incredible… and to think it was vegan live… outstanding. Can’t say enough, except try it… It is off the beaten path by the airport, but worth it to me for sure. Be fit, Todd.

What a gem! An extensive raw vegan menu. The food was delicious. The stuffed avocados were amazing — probably my favorite thing I tried! I also highly recommend the sage burger. Service was great. But i deducted a star because the food was overpriced. My burger was good — it was not a $ 17 burger.

Best vegan food in Atlanta. Perfect for anyone on a raw foods diet! Everything is super delicious and tons of original and creative recipes. Not for the picky eater but great to bring your meat eating friends to stir their interest in vegan diets!

My husband picked me up the Tossed Salad with House dressing while visiting Atlanta and it was just fantastic. It had a little bit of a spicy kick with the most flavorful spiced dressing! Unlike any salad I’ve ever had so fresh and interesting. The only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star review was the price. It was fantastic, but not $ 15 fantastic. I still definitely recommend.

This is one of those places that you stumble across and thank your lucky stars for it. Lovin’ It is off the beaten path, but when Unilocal listed it as the nearest vegan restaurant we headed straight there. The restaurant was all but empty when we walked in — just one hostess /waitress was in sight, and zero other customers. After our meal experience it’s hard to believe this place isn’t packed all the time! Our waitress was very sweet and her demeanor amplified the experience. We ordered the raw lasagna and mushroom steaks, which were both delicious. The lasagna was my favorite, and came served as layers of thinly sliced zucchini, nut meats, other veggies, and topped with nut«cheese.» The mushroom steak was good, but the lasagna stole the show. Overall worth the trip. We took all four raw desserts offered to-go. No shame! Will return next time in Atlanta.

This place is world class! This is vegan food at its finest, period! Totally stumbled on it near the Atlanta airport by accident. What a find, if you are ever even close to the Atlanta airport, I implore you to visit. The stuffed avocado is out of this world, and the lasagna is magnificent, 100% plant, but tastes like nothing I have had before. Judy the owner and chef is a genius and a delight to talk to. She is a gem! I told her we cannot get food like this in San Francisco, who would ever have thought a world class vegan restaurant would be in East Point Georgia, but here it is. Will be back as often as possible.

When it comes to completely raw restaurants in Atlanta– the choices are few and far between. Many places have raw food options, but Loving it Live’s complete menu consists of raw delicacies. Do not be mistaken, we are not talking carrot sticks and cucumber slices here. The dishes are creative, beautifully prepared and filling. I had dinner here on a Saturday night and started with stuffed avocados. Wow! They were SO good. The restaurant uses a lot of nut meats — which they blend with other ingredients to create a really filling, flavorful combinations. For the main course I ordered the nut loaf which was served with a divine kale salad. This is just good food, people! Healthy, fresh, non-processed good food. I was too full for dessert but they had some really good looking options. I will have to save room next time. There are two things to note if you are planning to dine here. First, the food is made to order and you will have to wait at least 20 minutes to get your meal. Second, the prices are higher than one might expect. For me, both of these facts were acceptable because they use high quality, raw ingredients that cost more and food this good takes time!

Took my spouse to this restaurant while on a business trip. Had a very nice experience and we both marveled at the care and detailed meal prep and execution. My kale salad was very tasty and I usually don’t like spinach salad but his was good too. The sage burger was off the chain good, filling, tasty and visually beautiful. I would save my dollars and come again for this life giving food.

