Good food but the laziest and most don’t GAF attitude I have seen. I’ve eaten here prob a dozen times over past 3 years, and EVERY time the challenge of getting their staff to serve you is deplorable. They hang out together at the end of the bar and never look to see if customers want anything. 100% of time you have to ask for everything. If the owner cares, you have a crew that I assume must be your relatives because nobody that professionally runs a restaurant would keep any of this team employed.

Mediocre overpriced stale food. Service is ok. It’s the last option for non packaged food before your very delayed flight

I am surprised to see all of the negative reviews. I have enjoyed eating at this restaurant for the last 10 years. They usually make a vegan pizza for me. When my mom is in town, she joins me and we have both enjoyed it. My food has always been fresh and the service has been good.

You don’t have much to select from when looking for a pre-security bite to eat at LaGuardia. This place definitely looks the best and has a sprawling bar and big seating area that takes up a big space in the food court. The menu offers up panini’s, flatbreads and some other Italian based offerings. I ordered a flatbread that wasn’t terrible but did leave a lot to be desired. I guess I just expect more anytime I’m in New York. I felt they were charging near NYC type prices for lesser quality food(wines were $ 9 a glass, entrees were in the $ 12-$ 20 range)…but I guess they can get away with it when your other choices are the over the counter chinese joint and the super over rated Five Guys(among other chain establishments).

Disappointed as it seems that Chef English has totally sold out. Love the environment and don’t get me wrong, Figs has improved Laguardia, which is just not a very nice airport. I ordered the«Garganelli» Pasta which sounded nice. Nice hand rolled little noodle tubes. Yummy, right. What I got was box Penne Rigate in a bland white bean sauce. Had to dump salt, pepper and chile flakes all over it to make it taste ok. Asked for Parmesan and was told«it’s already on there». Yeah, maybe a teaspoon of Kraft green can parm. Todd, you disappoint me.

Figs is a place with seated waiter service or service at Bar. Mix of Pizza, Italian Entrees, Salads, Soup, Paninis, and full bar. Located in food court in the Main Terminal B(American, United, Southwest, Virgin, Jet Blue, Air Canada). It’s OUTSIDE security. Spacious seating, 40 seats at bar, many tables. Pizza takes 10 – 15 min(so plan accordingly if your flight is soon!) Generally solid food, and friendly servers. Bar has 6TV’s. They rated an A in NYC Health Department cleanliness ratings. I always check that.(No A… No Way!) If you have time, check it out.

The guy who wrote the business plan for Figs focused on three things: Location, location and location. Let’s face it, a bar is a bar is a bar. Unless they have generous pouring tendencies there is nothing special about a bar. What makes a place stand out is the bar scene and the food. Being half decent in either of these certainly make a place a big win in the airport setting. Too bad neither of these is Figs’ strong suit. The bar, though full, was pin drop quiet. They had about four beers on tap and another six or so bottled beers. Top shelf liquor was missing as was a quality selection of wine. I has a single glass of what they were pouring for the house cabernet and then switched to ginger ale. For dinner, I ordered typical pub food, chicken strips and fries, about $ 12. I seriously would have gotten better food at a fast food place. Chicken strips are large pieces but look like they were fried I old oil with sediment still afloat. The choice for sauces, ranch or honey mustard. Any wing place or even Friendly’s has more selection. The fries typical no-frills warehouse club variety. Nothing looked appetizing from all the dishes I saw arrive at my fellow diners. Not sure why, cost cutting or lack of facilities everything was served on disposable plastic plates(gee, I hoped they disposed of then when I was done). The wine and soda were saved in glass but everything was a disposable, just bleh. I wish I could say they are an OK spat for a quick airport bite, but I can’t. It’s not OK to serve this low quality food on plastic plates at these prices. But hey, if you’ve got a good location…

One of the worst places to eat. Avoid at all costs. Got a sandwich that was«toasted.» My lukewarm sandwich was bland and attached to directly to the tin foil so half of one of the slices of bread completely fell apart. And it was bland, did I mention that already? A caprese should be more than a cheese sandwich. The use of an onion roll was an interesting choice as well. Run away. There should be a chick fil a in every terminal of every airport.

I got a flat bread pizza and a cup of tea. It had a crispy texture loaded with cheese. Just wished it was fresh and not the cold ones reheated. They had a bar which was possibly the quietest(not in a good way) bar I had ever seen. In fact a guy who walked in ask the server if there is any ‘restaurant restaurant’ close by.

Despite buying food at the deli of Figs, the bar tender made a scene about me wishing to sit at the bar because i wasn’t buying a drink. Wait — i just dropped cash at your deli and you’re giving me a hard time. Rest of the place was full. No seat. What a jerk. Food was poor. World Cup soccer on TV was something good.

If you’re flying American at la guardia, eat before u get to the airport unless u like burnt coffee, worn out grumpy attendants who don’t wear gloves, smile and who eat food while handling YOUR food. Nasty.

All of the food in this terminal is sub-par. I would highly recommend grabbing a bite before security as there are more viable options if you have some time to kill. It seems that all of the food was pre-made or just warmed up. The only thing good here would be the 5 or so beers they have on tap and a decent bar fix.

I just ordered a Bloody Mary. What did I get? A $ 10.34 nicely garnished glass of tomato juice with some vodka splashed in.

I came here to rest and kill some time after a flight in from Colorado. I wasn’t that hungry but knew I needed to east something, so I ordered the crabcakes and some white zinfandel. The crabcakes were mediocre –soggy and made from imitation meat. You can’t make crabcakes with imitation meat! The wine was good though, and the staff was friendly and attentive. But I’m sure there are better places to eat around here.

Scene: You’re at the airport, craving one beer before your flight. You dash in to Figs to notice that they have a nice assortment if beers on tap(including Stella Artois) and in the bottle(including Corona). The bartendar smiles and quickly serves you. You drink it quickly as though it’s the end of days. You pay, you run out and make it to your gate just as they begin to page your name. Cut! Hey, at least you had beer. And they have a station for food as well, mainly sandwiches.

So if you need to kill some time with a drink waiting for American to decide if your plane will actually ever leave the gate, you could do a lot worse. Most of the comments are pretty much on track, but one thing that I noticed that sets this apart from many airport bars: the beer is cheap. OK, $ 6 for a pint, but for an airport price you could do worse. The server was nice, and there are a lot of cheap munchies on the menu. You’re just killing time, remember that.

If you’ve got the time, it’s a great place to grab a drink. They have a huge beer and liquour selection and the salad I had was very good(something with a lemon dressing). They always have a sports game playing and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. Both times I’ve been the bartender on duty has been nothing but friendly.

This is probably the best place to get food and a drink in this airport and for that it gets the extra star. There’s not many airports that actually have decent restaurants so when comparing this restaurant it just can’t be compared to a regular restaurant. The service was pretty decent despite being the last seated patron of the night. Service was attentive initially and it of course declined being the last ones there. If you’re not wanting to get a drink(alcoholic) then you’re probably better off with food that’s consistent from something like Five Guys. Otherwise this place is your best bet for food + drink.

I’m surprised to see all the negative reviews. My hubby and I sat at the bar here for a few hours because our plane was delayed. The service was a little slow, but definitely worth the wait because the food was really good. I had the chicken noodle soup which was excellent; chunks of white meat, fresh tomatoes, peas and spinach sprinkled with parmesan cheese. I saw several people around me had ordered the bread pudding so I decided to give it a try as well. It wasn’t bad but I’ve definitely had better. My husband has raved for years about their pizzas, which I didn’t get to try this time. I will definitely be back next time I fly out of NYC!
