To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Applebee’s this one was near the hospital in the Bronx. The décor when you walk in, isn’t like the ones I’m used to back in Virginia Beach. It’s a very open space in this restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted and seated, it took a while for our server to come over to us, but when he did, he wasn’t bad, but the exchange for order taking was a little… awkward. My mother ordered the wings with no sauce, and I ordered the Whisky Chicken with vegetables instead of Mashed Potatoes. When the order finally came, we just so happened to be surprised with some family who joined us a the table…
The server asked our new guests if these orders will be «to go» as soon as they sat down. I quickly answered him that they will probably enjoy food here just as we are. He did mention several items they were looking at were on Happy Hour special, so my aunt and her husband ordered wings and a quesadilla. I excused myself to the bathroom and I was surprised at how clean it was.
We stayed for a few more hours and caught up, several times our sever asked if we would like more drinks. There were a few times our glasses was empty and he was nowhere to be found, and we were his only table. Overall, the experience wasn’t the worst, but it’s Applebees, not one of my favorite chains.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy I ate here with my sister and cousins for my sisters birthday and I got food poising I was in the hospital all night. The waiter didn’t come back with my water for half an hour. There was piss all over the floor and our utensils were dirty

I’ve dine here on two occasions and both was for lunch. The first time, my coworker and I waited about 15 minutes to receive our water and place our order. The second time, the service was a lot quicker, less than 5 minutes. The service is very inconsistent here but if you’re going to Applebees, there shouldn’t be much expectations with «good» service.
The food was pretty good, portion size a bit smaller than I remember how Applebees should be. Overall, not a bad place but if you’re tight on time, especially during lunch, I would say to pass on this. Dinner would be a better option.

Love, love, love this place! I enjoy the service, the food and the environment. Once the service was so good, I requested to speak to the manager. I meet a dashing young fellow, named Aaron Owens. He seemed enthused to speak with me. I told him about my experiences and why I enjoyed going to this particular Applebee’s. The minute you get to the door, someone’s there to greet you with a smile. They seat you and take your order efficiently. I’ve spent my one hour lunch breaks there and still have time to find parking at the Hutchinson Towers and get back to work on time. Great location, staff, ambiance, food and patronage! Go Aaron! He’s a fantastic manager. My only regret is not writing this sooner. Can’t wait to go there again… FYI, the margaritas are strong and SWEEEET!

Not a great beginning — the front desk was empty when we walked in so no one greeted us– I turned on my timer, after 1 min a smiling timid young women asked where we wanted to sit then sat us in the back at a huge semi– circular booth which meant we were so far from one another. Another young woman came & took our order, the food arrived in approximately 13 minutes (not bad, considering) it was tasty, hot. The breadsticks were tough, and the Caesar salad was drowned in dressing but other than that it was not too bad– I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt since this is a new location so I’ll say it was fair, but fall’s here & business should pick up so they’d better step up their game– I’ve lambasted eateries for less, but seriously they could do a little better, that said I’d go back to give ‘em another shot.

I mainly patronize this Applebees because it is in close proximity to my job, and therefore the location of various obligatory social gatherings. I had not set foot in an Applebees restaurant in approximately 5 years prior.
The food is decent, particularly the burgers. The menu is typical Applebees fare with pasta dishes, entrée salads, steak, chicken, etc. The food seems to be cooked to order as opposed to the heat and eat I experienced in the past. The prices are a little high, with entrees ranging from about $ 12 to just above $ 20. However, there are lunch specials, typically some pairing of soup, salad, pasta or meat for close to $ 10.
The décor is set up like a sports bar, with mostly rustic-​style wood paneling, pops of color, and big screen TV’s hanging throughout. Two full walls are covered with large windows, allowing a lot of natural light in. There is a bar stationed at the middle of the main floor. Sliding doors create the possibility of a party room. Lastly, there is patio seating towards the back of the restaurant, with umbrellas on the tables, which can be pleasant in the summer, especially when the weather is nice.
The service generally leaves something to be desired. The staff are generally helpful and polite, but they move slowly, whether to take your order, find an extra chair for your party, or to get the check. Management has on occasion offered to comp part of the meal, based on the lousy service, which indicates that they at least mean well.
I was particularly appalled on one recent visit where I watched two employees jump into a car parked directly in front of the outdoor patio, pull out bongs and create a marijuana «smoke box». Whenever someone opened the door, the thick cloud of marijuana smoke billowed into the dining area, where diners, including families with small children were eating. Eventually they drove off.

We welcomed this new addition to the neighborhood. Excellent happy hour specials. It’s never too crowded where your staff is overwhelmed. And the staff is always friendly and happy to see you come in. Parking is great as well.

I was really hoping this would be my new dinner place came on a Sunday empty waitress very nice, food not to good, green bean fries had no sauce, French fries cold and chicken tender overlooked and served warm

I’ve been here twice and both times enjoyed my meals. I chose the 2 for $ 26 special which I think is a great bang for your buck. Not only are you saving some money but the portions are regular size which makes sure I’m full when all is said and done.
As far as recommendations, I enjoyed the French Onion soup and for the main courses the sizzling chicken and shrimp was excellent. I’ve also had the 9 oz. steak that comes with broccoli and mash potatoes and was thoroughly satisfied as well.
Overall I would recommend this AppleBee’s to a friend. Fresh modern ambience, good food and a ton of flat screen Tv’s. If I could suggest a tip for improvement it would be faster service.

