Lemon Tree

My daughter went there for an updo that she paid $ 55. for. It took the girl 25 minutes and in the end it looked like a ten year old had done it. My daughter had to take it out and her friend (not a licensed hair dresser) redid it. The salon was non responsive to our complaint. Do not go here if you want professional looking work.

My hair is really long, so you’d imagine I don’t get it cut very often. When I do go to a hair salon the things I hate most is when they basically have you sit in the chair and just insult the quality of your hair and then offer you a bazillion different treatments that you probably don’t need. That fortunately didn’t happen here. All the ladies were very nice and easy to talk to. Rather than tell me my hair is horrible they actually complimented it which was refreshing. I was also recovering from a bad perm and shared my story with them and they basically verified that the other hairdresser didn’t do it correctly. I knew it!
They had a $ 19 deal for a shampoo, haircut and blow dry with coupon. That’s a great price as most places start and $ 30 and up. Salon’s usually always charge me extra for long hair but Denise didn’t. She said it didn’t make a difference since it was just for a cut. I normally let it air dry anyway. That’s the first time that’s ever happened. It was very nice of her. She cut my hair very well and she did it quickly. I got exactly the look that I wanted and she didn’t get scissor happy. She showed me exactly how much she was cutting before the scissors touched my hair to make sure I agreed. I really really appreciated that. I’ve also had bad experiences in the past where they cut way more than they were supposed to. There was no wait either because I went early in the morning before lunch. Zara did a great job washing it too and was very patient. When I say my hair is long I mean you could use half a bottle of shampoo and it might not be enough haha
I will definitely come back here as opposed to the other Lemon Tree on Old Country Road because the lady that runs that one is just plain rude.

I brought my own color (because I have a sensitive skin) and told the lady (Denise) just to color the roots on top of my head, but she didn’t listen to what I said. She said that I should have bought another box because it wasn’t enough. She did a very, very sloppy job. It took her just 5 minutes. My forehead was all stained with die. I decided I was not going to finish the blow dry job, and went home to scrub my forehead and try to remove the die, but it didn’t work. Now I have to go to work with a map on my forehead.
Besides that, she didn’t have people skills.

I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to hair salons but I’ve come here a few times over the years and always left happy. Today Kristi gave me an ombré style and cut and I love it! Zahra washed my hair for me and kept checking in to make sure I was doing ok. I really appreciated the attention they gave me and they made sure I achieved the style I wanted. Thanks ladies!
