They have Mango Lassi in their menu. That is your cue to know that this isn’t an authentic«Thai» Restaurant. While I have nothing ‘bad’ to say about this place, I have nothing great to say about it either. I find the menu lack’s authenticity as a «Thai restaurant» when majority of the items in their menu are an amalgamation of several other cultures. Cute interior, friendly staff and clean place.

Meh. Not an authentic Thai place. Miserably fails the basic Tom Yum, Pad Thai, FBI tests. Food is overspiced, could be a hangover from the earlier Indian restaurant that was In its place. Pad Thai was very sour, possibly from bottled sauce. Having said that the whole Red Snapper fry was fresh & crispy & a saving grace.

I get take out a lot, and this was the first time my wife and kids couldn’t stomach the meal leaving me to scramble to get something else to eat! Ordered chicken satay, salmon stick, pad thai with beef, coriander garlic and chicken glass noodle. Where do I begin? Chicken satay was 4 dried pieces of meat, and peanut sauce was watery and was scant in peanut flavor. Salmon stick is salmon wrapped in crispy crêpe and dipping sauce was florescent green thai sauce! Not good. Couldn’t make out the flavors of that concoction. Coriander garlic chicken was a coriander flavored brown sauce with dried chicken pieces, she glass noodle was ok except for the fact all i could taste was lime with a hint of chili. Pad thai was some matted mess of noodles with bean sprout and tofu. It tasted horrible! The beef was mushy and had a weird taste and consistency. This place is no bueno. Prices weren’t horrible but the food was almost inedible! I gave two stars because it’s hard for me to give any establishment one star. The restaurant would have to be the pits for that to happen. The server was nice and décor was good, but that would not be enough for me to try it again. My rating is in the minority here, so take it for what it’s worth. At least don’t order anything i ordered.

It’s in the center across from the Acura dealership. I believe it used to be an Indian restaurant now turned Thai but still have some Indian flavors in their dishes. Food is very good and presentation of the dishes are delightful to the eye as well. Service has been good as well, highly recommend trying this place.

This place is one of those hidden gems you hear about mostly though word-of-mouth. Couple of friends raved about the lovely food and this place didn’t disappoint. The appetizers are okayish but the entrees are all wonderful. I’ve been here twice in a month and would keep going back. This place is popular now so expect a bit of wait period. Service is fantastic and the owner is gracious!

Delicious. Every time that I eat there, all I can say is Delicious. The Chili Beef is one of our favorites along with the Papaya Salad. If I could(without freaking out my family and fellow diners), I would have to lick the dishes clean. On a normal night, the service is very good. On a very busy weekend, the service slows down and the wait For a table can be long. Not the restaurants fault, just there popularity. Still, this is oe of my favorite places to go.

I’ve been a few times. I love the Green Curry and the Hakka Noodles. The dinner prices are reasonable. The lunch prices are great. It’s our new go-to Thai place in the neighborhood.

This is the place to get Thai in East Brunswick. Whether it’s ordering takeout or waiting an hour to get seated, my family has eaten here several times. The black pepper chicken, drunken noodles and basil fried rice are all awesome. But the best dish by far is the coconut shrimp curry. It comes in an actual coconut with whole shrimp hanging over the edge as a garnish. It is very mild and super flavorful, and has pieces of soft cooked coconut in the curry that melts in your mouth. The best part is if you order it to go, they give you the entire coconut wrapped in Saran Wrap! You can still get the restaurant experience at home. To finish, the dessert my family and I dream about(not kidding) — coconut fried ice cream. It’s vanilla ice cream, with a fried crust piled with flakes of coconut, chocolate sauce and a decorative solid chocolate garnish. It comes warm and is absolutely amazing. To go, they give it in a nice plastic container and ask for a specific time of arrival so the ice cream doesn’t melt. Talk about great service!

