Great food and even better service! I’m from out of town on tour, and the staff was so kind and welcoming. A must go!

Woody’s has been the go to place for Michigan State students since I was a student back in the mid-1990s. Today I love going for the vegetarian grape leaves, hummus and babaganoush, not to mention the rice pudding for dessert. Woody’s Oasis now has a kosher kitchen at a separate location and is able to cater strictly glatt kosher meat lunches and dinners. They do all the kosher dinners for Brody Square, Holmes Residence Hall and Wilson Residence Hall on the MSU campus. Their food is always fresh and delicious, the service is great and their prices make it a great deal for lunch or dinner.

So so so good. The salads are very fresh, and the falafel wrap is HUGE! Order a bunch of little things, grab some halva from the small grocery section, and you have food for a couple of days. I have been here a few times and it is consistently great, healthy, fresh food!

I like the cauliflower sandwich but the last time I got it the cauliflower was completely burnt to a crisp. It was black and shriveled up – totally inedible. I couldn’t believe they served it. They also either don’t ring up special requests or forget to do it making it because I only get extra sauce about half the time I ask for it. Pretty inconsistent. I’ll stick to Sultans or Aladdins.

MSU green machine juice drink is a great pair with anything you get. I love that I can get bulk healthy items to go. Very tasty, budget and belt friendly. I’ve been going here for decades and always will. Reliable.

Seriously good Mediterranean cuisine and a fantastic vegan option in East Lansing. I cannot get enough of their hummus, tabouli, grape leaves, and falafel! So good!

Pretty good food(had the garlic chicken schwama and a beef schwarma). Unfortunately, found a long hair in my salad which was a bit unappetizing. I don’t really consider that a huge knock on cleanliness or anything but wouldn’t expect something like that if you were to go to a higher end restaurant. Value was good as everything seemed reasonable priced to get a good meal for sub ten dollars. Ambiance is super casual.

I live in Seattle and only wish Woody’s existed where I live. I come to Lansing one week every year and Woody’s is one of 2 restaurants I immediately crave.(The other is San Su) Woody’s has THEBEST chicken shawarma sandwich in the entire world! Amazing food. Great value. GOSPARTANS!

I recently moved to EL and this place quickly became my favorite place here.

The food is EXCELLENT. Ambience is very cute, especially for a place that is mainly a take-out joint.

Now I’m not gonna pretend like this is the best middle eastern food in the world, I know it’s not… but it’s good… like really good. And it’s fast and the menu is fairly extensive. It’s a great place after a Spartan game, it’s on your way out of town so it’s not packed with people and when you are done you are on the highway in like 10 seconds. It’s clean and pleasant, sometimes the people behind the counter can seem a bit lost and you also pick your order up… they don’t come to your table… but it’s good enough that I don’t care. We love this place

I went for lunch with a friend and had the worst experience. The food was not fresh, way over salted and the tabouli was very gritty as if the parsley was never washed. There’s rumors about this place and their practices of cleanliness and trying to save money by cutting corners. Im sorry one corner you shouldn’t cut is cleaning the vegetables and herbs properly and not feed me sand dirt and pesticides. Every bite of tabouli had sand or dirt in it. Then I got so irritated there was this employee standing there talking negatively about every patron in the restaurant!(mostly in arabic, which I understand and speak) This lady is fat, look at her dress, this guys’ moustache, that girl is very loose and sleeps around. I was so fed up with her talking about everyone I told my friend that I am going to speak to a manager or owner about her behavior. Turns out my friend recognized her from back in the day and says SHEISTHEOWNERSWIFE. I was beside myself!!! Should be ashamed of yourself, especially after my friend informed me that she had that«turn down for what» attitude about EVERY guy in Macomb county back in her day, way back… something about glass houses???

