Applebee’s

I love Applebee’s for group gatherings. I am not always pleased with the food. Most time the riblet’s basket is overdone, and the wait can be long. I do keep going back, because I like the prices and the food is good overall

We regularly go to Applebee’s on west Saginaw in Lansing but we were in the east Lansing area today.
Let’s me start off by saying the waitress we had was wonderful. She was kind to everyone and helpful.
Now, this place is a fricken joke.
My wife ordered fries with no salt or seasoning. When she got them she chocked because they were loaded with both. (the waitress showed me the ticket and she had written, plain fries no seasoning on it)
The waitress took them and got others.
I ordered the «Triple Hawg Dare Ya» sandwich.
The menu description is ham, pulled pork and bacon.
It came with one slice of ham on it, no bacon, no pulled pork.
The waitress took it back and when she returned it had one slice of ham and a scope of what I think was pulled pork, but it was a minced gooy mess, still no bacon.
Instead of waiting more we just ate what we got and left.
There was a group of six at the table next to us who had not gotten their entrée yet before we left but they had returned 4 of the margaritas (same kind) they had ordered and 2 appetizers they ordered saying that they were all «nasty».
It was not the wait staff, they were having problems with the bar and kitchen staff.
Again our waitress (wish I had her name) was wonderfull, apologetic about others problems and this poor girl had to handle all the complaints and still do her job. She told the people at the other table she would get the manager for them. We left 20 min later and still no manager, but the waitress was still apologizing for him not being there yet.
We will not be back to this one again.
Other customers said the same.

We ordered pick up from them today, on probably what is one of their busiest days (Veterans Day). There was a mix up with one of our orders. I felt bad for calling about it because they were so busy, but I had a long day and was REALLY looking forward to their delish mac and cheese! Bruce, the manager, was so kind and took care of it immediately. I was treated very well and will definitely go back! Thanks, Bruce! :)

Ugh, I don’t know why I still go here. Hair in my food, unimpressive staff, sub-​par food.

sucks here don’t come. can someone open something that stays late like Applebees so we can have somewhere better than this shit hole Come too

I need to stop doing this to myself. .-. I always start off reviews like this saying how much I do not like bar chains. Why do I do this?
We had a choice between Red Lobster, Max & Erma, and Applebees. No one had heard of Max & Erma before and one of us didn’t want fish… So Applebees, it was. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server came around and got our drink orders. He was really nice. ^_​^ I really really enjoyed my mango tea. It was so great that I got three refills.
Got the two for $ 25 deal. Some boneless buffalo wings, a steak, and some honey chicken tenders with mac and cheese. In a previous review, I talked about the mac and cheese. I thought it would be better states away.
Nope.
Bone-​dry chicken tenders and soggy mac and cheese. .-. Man, stop doing this to me, Applebees. I keep giving y’all chance after chance.
The steak was pretty good, though! Cooked medium, just how I like it. The wings were good, too. I just don’t know anymore.

Good food and somewhat affordable. My wife and I get the 2 for 20 which include an appetizer.

Good service always had good waiter and always seated quickly. Foods average diner food nothing really special. I go here when I want to sit and chat because its close by and not loud like some other places overall I like the atmosphere.

We stopped on our way up to Mt. Pleasant for lunch. I would say it is your run of the mill Applebees… Predictable, but good. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, steak, fish, appetizers, salads and soups. My husband wanted chicken wings so we ended up splitting the appetizer platter with boneless wings, sliders, and mozzarella sticks. I didn’t care for the sliders too much. They were a little underdone for my taste. The mozzarella sticks were great and my husband liked the wings. If you check in on the Unilocal app, you can get an order of onion rings for free (as of Oct 18^th). I showed the offer to the waitress and she wasn’t familiar with or had seen the offer before, but checked with the Manager and was more than willing to honor it (I’ve had problems with check in offers in the past). While the food was a solid three stars, I will bump up this review to four because the staff were so kind. They even had a very pleasant host who insisted he open and the doors for you on the way in and out. The location is near a Wal-​mart, Meijer and other shopping. It’s worth a visit!

Good place to catch the game. After 9p some of the appetizers are ½ off The staff is friendly and most remember you from previous visits.

A proven winner that delivers exactly what you want. And tonight I did not want to cook. My wife and I used to hit Applebee’s a few times a month, always after 9 pm where we could make a meal out of appetizers. Tonight was no different and I was happy to cut into a few boneless chicken wings. The portion size is perfect, I always leave full but not hating life like you do after the buffet. The manager stopped at every table to check on service and he should have no worries about his staff, top marks. The menu is classic American, don’t expect to be dazzled, just full.

Ok sure, this is your typical Applebee’s food.
BUT this place definitely deserves five stars for accommodating 30+ crazy indian people twenty minutes before closing time on a Saturday night!
Major props to all the waiters and kitchen staff for their sweetness and incredible patience, when I’m sure all they really wanted was go home for the day and/​or kill the 30 people who had the nerve to walk in twenty minutes before closing.
Great job accommodating all of us and thanks so much for the great service!
PS. The Strawberry Lemonade Quencher is definitely a win!

The quality of the food was horrible. this seems to be a pattern with them so I won’t be going back!

I only had dessert, and it was great. My grandpa commented to the manager about how great out service was because the waitress we had was very nice. ⁴⁄₅ would eat here again.

I always have great service when dining here. There is almost always walk-​up seating at the bar (except during big games!) and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. The food is decent (it’s an Applebee’s not 5-​Star dining) and I’ve never been disappointed by anything. Their 550 Calorie options are actually surprisingly good (though high in sodium like most chain restaurants so look out!). Drink specials are pretty decent and this particular location is just far enough way from downtown East Lansing to be free of the hordes of students that crowd out some restaurants.

For convenience sake, we ended up at Applebee’s for lunch. It was one of those days where I was looking for a bunch of junk to eat, and got the appetizer sampler. (Don’t worry, I didn’t finish it all).
It was a bit disappointing, even with not terribly high expectations.
The spinach artichoke dip was watery, and the mini quesadillas might as well have been cardboard. The mozzarella sticks had an unexpected lime flavor and the chips were fresh. The boneless wings were the best part.
My brother’s fries were the most disappointing of all. Borderline cold.
But the girl who wanted on us was really sweet.

Decent chain restaurant, pretty much like the others. I’ve never been disappointed by the food or the service.
