We could use more places like this in downtown, they have lots of small things you didn’t even know you needed until you see them. I have yet to try their sandwiches but the employees are so pleasant! Love this place wish it was closer to my apartment!

Second time I have been here. Food is still awesome, staff is super nice. They make terrific sandwiches that are very generous and filling. Prices are very good also. Definitely worth a stop. Only bad thing is it has to be a to go order. No place to sit and enjoy.

This is a well stocked little deli of which there are too few downtown in Hartford. I love to stop in for a breakfast sandwich when I’m running late for work, but don’t want something processed or I might stop in for a wrap on my way home after work. The food isn’t stand out, but it’s a reliable and generally quick meal and the service is great. The snack options are innumerable. Saves me from walking to the pharmacy in the rain if I just want to pick something up. I’m a fan of their salad bar with tons of fresh options. They chop everything up that morning. I have a lot of respect for the owners and employees of this deli. They are very nice, make things right the first time or fix it with no complaints. All that while working sun up to sun down and then some. ETA: this is the better of the two cheap(i.e., under $ 6) sandwich options on Trumbull in my opinion.

I want to comment on two different things here. Firstly, it’s a well-stocked deli. You can come here for medicine, snacks, ice cream, some simple groceries. I enjoy that a lot since I’m here for a business trip, living in the Hilton, so I can grab something small when I’m hungry. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It was very clean as well. This part of the deli deserves 5-stars. On the other hand, the sandwiches part was just meh. I ordered the BLT on a roll, the bacon was overcooked and the roll was stale. It didn’t even taste like BLT since I’m biting bread most of the time. The person who prepared it for me was very nice though. The salad bar was empty when I went around 4pm so I can’t really comment on that. If you’re desperately hungry, you can stop by for a sandwich. If not, just buy some snacks from there and get food someplace else.

Yes! Salad: Solid little salad bar, pay by the ounce, fresh, good options, at least 8 dressings, fruit, tuna, crab, pasta salads, seeds, craisins, artichokes, all of it. Not sure how much, but my salad usually costs $ 4.25ish. Deli: Boars head! more varieties than your grocery store! hard rolls, grinders, 4 kinds of wraps, many sauces, many cheeses, many veggie toppings. So good! The tuna salad is perfect! Not mayonnaisey at all. They also have eggplant Parmesan, chicken parm, chicken cutlet, lobster, veggie pattie, BLT, meatballs, etc Priced $ 4.25 to $ 6.50. They are very well staffed, so line is long, but moves fast. And everyone is very friendly and efficient. And they also have Jamaican beef patties and cocoa bread. They also have soups, and salads they make for you(chicken Caesar, antipasto etc for $ 5 to $ 6) They also do a basic breakfast(egg & cheese & meat on bagel/roll/english muffin) MORE: It’s a mini grocery store! Medicines, cleaning products, cooking basics, toilet paper, toiletries, cat food, snacks upon snacks, coffee, tea, candy, chips, fruit rack, drinks galore, milk, eggs, cheese, dips. All at reasonable prices There is no seating inside(straight up deli), but there are a few small tables outside I’m a big fan! I don’t want to get too excited, but I hope after a few trips, and I try some more items, I can bump this place up to 5 stars.
