Was really hoping to have a good experience since I brought friends from out of town, and the menu looked pretty ambitious for the Hamptons, but it just did not work out. The good: We got there for sunset which was quite beautiful that evening, and the space itself is quite attractive. Our server was gracious, and well meaning. The portions are generous. The rest: One of the most uncoordinated kitchens I have yet to experience. Food was brought out in a random, schizo order. One of us got two courses brought upfront, one got one, and the others got nada. We sent it back, and it came out wrong again. Then the steamed lobster came out of the kitchen grilled. Lots of apologies,(and a bit of embarassment) but that does not cut it. The food: Had a great grilled octopus app. Flounder entrée a bit overcooked, but it was ok. Had the papardelle with lobster and asked our server upfront if it had a reasonable amount of lobster(it didn’t). He answered in the affirmative, but more sadly the papardelle was grievously overcooked and mushy. I did have a bit of a warning on this papardelle dish, since a few tables away a customer left uneaten most of their order. We all left rather disappointed, unfortunately.

Where to begin. I wish I ate the leftover pizza in the fridge. Sure, the pizza was cold. It was 5 days old. It lost all flavor. Still would have been better than the seafood chowder I was served. 3 lonely mussels in a watery broth. If it came from a Campbell’s soup can, i might not have been disappointed… but i sure wouldn’t have bought a second can. My wife’s appetizer. BBQ shrimp. 4 of em. $ 20. Rubber. Came in the shell and lacked any flavor. Our entrees, the flounder, and tuna(each around $ 35) were edible, but not noteworthy in any way. I signed up for Unilocal becuase i wanted to warn people to stay away

Wonderful setting but food wasn’t! Sunset was unbelievable. Do not order the soft shell crabs.

Loved it last year. Although early in the season, The food was quite disappointing. Much better off at Garbour Bistro.

This place is as good as it gets. Beautiful views, elegant ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Despite the hectic pace of the night(I was here for a private party), he found time to visit each table and greet guests, soliciting feedback on dishes and explaining their ingredients with humility and charm. Don’t do yourself the disservice of skipping the tuna tartare. While this is primarily a seafood restaurant, the prime rib is not to be missed. And the flourless chocolate cake was a sweet end to the night. Bartenders pour them stiff. Plan accordingly.

Came here for a party on a busy Saturday night. The waiters were great — helpful and patient. I need to eat gluten-free and they found out the info on ingredients for me even though they were super busy. Tuna tartare appetizer was good. Had layers of tuna and avocado with a yummy spicy mayo sauce. Loved my entrée: pan seared striped bass, lots of perfectly cooked fresh veggies, and a fabulous sauce. I was scooting my fish all around my plate to get every last drop of that sauce! Flourless chocolate cake with mint gelato was sooo good! We had such a fun time at the party… good food, great view, lots of fun energy in the restaurant — what’s not to like?!

Dining at this restaurant should be a requirement for all of those who are lucky enough to find themselves enjoying East Hampton during the summer months. Andrra’s food, its vista, and its lively atmosphere lend it with an air of relaxed and uncomplicated refinement. On both of my trips to the restaurant, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the food, the service, and the beauty of the space as well as the neighboring Bay. While I’d recommend anything on the menu, I’d definitely repeat my order of the delicately prepared Branzino. Everything brought to our table was fresh and tasty; much of it being locally sourced. After a visit from both owners, my family and I were sold. Dining at Andrra is definitely becoming a tradition.

We were a party of two and called the day before for Saturday night reservations. They were booked but went out of the way to accommodate us and booked us at 9:00 pm. We arrived at 8 to take advantage of the views and have drinks at the lounge. They were very welcoming. The service in the lounge area was stellar. Even though it was a busy night the waitress was in constant communication with us getting us a menu bringing our drinks and checking on us every so often. The dj was playing some amazing music and the vibe was just so right that we decided to have our Dinner at the lounge. My bronzino was not perfect but was enjoyable. The tuna tartare was also delicious. The food does not wow but the collective experience is really pleasurable. The service was excellent even for a busy night. Will go back again.

First visit lovely meal. Second visit awful. Food indelible . Every friend who has gone there has had the same experience. It is a stone’s throw from our house but will never return. F. Fisher

I really wanted to love this place as the location and ambience are beautiful. Unfortunately the kitchen and service are horrific and not worth the frustration. Waited an hour for appetizers then they brought the entrees at the same time as the appetizers. Waiter never came to check on us so we could order more drinks. Food was okay nothing extraordinary. Seems like others who have reviewed have had the same experience. General Manager or maybe he was the owner was really nice. I feel bad for the guy. I think he just can’t get good staff because the Hamptons is so expensive to live in the summer.

Worst restaurant experience i have had in 29yrs. 1.5hour wait for entrée. Specific request for no seafood in pasta due to allergy and the plate arrived with a giant lobster claw in it. Sous-chef threatened to beat up one of our guests. View is great, but not worth it to be treated so poorly.

we were deeply disappointed by our experience there on June 23rd– we had come to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and we choose the restaurant because of the beautiful sunsets(not disappointing) the fact that it was located on a road i grew up on and the promise of delicious lobsters. We envisioned a concerned staff, a romantic atmosphere and most of all the lobsters. Well, the atmosphere as frantic and very loud, the wait staff couldn’t give a damn what we were celebrating and the very worst of all you were out of two lb lobster by 7:45– offering only a 3lb at an outrageous $ 75– at the very least you should have offered that to us at the 2lb price A sad restaurant indeed thank you susan gardner

The location is great for sunsets and I would definitely go back for a drink, but the food was totally overpriced($ 15 for 3 tiny slices of raw fish, a platter of assorted appetizers featured literally a tablespoon of hummus and one stuffed clam). The waiters don’t know what they are doing and came out looking confused and asking where to set down plates. I felt ripped off. Also the Rose have me a headache. Great view, but have dinner elsewhere.

My wife and I visited Andrra this past weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. We went Friday night for the happy hour clams special(12 clams for $ 6) and wound up staying for dinner. We were able to eat dinner in the lounge area which was very nice. Our waitress was also very nice and helped to make the whole evening quite enjoyable. In fact, the clams were so good we came back again Saturday evening for another round of fresh clams before heading off to other social engagements.

Summertime has officially started with this past Memorial Day weekend. One of the new hotspots that just opened that we visited this weekend was Andrra in the old Boathouse space. Went with a bunch of friends and we just had some snacks and drinks. The oysters were fresh and delicious, the crabcakes and baked clams were also amazing. All our cocktails were super strong. The music was awesome, the location is beautiful, the owners and staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Andrra is sure to become a mainstay this summer!
