Good food but somewhat overpriced. I came for a family dinner, and ordered both from the hibachi menu and the sushi menu. The rolls were all pretty tasty but not spectacular. Pretty standard fare — as sushi rolls go. The hibachi was great though. My kids loved the chicken — so hot and so tasty! The seasoning was just perfect, not too salty but the right amount of flavor.
All in all, I would definitely come back but don’t know that this will be my go-​to, mostly because it’s kind of expensive.

Simply put the best. Steve and mj run a tight ship. The place is clean and appealing. The service js quick and the food is to die for. Mio is second to none i am having a 50 person party there soon.

Awesome place! Fourth time here and it’s all been so good. Nothing beats their friendly staff (especially Zark) and happy hour!!! Such a good deal and it’s all very yummy. The crazy tuna and winter roll are the best! I’ll be back soon :)

We must have as many Sushi places as we do Pizza and Bagel shops around us. So, for a place to stand out, they have to be very good and reasonably priced. So, I give 4 stars for great sushi and 3.5 stars for price. I also liked that I could order off the menu without fuss or explain too. Other nearby Sushi places are more rigid with sticking to the menu

Here it is.
Good food, as they all are on what I like to call Japanese row. From Elwood road to the corner of larkfield, there’s about 8 spots… Besides the fact.
The place is nice size. Offering hibachi and sushi. All very tasty.
But I must specify. GET A TABLE AND ORDER 2 DRINKS!!!
The bar is the worst I’ve ever seen. Slow slow slow service. It’s not the servers fault. I know because they are very fast, friendly, and great.
So tonight. We go to the bar instead of the table, and this is where it showed. Heads down, cell phone using, backs turned terrible… Please teach your bartenders to make a drink or get new ones.

I love this place. They have a great ambiance and awesome food. I ordered the tiger roll, dragon roll, and sweetie roll. The sushi was fresh and the flavors went so well together. I ordered brown rice with my sushi and the waitress was so friendly and accommodating. My brother ordered the chicken hibachi, and let me tell you– the chicken was so tender and tasty. The food here does not disappoint. We also had the seared tuna appetizer which was delicious! I will definitely be back.
There were many tables around us that seemed to be celebrating birthdays. The dining area and hibachi area definitely looks like it can accommodate a lot of people. Looks like I will be coming back soon!

I went here with my family on a Thursday night and even though it seemed to be pretty busy we got seated right away. We sat at a booth in a completely different section than the hibachi tables, which was good because then it wasn’t so chaotic. The menu was extensive and the waitress was quick. I got vegetable hibachi which came with mushroom soup, a salad with really delicious dressing, and a side of rice, all of which was really good and of large portions. My uncle got a sashimi and sushi platter, which was served on a cool ice bowl thing that had a color changing light inside. We also got tempura bananas and ice-​cream for dessert, which was SO good. Definitely recommend this place, especially if you want to take your family out somewhere nice, since the atmosphere is sophisticated but there were still plenty of families with children to make it casual.

It’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny. The cocktails are creative and tasty and whether you’re at the hibachi or at a table you can always count on an amazing meal.
I recommend the sesame tuna app.

We loved Mio! We had a birthday celebration at one of the hibachi tables. We had so much fun and the food was delicious. If you choose steak definitely get the filet mignon over the angus. We had sushi appetizers that were very good. Sake sangria so good and at only $ 6 a glass you can’t go wrong. Sparkling sake was also very good. Can’t wait to go back!

Went here for my dad’s 60th birthday — service was perfect! Hibachi chef was entertaining and catered to the wide range of ages at the table. And I asked for no mushrooms since I’m mildly allergic and he treated like it was an everyday request — didn’t make me feel weird or difficult!
Food was slightly overly salty but I greatly enjoyed it and would definitely return!
Also had an amazing sparkling saki!

Oh Mio my… I was so excited to go to my first Hibachi grill, so on 10÷05÷15 (My Birthday) my friend and I went. It was Monday and we were seated right away at this crazy table. Everything seemed clean and hip with a blue glow. We ordered apps and this big drink for two. Soon, no one joined us and I was excited for this 2 on 1 experience. The chef came out and began twirling a spatula and a some other implement while banging against the grill. I was giddy and excited. Sensing my excitement the chef came closer.
The hot spatula accidentally flew from his hand onto my arm.
I picked it up and gave it to him as he said, «it’s hot it’s hot!» It didn’t feel hot, until my skin started to burn a few seconds later. A waitress came and asked if I was ok, and I nodded. After this happened I was so worried that I made the chef anxious and he would be prone to more accidents. I sat there and tried to have a good time. I can’t say whether the food was good or bad because my stomach was twisted. My arm is uncomfortable but ok. I won’t ever do something like this again.