A bunch of young adults running the show and doing a pretty decent job at it, well at least customer service-​wise. The hostess Lorraine did her thing by opening the door for our party and greeting us with a bright smile, leading my very first sit down at Applebees to a good start. Upon being seated our server Abel, continued the trend by greeting us with his bright smile and a big dose of personality… a nice and refreshing experience. During this mid-​week lunch hour, and though a tad busy, Abel was able to keep up his charm and show attentiveness to each area while doing so. Very nice indeed.
As mentioned before, this was my first time sitting down for a meal in an Applebee’s, as the crew I was with convinced me that there’s this ‘great’ salad that they wanted me to try. Okay, sure, why not? We all chose to order off of their 2 for $ 20.00 lunch special, which included the ‘great’ Oriental Chicken Salad. The generously portioned salad consisted of your choice of grilled or fried chicken; two of our party chose fried. In addition, there were sliced almonds, julienned carrots, crispy Asian noodles, mixed in a red cabbage/​lettuce combo and tossed with an Asian sesame ginger type dressing. Would I say it was great… nah, but it was pretty tasty and would’ve been so much better if the chicken was a little warm.
The 2 for $ 20.00 comes with an appetizer, which I tried the mozzarella sticks, which fit my mozz stick standards so that was a plus. On the other hand, our order of spinach artichoke dip was tasteless. The nacho chips served with the dip were stale and the plan it seems to freshen them up was to fry them again, like it wouldn’t be noticeable… it was sooo noticeable. Each chip were glistening with oil like they were in an Hawaiian Tropic contest, that extra lube of grease was not appetizing at all. Oh yeah, and least I forget the flavorless dip, eek! Stale refried nacho chips + flavorless dip = a perfect mess made for each other. But I’ll say this, there could be worse things in life, and maybe the kitchen staff were having a bad day.
So, sticking with the highlights, cool new modern location in the Hutchinson Metro Tech Center, providing tons of flat screens and ample parking. And what most importantly warranted these four stars were Abel, Lorraine and their young front of the house crew doing a great job showing industry professionalism. Keep up the good work guys and keep excelling.

Awesome location great service! Gerrell Brandon Jaime and Deandrea are the best servers there! Me and my wife attend a lot. It’s always clean and my servers know how to show us a fabulous time while delivering our food and attending to us.

Nice, new, clean location. Very modern, TVs everywhere playing all the sports, ample parking, no crowds, fresh food, and fast service. Definitely the best Applebee’s in The Bronx. Hopefully its low-​key location, will help keep it that way.

Dined here on Thursday, May 29, 2015. I ate at the bar, the drink service was very good and the ½ off apps were a plus. The food came out hot and the wait for the food was not long. Nice atmosphere and they have plenty of parking. I will come again if you want fun food at a good price.

The service at this restaurant is horrible and they are very slow it took them almost 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me to take my order never again will I go there.

Best Applebee’s experience ever.
I wouldn’t normally done at Applebee’s for anything but my sister wanted to go to Applebee’s, I don’t know I guess she must have seen s commercial on TV or something, anyway we were going to visit their Time Square location, if I was going to Applrbees i wanted to at least visit a good location.
On our drive over to the Times Square location, I decided to check my trusty Unilocal app and see if there were any new location and what do you know, there was a new Applebee’s location that opened in the Bronx, I said what the heck, let’s slide over there it isint too far.
Luck is because this was a Newley built and recently opened Applebee’s, you can actually smell the new paint, everything was brand new and beautiful, but there wasn’t a wait on a Friday night which awesome.
Not only did we visit the newest and best looking Applebee’s in NY but it was empty’ish and they say is down right away on a Friday night, everyone knows that there is always a minimum 1 hour wait at Applebee’s especially on weekends.
They had big screen tv’s everywhere, the food and drinks were good and the staff was super amazing.
I could definitely see myself coming here again.
I was told by the staff that the reason why it is always so empty is because they have just recently opened, not too many people know about this new location and it is not easily accessible by public transportation, kind of out of the way for most folks in the BX.

My lady and I were hungry after our workout at LA Fitness located within the new center so we decided to give Applebee’s a try. The waiters and waitresses were excellent; really exceeded my expectations and the atmosphere was chill. Plenty of TV screens for those wanting to view sports and grab a drink, but we were there for a hearty lunch. Our waiters were Gerell and Brian, really nice guys. We saw two dinners on the menu that we wished we could combine /​substitute food items and Gerell said he would work his magic and get it done. Well, he did and it was delicious! Salmon with warm spinach and veggies. I honestly could not believe I was eating at an Applebee’s! The food was top notch and cooked to perfection. Where the hell did they get this staff? They were young, energetic, polite and on point! I thought I was eating at a 5 star Manhattan restaurant! The manager, Laura, also dropped by our table to make sure we were happy with food and service. You can see that she cared and the staff respected her. Other waiters there were super nice and said hello (Jeff and Joseph). What a surprisingly great experience for me and my gal. We will definitely be back!

Friendly waiters and waitresses. Definitely will go back here again. And the food is cooked well. The place isn’t too crowded. Lots of room at the tables. The TVs show most of the sports games.

Best Steak Ever! I love getting the Bourbon Street Steak. It comes to your table sizzling on a skillet with onions on top with a side of roasted potatoes for a very reasonable price. There are TV’S everwhere so I get to catch the game while I eat with the wife and kids. It’s fairly new so we didn’t have to wait to sit. But all in all great food, great service and HD TV’S. It’s definitely my favorite spot.

I have to say, this is the best applebees I have been to in the Bronx. Its a new location and I was very surprised how everything was running so smoothly. T All my food and drinks came out in good time and cooked exactly how I asked for it. The location is under LA Fitness, so very convenient for me to work out and grab a salad!
