I’ve been using this cleaners for years ‚& have never experienced any of the problems listed in the other reviews. The manager /owner is always pleasant, as is his staff. They never lost, or ruined, any of my clothes. Prices are competitive to other cleaners in the area. Several times they got out stains, that I thought wouldn’t come out. Tuesdays, bring in three items that are the same type of garment, & one of the items gets cleaned for free. They don’t take American Express, and sadly, they don’t deliver.

This owner/manager of this establishment is one of the most unprofessional and rudest people I have ever met. If I could give this place negative stars, I would as this place is not even worthy of a measly one star. I brought in my 30+ year old oriental blanket to get repaired and cleaned. Since the young lady didn’t know what material the blanket was made from(the tag says mink), she asked, whom I can only assume was the manager or owner to come out and take a look. The owner, from not even a 10 second inspection proceeds to tell me flat out that it’s not made of mink. Now granted, I’m no garment expert, so I would have trusted what he said had he not gone about everything so unprofessionally. He then proceeds to ask a random customer if she thinks it’s mink or not. Number one, she was standing 5 feet away so how could she tell without inspecting it and number two, how would she even know? Is she an expert? It felt like I was being shamed in public for having this blanket which may or may not even be real mink! Again, I’m no expert in garments but I do work for sales at BMW so I know a thing or two about customer service and based on my experience, I would say this whole customer service experience deserves a F– rating. I will never give this establishment one cent of my hard earned money and I recommend that the owner get his head out of his @ss and really start focusing on what matters which is the customers and not his over inflated ego.

DRESSOWNERSBEWARE! I’ve been going to Summerhill Cleaners for years, and they generally do a very good job cleaning clothes. However, THEYPUTSAFETYPINSTHROUGHSTRAPLESSDRESSES. I brought in a beautiful black and white strapless dress for dry-cleaning 7 years ago, and once I got it back I put it in my closet. The point of dry-cleaning a nice dress is the freedom to put it away and have it in excellent condition when you open it again, whenever that is(imagine if this were a wedding dress?!!). When I opened the bag I found that there were safety pins through the body of the dress, right on the cups and they had RUST and caused both sizable holes and rust stains on both the white part and the black part of my dress. When I brought this to the attention of the dry cleaner, the owner wasn’t present, but his daughter and another employee was. The daughter reprimanded me for having stored the dress for so long and rolled her eyes. I didn’t walk in angry, I just walked in looking for a solution. She assured me her father would call me 3 days later. He never called. So I called back and the employee said that he was working on it, she took my number and name again and still no phone call. So I called and he picked up the phone. He said he was working on the dress and said that I must have done something to make the pins rust. Then he went on to say that he was working on it and received no message to call me. I asked him not to put a pin through my dress and he said«If there is away you can show me to pin the dress without putting a pin through it, then show me.» His sarcasm and rudeness was so unnecessary. I do have a solution for him. There are loops on the inside of the dress. A perfect place for pins. And if a dress doesn’t have loops, the pins could go on the underside of the fabric and not through the body. I suppose I will have to show him. I don’t mind that there was an error, but he took it very personally and he and his daughter were very nasty. Relax people, these are solvable issues. No need to be so defensive. My continued business depends on their behavior when i pick up the dress. But I don’t imagine that they will gain any sense of decorum or professionalism in that time. Not everyone, or every business, has enough distance from themselves to apologize.

My lady has me running her dry cleaning back and forth now. I wish she would go back to wearing scrubs. At least I get some free Dum Dums out of it. A-OK
