I am never too impressed with the customer service here and here is why. It’s easy to ask questions but it’s hard to close a purchase. As someone who used to work in retail there was nothing like hearing someone say«I want this, and I would to pay.» This translates to «Close the sale.» My problem is everytime I am ready to pay they are consulting another customer, talking to me about additional products, telling me I should sign up for more emails, and I am thinking to myself«Are you the Jehovah Witnesses of Makeup?» Why did I have to stand on line for 20 minutes just to purchase one product? Sometimes I wish I had a pretentious attitude and started making remarks. Don’t get me wrong they have great products but I never could understand how it takes so long to buy to a product in a store with 3 people in it.

I don’t understand why there are bad reviews. I’ve tried all different types of makeup and always keep coming back to bareminerals. That being said, I wanted everything new. Jamel was AMAZING. I felt so comfortable in the store chatting, and figuring out which shades and products are best for my skin. The colors he suggested were perfect, he explained how he applied the makeup to appear as though I had none on. He didn’t push any products on me to buy, he asked what I wanted and needed and gave his suggestions. I highly recommend coming to this store for any of your bareminerals needs. Thank you Jamel!

Love this store. Jen, the manager is awesome. Does a great makeover. Very informative. All 3 of my daughters had makeovers by Jen. People constantly ask«what did you do different you look so good!» All of the girls there are very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend and will be going back once they need more!

First let me say that the product is great and all my previous experiences with BE’s consultants have been great at this boutique! However, I went there on black Friday to introduce a friend to the product and had an unprofessional and rude consultant assist us. We were already there and I just wanted my friend to get help with the right color and how it feels on her skin. This rep named Shantal(average to tall height, slender, light skinned african american girl with lots of acne) was very unprofessional. I was standing near my friend and she said«you can leave now miss, i hate when they do that». I understand everyone has pet peeves but, she could have kindly asked for me to step to the side. Also, she said she could not put the mineral foundation all over my friend because the boutique would get busy. I noted that it was not busy nor were her fellow co-workers working with any other customers. Let’s get real… no one was interested in buying make-up that day, that it would be so «busy». Anyways, she tested a portion of my friend’s face so we could not see the true results. She was suppose to do the whole face like a normal BE consultant would do. Also, my friend is not a blush fan, Shantal never informed my friend of the wide variety of products which are included in the flawless complexion kit such as, the different types of radiances which can be used as a substitute. Shantal made it only seem like blush was the only product to be included and basically forced my friend to pick a blush. I felt at this point online would have been the better option. When my friend got home she discovered it was not her color and has to go back to the store to return it. She could have had the same hassle, if not less online. I am not saying for Shantal to be fired but she should at least be reprimanded. She will make BE lose business because that day they had buy $ 100 worth of products and get $ 20 off. I was going to buy more products at BE giving them more sales but because of Shantal’s nasty attitude and lack of knowledge of the products I declined to purchase anything further. I would give the sale to the right person. HOWDO I KNOWMORETHANYOUANDYOUARE A BECONSULTANT? its just mind-boggling.

I was shocked to go on here and see a bad review about this place! I’ve been coming here for years and everyone here is so nice! They go out of their way to offer product suggestions and have extensive product knowledge which is more than I can say about places like Sephora, Macys, and Ulta who sell similar products. Every time I go in there I’m literally there for 30 mins + talking to the consultants who are so patient and love helping you put together for your look. I personally love Jamel — he always offers the best advice and is so customer friendly, my interactions with him feel like I’m hanging out with one of my friends and not a salesperson. Each person’s experience is going to be different but I’ve never had a bad interaction here no matter who my consultant is for the day.

It’s true that people won’t write nice stuff and will make the concerted efforts to express their unhappiness with things. I guess I am of no different– I’ve always LOVED Bare Escentuals’ products, this review is not to target their products but it’s awful service! I went in there yesterday and I wanted to get a few products that I’ve been meaning to try, on top of what I’ve been using for years– their foundation. Now I’ve been a Manhattanite my whole entire life, «bad service» is not new to me, as places are always busy and packed; however, there was NOONE in there but three(3) girls who worked there. The one girl who did helped me might as well not– she was just not helpful, rude and at the end of the day, didn’t help. I wish I had checked to make sure I got my receipt so I can have the name of the girl, she was a hispanic, shoulder length hair girl. It wasn’t a good experience and it’s such a shame that they represent such great products. I would recommend you going to other Bare Escentual shops and not this one. PS she also didn’t give me my free product that goes along with a purchase. I’m sure it wasn’t because she was ‘too busy’ to do so, as I was the only customer there. Laziness would be the word, or carelessness. I hate to be so critical towards sales people, as I am one myself, but I feel like as a shop owner, I’d like to know when my employees are misbehaving or misrepresenting my company’s reputation.