Okay, first impression? I walked in and the place was empty aside from a lady in a corner table and the gentleman behind the bar, who smiled(friendly) and told me to pick any seat I like. He handed me the menu as I sat down and my sticker shock began… I live in Los Angeles– and they don’t charge $ 12 for shakes there. It’s more like $ 8 or $ 9. $ 10 is steep in LA. The most expensive shake I’ve seen is in NYC @ the all-raw Pure Food & Wine. At $ 12 in Atlanta, I opted to have water instead of a shake, for now. The sticker shock continued. When I asked which item he thought was best, he picked the most expensive. Always a pet peeve, but I said to myself, lets wait until we see how it tastes. $ 26 for lasagna and a small kale salad. He also wanted to sell me on the $ 3 sage crumbles but I’d rather taste the original before adding onto it. ;) Plus, I’d be at $ 29 for an entrée and one side salad. The salad came out, and was intensely flavorful– my friends, they use some very fresh ingredients here. I could taste the fresh spices and the kale and tomato were perfect. The salad tasted like a taco, which I didn’t mind, because I’d been wavering over getting the taco. It was yum– a little salty, but yum. Here’s the deal– I eat out. A LOT, and I eat at a lot of high end restaurants as well as tiny little vegan or raw cafés. I’ll pay 16.50 for a large salad if it comes with a view– and that means people. This place was just too empty. High prices to me means I get the view– the people watching. Not so much here, but the salad was good. The lasagna, also, very very good. Impressive, even! I just don’t think the prices are justified for the location/ambiance. Did I mention the texture? They had the zucchini sliced thin enough for it to have a sort of noodley texture. This is a plus. Lastly, dessert was sweet potato pie, which was super sweet on first bite, but given the fact that I don’t usually like raw pies– this one changed my mind. I LOVED their sweet potato pie. Great food here. My dinner of lasagna, kale salad, and sweet potato pie was $ 37.99 not including tip. Other than the overpricededness, this place has great food, good service and funny elevator music to listen to. ;) Oh, and the server gave me a tip… Whole Foods has organic sales items every week and this week it’s blueberries for 1.99/lb. ;) not bad!

Recently had lunch here with a close(and attractive) friend as she is dabbling in Raw food and I am a Vegan 95% of the time. We were the only patrons. Service was basically friendly and they were playing«spa» music. They were out of two of the teas we wanted, so we randomly picked some kind of blend. The food, as promised, took a bit to come out. We had the Nubian Salad & the Tostado. I would probably give the food 4 strong stars — this was pretty tasty stuff considering the self imposed limitations on preparation. I can’t quite put my finger on what was amiss. Being out of something always annoys me… and I get the high price structure for the food; but a $ 5 cup of «tea bag» tea bugged me a bit. For lunch, two teas, and a slice of sweet potato pie it came in at $ 54 before tip… a little steep. I usually ignore pricing and try and view the experience with out vulgarly tainting my review with money talk. But for the cost it wasn’t «special» enough…

This is one of the hardest dining experiences I have been faced with. The food is beyond great, BUT — event though I was among some of the first regular patrons of this restaurant, and I go on a regular enough basis when I am in Atlanta, I am often greeted and treated like a total stranger. The owner is nice enough, and a calm and pleasant spirit, but she acts like she has never seen me before at times. It’s not like my appearance changes drastically from visit to visit. Most every other place where I dine on a regular basis, the owner, manager or hostess greet and acknowledge me as one would expect a regular. It’s just nice when you take a client to taste this awesome food you’ve been bragging about, to get some sort of warm reception, especially considering how much these dishes cost and the trouble it takes to get there. The Food — Just about everything I’ve had here has been exceptional in presentation and flavor. The only caveat is if you are sensitive to garlic or onions, you may ask to have the«chef» lighten up as some flavors may be too intense for the uninitiated. I’m not sure where or how they come up with the dishes. It is truly amazing how well thought out and prepared each dish is and how filling and satisfied you will feel eating food that has not lost nutrients, flavor, etc., from the cooking process. The Restaurant — 90% of the time, I do carry out because it seems the dine in process is soooo slow and does not add to the experience. I have never seen the place dirty, but the menus may be a bit worn and soiled and there is nothing warm or inviting about the dining area. There is just no special kind of ambiance that can easily be created with a few well-place decorations, plants, furnishings, lighting, wall art, etc. Service — It is not consistently good or bad. It SHOULD be consistently exceptional. Also, it would be nice to know if the credit card machine is working BEFORE you order. I’ve had to run around the corner to the bank to get cash when it’s down. You have to make a trek to get to this place and parking is not ample or easy. I’ve risked getting a ticket at the handicap space directly across the street just to get my raw fix. The owners/manager have been around long enough at this point to have heeded some of the advice about upping the service, ambiance, etc to the same level as the food. Maybe they are too comfortable knowing that there is not a raw restaurant within hundreds of miles that can touch or surpass the food and just don’t give a shyt.
