The Hedges is completely charming and quaint. The staff is very friendly. The common areas and rooms are immaculately clean. The rooms are pretty simple and the room I had was small, but it was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast is really creative and flavorful each day. My only complaint is that it should be served just a little later. I was coming from the West Coast and breakfast from 8 – 9:30 for me is really 5 – 6:30am so I was groggy and had to drag myself down there. I get that it’s a small business and they can’t offer it all day but even an extra hour would be really helpful. Overall, I would stay here again. I felt at home.

We had the pleasure of staying at the inn last week and I will say that it was the best breakfast I’ve had. The 3 course meal of figs, Parmesan eggs and waffles wears phenomenal. I loved the assortment of fruits, granola, muffins and the fresh OJ was amazing. Ann orders coffee from Starbucks but I promise you that it was the freshest coffee I’ve ever had. Overall, the stay was wonderful and the meal was incredible. Highly recommend the inn for your East Hampton trip. Breakfast is complimentary and will be one of the best meals you’ve ever had. The kitchen staff is graceful and super helpful. You won’t regret your stay.

We arrived at the Hedges Inn with our daughter for a long weekend. Yea, I know probably not the best idea for a baby but it was worth it given the convenience being in East Hampton! We loved the old home and the recent renovations. I felt this place was clean, well kept and not crusty like some old B&Bs. The rooms were decent, but not so beautiful. The bathrooms are white with modern tiles and clear glass shower doors. There is a nice sun porch with a large covered awning, hammock on the lawn and a gazebo. The bar has a great cocktail list and small wine offering. It has limited hours. Breakfast was a show every morning… granola, corn muffins with honey baked into a honeycomb shape, croissants, fresh grapefruit juice and orange juice. They also offered a three course brunch in addition to the spread of typical baked goods and fruit. Every day there is a new 3 course special. Do not miss this, especially since it’s the only meal they offer. They do have various snacks, candies and cookies set out in the afternoon. I had a chance to peek at the kitchen from a distance since they do not allow guests here, which I completely understand. It was immaculate, clean and well managed. Given that we are feeding a 4 month old, the bottle situation was very difficult without a microwave or a mini-fridge. You are not allowed to bring your own beer to put in the community fridge either. If you have medicine, you cannot keep it in the fridge. So if you have specific needs such as these, this may not be the best place for you. There is a bag drop out front and with a baby, there is a lot to carry. After being parked out there for 30 minutes, we were already reminded to move. There is a sign that reads«bag drop» and we weren’t planning on abusing the privilege. I also asked if I could get a breakfast to-go box for my husband while he was playing golf and was discouraged from bringing a cinnamon roll to our room. Given the amount of money we paid to spend three nights here, this was a little disheartening. They run a very tight ship here but could stand to loosen the reigns a bit to better accommodate their guests’ needs.

Loved it. Visiting the Hamptons from time to time I stay at many different places. By far this was my favorite. It’s cozy, comfortable, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I liked my room and it looked remodeled and taken very care of. I also enjoyed the evening sweets set beside my bed and the morning breakfast was well presented and tasty. The common areas were quiet and a great place to crack a book. I would definitely stay here again.

I called The Hedges to make a reservation and spoke to Ann. Ann was very helpful and friendly. Ann spent the time with me to talk about all the rooms she had at the hotel and explained them in great detail. As it turns out I could not make the trip work out for June, however I will defiantly use them again when I am back in town.

I just spent the weekend at the Hedges Inn and had a wonderful time. Carol was so friendly and helpful, she made us feel right at home. The Inn was very clean and well appointed, including Bulgari bath products and Godiva chocolates –both nice little touches. Breakfast included a cold buffet and full hot service menu, which I have to say was excellent. The only reason I deducted a star was the room we had was in the back and found it to be quite noisy(there was a constant noise — similar to a hum — possibly from a heating/cooling unit). However, given our short visit and nice common areas, we enjoyed our stay!