I came here for a hibachi dinner with my boyfriend and I have to say this place is pretty cool! The décor is really modern and most importantly they food is delicous! We went on a Sunday evening and there were a few other parties at hibachi tables, but since there were no other small groups they put us at a hibachi table by ourselves. This is why I took one star off what otherwise would have been a 5 star review. I felt that since it was only 2 of us our chef half assed our show. He did a few cool tricks, but the other tables around us definately got more of a show. Regardless the food was awesome! I got a combo of angus steak and salmon with veggies and fried rice and it was all really good! I would deff come back here again, but I would probably come with a larger group.

Really, really good food at this restaurant and great atmosphere. The one complaint I have about this restaurant was the fact that the waitors/​managers/​bus boys were the slightest bit pushy. I understand it’s a new restaurant and they want to make sure their customers are happy, but we were asked four times during our dinner if we were happy with our meal. Other than that though, my food was delicious and service was fast. Don’t worry Mio, you’re doing a great job!

We just received their menu at our house the other day, and as Sushi lovers we decided to give them a try. I am not particularly a fan of Hibachi places, but, their sushi menu looked good. I ordered a hot girl roll without eel, and a kiss of summer roll without salmon, both with brown rice. My husband ordered salmon sashimi, a spicy salmon crunchy roll, and hibachi fried rice.
On the positive side, they got our orders right and the delivery arrived quickly. Very quickly. On the negative side, they did not send any soy sauce or napkins, the fried rice was nothing like it normally is at these places so my husband threw it out, the sushi for him was tasteless without soy sauce, and for me smelled and tasted a little fishy. It also fell apart easily and was very underwhelming.
I cannot attest to their restaurant as I have never been in it, so I also cannot comment on the service. But the food itself was not at all what I expected — much better on paper than on the palate — so needless to say we are throwing away the menu and going back to our favorite local sushi: Tokyo.

Overall my experience was very good and I would definitely go back. The look of the restaurant was very modern and made for a nice ambiance. The staff was very nice and accommodating about everything.
I went with 3 other people. I ordered the American Dream roll, took out the cucumber and added avocado. I also got the spicy crunchy crab roll, both were amazing. Two of my friends got the chicken teriyaki which they said was good but they have had better. My other friend got the hibachi with all of the different sea foods (can’t remember the name) she said it was good but a tad salty.
Overall we decided that we would come back just for the sushi. Maybe the other entrees were not as good because we weren’t sitting at a hibachi table. I will definitely come back!

I can absolutely say this place was the best hibachi place I’ve been to on Long Island.
To start– hibachi!!! Eric was our chef and put on an amazing and unique show! He had tricks I’ve not seen and a great personality! He had an angry birds chef hat — need I say more :). He turns your food into art and entertainment! I’m not going to reveal all the great tricks though!
I saw other chefs for a kids birthday that had the same enthusiasm and unique show. Everyone at the tables were smiling and clapping all around. If you weren’t smiling — you need to realize life is good :)
The ambiance is elegant, modern and comfortable at the same time. There’s tables a sushi bar and hibachi so you have your options for the different area and mood.
The menu is extensive and has a wide variety of hibachi, sushi, drinks, everything!
The manager and service shook hands and introduced themselves even when they were busy they had all smiles and really good service.
The food– the pics are there. My taste buds were dancing. They still are !!
I’ll be back!

For right now I’m going to give this place three stars — but if and when I come back I am hoping to up their rating.
Service and décor were perfect. The space is dark, trendy and spacious. Nice bar area, regular dining area and big hibachi area in a separate section.
My mom and I were here for lunch and they had a large selection of lunch specials.
We started off with steamed shumai and a bowl of edamame — both very good. The shumai steamed to perfection and the edamame was still crunchy and not overcooked.
My mom had soba noodles with steak — she liked the dish allot but said it was a bit salty.
I opted for the three roll lunch special. I was a bit disappointed in the rice and the avocado. The rice fell apart on two of my rolls and the avocado was darkened on my peanut roll.
I know it’s a lunch special but that doesn’t mean the quality of construction and ingredients should be down played.
Being one of many sushi joints in the area I think to keep people coming the quality of the food they pump out has to be good.
I would be willing to give them another go and try one of their special rolls or dine in their hibachi area.
