Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Terrible, terrible experience. I reserved an SUV and showed up at the arranged time. Upon being dropped off, I was told they would not rent me the car as I am 23. The reservation I was able to make (where I specified my age) and all of my conversations with them over the last two days neglected to mention that. Now I have to walk an hour and a half home and pray I can find another rental agency before I have to leave in 5 hours. The worker (I believe Amir), was very helpful trying to find me an alternative. Enterprise sucks and I won’t ever use them again.

Had to use Enterprise because of an insurance claim, showed up to pick up my car at 8AM, because I have to get to work, and they were 10 minutes late opening. I was given a Ford Focus, which was completely filthy on the inside and rode terribly, and called right away to complain. Was told that’s how that car rides, but if we want to change it out, we could go to Bellmore and exchange it. The next day we did, and manager trainee Dominic apologized, saying that Focus is a terrible car and will give me something better. I then brought him out to the Focus to show him how filthy it is, and he apologized again, saying the car wash does a lousy job on vacuuming because they do not get tipped lol. The replacement Camry rode great, and when my repair was complete I called Bellmore to confirm I could return this car to East Meadow. Show up again at 8AM, no one there, 10 minutes late. The guy shows up and checks the Camry in, asks what car we returned originally, told him the Focus, his words, «oh, that car is a piece of s%^t.» The store is a disgrace, dirt all over the floor, barely furnished, really unprofessional. I’ve used Westbury on Old Country Road in the past, I suggest you go there, even if it is out of the way.

If I could give no stars I would, but it seems at least one star is required.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, bar none. I have never had a smooth transaction with this organization. My wife recently rented a car from them while hers was being repaired. They gave us one that leaked oil on my driveway and in my garage. They have been totally unresponsive except to say, «it’s not my job», call someone else. I called their corporate office and tried to reach someone, anyone, but not a single one of their extensions connect to anything.
The time before when I used Enterprize instead of a car, they gave me a jacked-​up Ford 150 pickup truck. My wife has a disability and could not climb into the vehicle. Their response was, not my problem, call someone else. The only reason I used them this time was because my repair shop was right next door to their office. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET SUCKERED INTO USING ENTERPRIZE. I caution anyone against using them as well.
Well, one day after I posted the above nastygram, someone came to the house to try to remove the oil stains. He worked very hard at removing them, but unfortunately they are still there. I still will go elsewhere when I need a rental.

My wife called and setup a rental of a full sized pick up for a camping trip .Went to the location to get the truck and was helped by a smug pencil pushing little condescending prick. Looked at the the truck which was similar to an avalanche which was not a full size truck like we asked .My coolers wouldn’t have even fit in this truck. I told my wife lets go walked out and called U-​Haul in Bethapage which turned out to be the savior of the day. Within an hour we loaded the van and were on our way camping
