I’m starting to suspect there’s a law in the Town of East Greenwich that requires every child resident to have at least one birthday party at Aim High. We’ve only been here a year, and our children have been to at least half a dozen Aim High parties in that time. And we’ve hosted one, too. When in Rome, right? Anyway, on to the review. I have such mixed feelings about these parties. The facility is quite large, and the kids have a great time when they are on the floor with the instructors. They get lots of good exercise running and jumping and attempting cartwheels. That part of the experience is five stars, no question. However, the party structure brings it down to three stars. The parties tend to work like this: the kids get some time running and jumping in the gym, they come out for cake, then they go back into the gym for more running and jumping before they go home. That middle«come out for cake» stretch is way too long, and there is nothing else for these children to do while they wait. The kids are not allowed back in the gym until the specified time when the instructors come to get them; it’s usually on the order of 30 minutes, maybe a little longer. But it takes most kids all of 10 minutes to plow through a slice of pizza and a piece of cake, and since they’re going to run around some more, you don’t want them eating much more than that anyway! So you’re left with a bunch of amped up kids who have nothing else to do, trying to burn time for 20 minutes until they are allowed in the gym again. And worse, the Aim High staff is completely uninvolved with the party during the«come out for cake» process. I’ve hosted birthday parties at many venues in a few different states over the years, and someone from the venue ALWAYS participates in the process, and usually throws in a cute birthday song and passes out juice boxes. This not only keeps the process efficient, it keeps the kids in line. It’s unusual that the folks at Aim High think this part of the birthday party is not their concern at all, even though it’s happening in their building. That all said, the kids always enjoy Aim High parties. I wouldn’t say«stay away!» But just be warned — if you’re hosting, you’re going to have some time to fill.

Can you say RUDE! Went there with my 2 year old for open gym on friday morning the lady at the front desk was so rude & miserable. Talk about horrible customer service. And these people deal with kids… horrid. as we were leaving we said thanks twice totally ignored & never acknowledged us. Definitely all set with this place!!!

I just love Aim High. My 2 daughters are in the Gymnastics program and they have flourished as a result.

The only time I have been to Aim High is for birthday parties and it was a great time. The kids were happy and enjoyed running around for 2 hours. The girls who helped with the party kept all the kids happy and entertained and that is not an easy job with a room full of 6 year olds. My only suggestions is that there would be more places for the parents to sit and watch as the young ones run around and party it up. If you are planning a party this is a great option!

Can I give negative stars? The woman who answers the phone was incredibly rude. Folks need to remember that the person who answers the phone represents the business.

Aim High Academy.. . AMAZING!!! This gym is the best of the best!!! Gymnastics, dance, cheer, martial arts, early learning center, café.. . what more could you ask for in one building?! The business boasts a gigantic facility off of South County Trail in East Greenwich, RI and is not lacking in the vibrancy, enthusiasm, and energy it takes to run a place like this. Immediately upon entering you are drawn into the sights and sounds of excited children, talkative parents, music drifting between the gym and dance studio, etc. Having been a competitive gymnast at Aim High for 4+ years, I have nothing but praise for the staff and coaches that make this place what it is. It’s not just about the sport here.. . there is a strong dedication to the value of learning(not just new physical skills) but life experience, teamwork, and responsibility. No matter the age of the child or activity, a sense of nurturing sprouts to feelings of confidence and self worth. State of the art facility: The gymnasium, in actuality is two gyms put together. 2 gymnastics floors, several sets of beams, bars, and 2 vaults. Complete with trampolines, foam pits, and every safety and spotting mat imaginable. If you are thinking about this place for gymnastics or cheer.. . all it takes is one look into the gym. For visitors to Aim High, the gym is lined with large viewing windows, a second floor for seating that looks down on the gym, a café with coffee and treats, and a pro shop to peruse while classes are in session. Through the competitive gymnasts eye, you could not ask for a better facility to train in or coaches to work with. I highly recommend Aim High Academy to anyone interested in what they have to offer. Hands down!!!
