Best deli in town!!! Specials are creative and always tasty! Just found out they deliver, and my life hasn’t been the same… Chicken cutlet sandwiches are my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Thanks guys !

I thought it was just me that was experiencing poor service! I put up with it because the food is good, but no longer, I will be going elsewhere unless they decide to send this lady to an attitude adjustment course. I don’t presume to know what her problems are and why she acts like that, however we all deal with our problems and it’s up to us to keep it out of the workplace instead of projecting that misery onto customers.

My poor rating is solely focused on the older woman/owner poor attitude and complete lack of appreciation for paying customers. I generally do not complain but refuse to feel like its bothering someone to order a sandwich star deli. She barely opens her frowned lips enough to say the price of your purchase let alone a thank you or have a nice day. Don’t get me wrong the food is very good but I hope this person goes out of buisness. Also understand this wasn’t merely a once or twice experience. I’ve been to Angelo’s Deli about ten times for lunch and always get the same nasty attitude. I will be sticking with some more customer friendly small buisneses in the area(i.e.Espositos, Avelinos, Sorentos, Cammarata’s, Tutto Fresco). Too bad as I really do enjoy the food but refuse to give such a miserable person my hard earned money…

Enjoyed a chicken cutlet sandwich today called the Salerno. Fresh sautéed broccoli rabe with sun dried tomatoes and provolone cheese. Chips and an Ice tea and I’m a Happy Camper… Thanks Angelo’s! :)

Went to this deli about 4 times. Noticed the counter help was not too friendly, but whatever. My last visit I watched the old lady who works in the front serve and sample salads that are on display behind the counter… weird that she was eating in front of costumers but I could get past that… However it gets worse. She went back for seconds with the same fork that she had been eating with. Stay away from those salads on display … I couldn’t even believe my eyes. Last time I go back there, absolutely disgusted. It’s a shame because their sandwiches are pretty good. Next time I want a sandwich. I will be at sorrentos or great wazu

The food is amazing. I rave about everything I get there on my fb account a few times a week. This place is the best deli around.

Solid choice for a good sandwich in East Hanover. I have eaten lunch at Angelo’s a few times now and have had a good experience each time. My favorite sandwich is the chicken cutlet«almafi.» Breaded or grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and sautéed broccoli rabe on crusty semolina bread. Everything here is homemade and delicious, including the fresh mozzarella. Angelo’s will continue to be a top choice for lunch when I’m the East Hanover area.

What a hidden gem this is! Had the chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe and their homemade mozzarella. One word– delicious!!! The mozzarella was some of the best I have ever tasted and the chicken was cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. There was a problem with their fountain soda machine but we let the manager know and she took immediate action and fixed it for us. Even though it’s not close to home I will definitely be back!

I love their chicken cutlet sandwich, Amalfi-style. Also, their fresh mozzarella is made in house and is the best around! Finally, the homemade soups they offer are delicious. Keep up the great work!

Glad sue renovated and reopened! The mozzarella is homemade and amazing!!! The sammiches are fresh and tasty to say the least. I have never had an issue with bad service, my order taking too long or my orders being wrong. Try the grilled chicken with fresh mozz and broccoli rabe… awesome!!!

I was hoping that Angelo’s would become my neighborhood go to spot as I live within walking distance to the deli. I’ve ordered and picked up all of my orders since I started coming to the new location. Unfortunately, Angelo’s has fallen short. This past weekend, I went in and ordered two items for lunch. I chose the chicken cheesesteak sandwich and meatball parm entrée. My fiancé was craving garlic bread and this entrée includes it for an extra $ 2. I checked to make sure the garlic bread was placed in the bag, it was not. I informed the older woman(I’m pretty sure she is the owner?) that the garlic bread was not included. She gave me a look, walked to the back threw in a piece of bread and gave it to me. I didn’t notice this was regular bread until I got back home. My issue with Angelo’s is mainly with the customer service. It is spotty to say the least. The younger woman is very friendly. However, I’ve had far too many negative experiences with the older woman. She is just not pleasant and this definitely translates back to their food. It was my mistake straying from Sorrento’s Bakery and Giulietta & Romeo Pizzeria on Eagle Rock. I wanted so badly to give Angelo’s a shot but time and time again their customer service has ruined it for me. Sorrento’s has far better cold cut sandwiches and their bread has that nice crunch on the outside with a soft inside. For an amazing chicken parm or meatball parm sandwich go to Giulietta & Romeo. You will not be disappointed! Plus both these spots are friendly every single time, no matter how busy they are.

This is a great Italian deli! This deli has been here for years and has just recently been renovated! The staff is super friendly and their food is what you would remember grandma cooking on Sundays. Anyways, I tried their rice balls last week and they were amazing. This is a must try in east hanover.

I have been coming here on the recommendation from co-workers who love the sandwiches and hot lunch choices. The fresh cooked breaded chicken cutlets are my family’s favorite and I buy them at least once a week. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, the service is very good. I like shopping at local deli’s and restaurants, they recognize you and it keeps the neighborhood and economy flowing! BRAVO!

Although the new renovations are beautiful and the food looked appetizing, I found myself waiting for a simple half sub for a half hour. It was not crowded enough for the long wait. Then if it wasn’t bad enough, they got my order wrong. This happened after I had told them twice. Also, a couple hours later a relative of mine received the same slow service and another order mess up. The food was okay; however, there’s too much competition around the area for me to settle for this deli again.

The best deli in Morris County! Everything is freshly made and reasonably priced. The staff is so friendly and willing to accomodate.