I’m at a loss for how this place has such high reviews on Unilocal.Don’t get me wrong — it’s not bad. In fact, it’s decent. But it’s definitely not the best or even in the top 5 for best thai restaurants in the area. I’ve been here several times just because of the convenience of location, and each time the experience has been a solid 2.5 star experience. The food is ok, but it is sometimes a little too heavy-handed with the sauces and salt. The service is slow. The portions are meh. For the best Thai, you have to venture outside of East Brunswick… Highland Park’s Pad Thai restaurant comes to mind.

Our first time here. The restaurant was full. The Tom Yum Kung soup was good, although ordered with mild spice was quite hot. The spring rolls were quite good. The chicken pad Thai was a bit wet, though tasty. Both the soup and pad Thai were missing any flavor of lime, which is a common ingredient. The Thai ice tea was weak and watery. The service was quite good.

N Thai Palace is single handedly the best Thai restaurant not only in East Brunswick, but in general. The owner, Syed, is the most genuine person you will ever meet in your life, no joke. He has a passion for his food and his business and has a modest, friendly personality. Besides the wonderful owner, the thai food is delicious. I myself am a vegetarian and love the drunken noodles with vegetables and tofu. You must pair it up with the vegetable spring rolls for your app. It states on the menu and the owner will always tell you that any meal can be made vegetarian. I frequent this restaurant with my husband and friends who always order the drunken noodles with beef or the chili fish. However, the whole red snapper is an absolute must. This is a meal you order to impress. My husband never, ever eats soup except for at N Thai Palace. He loves the roast corn with chicken soup. They always have specials during the week for half price– ladies night for entrees on Tuesdays, student night and I believe a senior night. This is 100% the restaurant that I wanted to review first because it’s my absolute favorite.

7 word review: Very good food. Service not so great. Unilocal doesn’t like short reviews and posts them as ‘tips’. With this added sentence it now qualifies as a review.

I took my mom out for dinner for her birthday and based on reviews I thought it would be a great decision. Authentic, great décor, and full house(though luckily only a five minute wait!) Except…after 45 minutes of sitting there, we were only served our chicken satay appetizer and a Thai iced tea. People who were seated after us were already finishing their main courses(no exaggeration, I swear). I think they forgot about our order until we mentioned it to a waiter, where from then on out a waiter occasionally stopped by to assure us they were backed up and our food would be out shortly. I had hoped to get a crêpe from the bakery next door, and when I looked at my phone I found it would be closing in ten minutes and rushed outside while my mom told them to make our food to go. Sad thing is, it was just ginger basil chicken – nothing elaborate. When we ate at home it was good, but they forgot some of the added vegetables like mushrooms etc. I’m sure it was an odd occurrence as other people were served quickly, but it was still a huge disappointment for my mothers birthday dinner and ruined the rest of the evenings dinner and dessert plans.

I strolled into this place on Saturday after seeing decent reviews on Unilocal. All in all I think it was a good choice. The food is pretty good(definitely try the appetizer sampler) and I love that that will make your dishes spicy as requested. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and shrimp and although it was a little more«wet» than I usually have my pad thai it was good. The reason this place only gets 3 stars is because of the service. The service was decent at best. When I first arrived I was the only person in the restaurant and the staff just looked at me instead of greeting me and leading me and my friend to a table(I let this slide. I know how it is to have a slow day at work). We eventually sat down and ordered, which was a painless process. At this point more diners came in. At this point the service became slower and slower. There were about 3 employees in the front of the restaurant and 5 tables. You would think it would be easy enough to manage, but it wasn’t. To get attention for something as simple as a refill of water you’d have to flag a waiter down and then hope they come over without stopping somewhere else. I thought maybe the need to flat down wait staff was limited to me, but it wasn’t I heard and saw multiple tables doing the same. This place is definitely worth checking out for the food, but there is much room for improvement when it comes to service.

