I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is the best convenience store in the central Connecticut area. Maybe even all of Connecticut. I don’t know where to start with this place to be honest. From Pop Rocks to Four Loko(if you’re in the mood for cardiac arrest) all the way to those BBQ Frito-Lay Twist that aren’t sold anywhere. this place will have it in stock by the dozen. The dedication the workers show to this store in unmatched. It wouldn’t surprise me if they stayed open during a nuclear holocaust. I came in during the late AM hours for a snack and left with a chicken steak sub with mayo and lettuce and it was absolute fire. Minimum credit/debit purchase is $ 5.00 so bring cash if needed

Fried chicken steak and cheese was the bomb. Going to try the gobbler roast turkey stuffing cranberry sauce

Stopped in for lunch today after receiving recommendations from fellow co-workers. I got an Italian grinder with everything on it and I must say, it was delicious. It had a great amount of meat and the toppings tasted nicely too. I only paid $ 7.50 and also got a big bag of Doritos. This is such a better deal than either Subway or D’Angelo’s. I’ll be returning often.

Definitely a preferred location for picking up a grinder. Hot or Cold, they are delicious and 30−40% cheaper than deangelos. The folks at the counter are friendly and whip up a tasty sandwich quick! Yum!

This place deserves more than what it is! The environment and presentation in this restaurant is lacking but I was impressed by the sandwiches! Great lunch place or for a quick bite! I would pay for a philly steak for 5.99 any day than subway. Delicious 1 ft hot sub for the price. If they did a bit of renovation to make this place nicer, added a few benches outside cheap prices, parking available.

The sandwiches served at the deli here are the best-kept secret in town. Actualy, the secret has been getting out it seems. Inexpensive but not cheap. I’m addicted to their cranberry-walnut chicken salad. I think it was $ 4.39 for a sandwich on a nice roll with cheese and all the toppings. Cheaper without the cheese. The steak and cheese looks good and seems popular, there are always some going when I visit. But I just can’t get away from the CWCS.

Krauszer’s isn’t the prettiest, but it sits high on the list for convenience stores in areas like this. They have always had a deli that served cold sandwiches and soup. Recently, they installed some grills and a fryer. Now, the place has a constant flow of people getting steak and cheeses, beef patties, and fried chicken. Where there used to be one guy behind the counter, they typically have three or more running almost nonstop. This is because not only are the varieties of sandwiches on par or better than the local choices of chain stores, but they’re also priced far lower than elsewhere. However, the bread is hit or miss. It’s not uncommon to get a roll that’s on the stale side. This store also carries a basic grocery selection, focusing on snacks, but also offering soap, toothbrushes, beer, and everything else you’d expect from a convenience store. Behind the counter, you can get your tobacco, hair nets, crack pipes, and lotto tickets. What more could you ask for? Here’s where they really triumph: they have a large parking lot and they never close. Seriously, they never close. They were the only place in town I could find open during the blizzard of 2013. Also, that parking lot is crucial. I’m so sick of trying to squeeze in and out of ghetto parking lots. Krauszer’s has a lot so big that it’s common to see 18-wheelers parked here. If you want an easy in and out shopping experience, head to Krauszer’s. There may be better choices, but not in this town.