I ate at this location for the first time, after enjoying take-out versions of their food sold at Foods for Living for years. My mom and I sat at a table outside, which is sheltered by the roof so you can sit outside even if it’s raining, and I ordered my very favourite thing — the hashwi platter. I love it so! Fragrant rice(hint of cinnamon) with chicken, ground beef, and toasted almonds/pine nuts mixed in. It’s so light and gorgeous and delicious, it’s long been one of my favorites for take-out, and eating it in the restaurant was even better. Creamy hummus, abundant pita, and great Greek salad. An East Lansing classic! I hope to come back again the next time I’m home.

This place is great! Although it’s not the best place I’ve had Mediterranean food, the atmosphere is one of the best(esp at night)! The food was fresh and delicious. I would strongly recommend everyone to try their sweet potato fries and their garlic chicken shawarma sandwich. Not only was the food good, but my waiter was also very attentive. He was super friendly and made sure I got my refills on water and asked if I needed anything without being overbearing. Overall, I would definitely come here again! It’s a great place to eat with a group of friends!

The food is always great. I ordered and paid online. Unfortunately when I arrived, a woman stood there going through paperwork and the other just kept taking orders of the people standing in line. I waited five minutes for someone to simply turn around and hand me my order. Online ordering is nice but please work out more of the details.

Woody’s is ok… let’s face it, there aren’t too many Mediterranean options in mid-Michigan. Lots of veggie and meat options — but the salt levels are out of control, especially in the hummus. If I’m on the MSU campus and pressed for time, I sometimes venture here. But it wouldn’t be my top choice for a weekend meal or night out.

One time they ran out of meat grape leaves so I got veggie grape leaves. Then they found some meats in the back and just gave them to me. Best places

If you’re looking for fast, healthy, and delicious food, look no farther than Woody’s. I’ve been a Woody’s fan since my days as an undergraduate — the food quality and reasonable prices have held constant over the past ten years. The produce is fresh, the food is flavorful, and I never leave disappointed. I love the slightly smoky flavor of their baba ghannoush, and always opt for the spicy hummus on my sandwiches(which are actually wraps and tend to run $ 5-$ 6). While their new building on Trowbridge Road is lovely(and a step-up from their old corner of the next door strip mall), this is not a traditional sit-down-and-order or fine dining experience. If you’re looking for something that feels a little nicer, try Woody’s Bar and Grill on Grand River — a more traditional sit-down vibe, with a liquor licence.

Ambiance: Little bit of a fast-foody feel here with a huge ordering counter and self-seating all around. The counter was cluttered but did showcase a delectable array of baked goods. Service was super-friendly. Food: We ordered the spicy chicken combo and a chicken schwaerma combo. The spicy chicken was probably the most flavorful with a nice savory chili sauce. Sadly most everything else was a let down. The chicken itself was slightly over-braised, being overly tender to the point of mealiness. It was stewing in its thin clear juices when schwaerma is traditionally slow-roasted and therefore should be fairly dry. The chicken schwaerma flavoring seasoning was very lackluster. We fortunately ordered the spicy garlic sauce on the side which helped the chicken dishes along but not enough to cover up the poor preparation. Secondly, the rice with vermicelli pieces clearly tasted like it came from a instant box(rice-a-roni?), both in flavor and texture. People who cook their rice and pilafs at home will be able to tell the difference. I’m used to fluffy-pillow-y pita lightly steaming on the inside and mildly crisped on the outside, not the dry and tough leather this place served. I will give them credit, however, the spicy hummus was excellent and I appreciate the copious amount they gave with the combo(a whole round tupper’s worth!). Finally, the mediterranean and greek salads were decent. Overall, the non-schwaerma schwaerma, instant-rice, and terrible pita bread ruined the meal for me. The spicy sauce they covered the chicken with, the garlic sauce, and the spicy hummus were admittedly very tasty and salvaged the meal partly. I honestly wouldn’t come here again except to get very specific things, definitely not a meal. The desserts did look admittedly delicious but I’ll continue my pursuit for better mediterranean food in Lansing.