This is certainly a gem hidden in at strip mall on Route 18. If no one had recommended it to me, I probably would have never set a foot in here. The downside to this place is that the service was downright awful. The waiter forgot about us multiple times! He first brought boxes to pack up the food, but didn’t bother bringing the check. We had to wait awhile to ask for the check. It was crazy. On the bright side the food was phenomenal. I was surprised on how good it was! I orders the chili fish while my parents ordered garlic lamp, grilled lamb, and pinnacle rice. Everything was delicious and was quickly devoured! I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more dishes!

.For my normal Sunday lunch with the family, my group of three(me, big sister, and mom) decided on Thai. N Thai is nestled in a small complex off busy Rt. 18 and right next to a bakery I frequented quite often in the past(Le Crêpe) Let’s get to the food. We ordered the sampler appetizer platter that was very good with two separate spring rolls(veggie and shrimp), satay skewers, and papaya salad coupled with a side serving of four dipping sauces. Both types of spring rolls were crunchy and happily neither over fried nor oily(as can easily be done) with fresh diced vegetables and shrimp in each respective roll. Chicken satay skewers were of equal quality; fresh and nicely seasoned. Papaya salad was my favorite of the four appetizers with a delectable contrast in flavors from what I could taste as lime, fish sauce or vinegar?, and small diced papaya pieces. It was a really refreshing salad, and really worth ordering individually for a larger portion. Tip: My favorite dipping sauce was the green dipping sauce, which I swear tasted like apple, but asking the waiter I was told it was a vinegar based sauce. For my main, I chose the Chili Lamb dish which I ordered«extra hot», being a fan of spicy food and also that most restaurants tend to tame down the heat level for customers. Lamb was a bit of a disappointment as the slices were were pretty lean, albeit still tender, and lacked that hint of gaminess you expect to taste in lamb. It could have used a bit more seasoning as well. The rest of the dish, comprised of a medley of green and red peppers, chili, and onions were good but neither imparted a level of heat nor spiciness I’d expect from Thai food; let alone earning the«extra hot» preference which I had ordered. My sister ordered the Chicken Curry Massaman(Penang), which is more of a Malaysian dish, but trying a couple of spoonfuls of her curry coupled with the brown rice I found it pretty good, but a bit more coconut milk than I would prefer. Mom ordered the Black Pepper Shrimp that was pretty good as well with a fair number of nicely sized shrimps each cooked very well. I had one shrimp(thanks Mom!) and it was fresh and perfectly cooked. However, she found the dish a tad too spicy(she ordered medium spice level) but heat/spice level tolerance is such an individual preference so it’s hard to judge person to person. I wish Unilocal would allow for ½ star ratings, as I would give N Thai a solid 3.5 stars, but considering my relatively high standards for Asian food, I have to give N Thai 3 stars.

N Thai Palace is a really solid strip-mall thai resto which i never would’ve stepped foot into had it not been for my fellow Unilocalers and their great reviews(thanks y’all!!!). seriously, this place is in a small strip mall right off rt. 18 in east brunswick… and the strip mall is more than half-vacant. i would’ve passed it without second thought and missed out on some pretty fab, reasonably priced thai food and super friendly service to boot. our waters were refilled quickly and the food came out very fast. i would’ve missed out on the free thai iced tea with Unilocal check-in(yay!). it was nicely spiced and was a fun bonus for living the #yelplife. i would’ve skipped a heaping portion of yummy chicken pad thai at a very reasonable price. the flavor was average, and i’ll be back to try something else for sure. worst of all, i would’ve spent the rest of forever not knowing the magic of the black pepper chicken. seriously, this entrée is amazing. i got the mild since i’m kind of a baby when it comes to spice, and it was still pretty hot– but in a really, really, realllyyyyy good way. the black pepper flavor is perfect, the chicken is well-marinated and not over-cooked. served with a side of white rice… YUM. oh, all of that for under $ 30? yes, please. we were too full from our meals to order dessert, but i was happy to see my favorite(sticky rice with mango) on the menu. just another reason to come back!
