On a busy Saturday dinner time, the place was great. Pasta Primavera was superb. The staff really bounces. Our waitress was efficient, friendly and accommodating, garnering the 23% tip. Very reasonable and enjoyable.

Big fan of JM’s for years, but the experience at this location Sat was anything but a relaxing dinner. Extremely loud. Waitress rushing, bus boy running around so crazed that it was distracting. Trying to move move move, he stacked a large amount of dishes and they crashed on the floor. Got the lighter fair chicken parm. Expected same as regular entrée just a smaller portion(say 1 pc of chicken instead of 2.) The chicken was very different, thin piece, which was burned on bottom and hard to cut as it was over cooked. This was 5 pm, I can’t imagine how chaotic it must have been later in prime time. Give people a relaxing atmosphere so they are able to enjoy their evening and your yummy food.

The food was not bad. A bit over priced though(pasta is wicked cheap and there wasn’t much chicken, over $ 16). The chocolate chip pie with whipped cream and ice cream saved the day though, fantastic!

Shockingly surprised by this place. Meals were very good, see photos. Décor is very simple so dont expect anything fancy. Reviews were not good so I had low expectations but the food changed my mind. If you are ok with low key places but good food, this is the place for you.

We stopped by for a quick meal tonight. The service was pleasant and efficient and the food excelled, down to the delicious bread. I ordered the eggplant parm with bowtie pasta. Yummy and huge. My granddaughter ordered ziti alfredo from the kids menu, which was also a delicious and huge portion. We had enough that we will have dinner tomorrow night, also.

Food is good. Great atmosphere at the bar and front area. A little loud in the back. Love that they have wine flights.

Overall we were satisfied, but not blown away. We had a reservation and a table was waiting for us on arrival — nice for a busy Saturday. We were seated in the front room. It was so loud we couldn’t even converse with one another. We asked to be moved to take back room — no better back there. Service was fine and food was slightly better than average. I know it’s not meant to be an upscale restaurant but I wish it was a little quieter. Too noisy to enjoy a nice night out. Next time I’ll go to Carmella’s. Same price point but a better all around restaurant(ambiance, food, service), etc.

I don’t understand why this one is so different(quality wise) than the original. Isn’t it owned by the same people? The sauce tasted like they opened a can and poured it on. Disappointed.

Actually went to the restaurant this time as opposed to taking out. Very loud in the front room and tables are close together which makes it worse. Our waitress was unattentive and they don’t make substitutions(wanted baked potato instead of rice and was told it couldn’t happen; when I said I’d pay for a baked potato they were out… then I saw two go by to table next to me). Food is still good. I got the steak tips and sole combo this time. Tips were well cooked and marinaded. Tried my moms Vodka sauce… it was great. Husband went for the shrimp and broccoli Alfredo which was as good as the first time.

Bad food good service and way to loud. We had high expectations as we had heard good things about this new place. we were disappointed. Their marinara sauce was extremely thin almost watery with zero and I mean zero taste. I think Prago sauce has more taste. Meatball was cold. Chicken cutlet was actually pretty good. Service was also good but restaurant very loud. All and all we will nit be going back. Stay away

I was very excited to have this place opening up across the street in the rundown old biker bar that was there. After all an Italian place instead of a dive bar across the street is a good thing right? Turns out… Not so much. This place dishes out massive quantities of mediocre at best Italian food. I’m pretty sure the moto in the kitchen is «why bother spicing our food if we can just dump a pound of cheese on it». We ate here 3 times just to make sure it wasn’t issues with new staff due to the fact it recently opened… then gave up. No better than an Olive Garden.

Quantity is not quality. There is so much food on each entrée that you’ll need to bring home some of it. Unfortunately, the food isn’t worth eating twice. Marinara sauce tastes like pizza sauce. Baked ziti should not have said sauce poured all over it. It was like ziti in really thick cheese sauce. My wife’s lasagna was okay but too much and too much dry ricotta with, no surprise, a sea of sauce. Everything was piping hot which always makes me fear a microwave oven. Might be good for kids or couples who want to share an entrée but, despite this being 10 min from home, we won’t be back.

I called to order take out at 6:30pm. I pressed option #3 for takeout after 3pm. I was put into a voicemail box that was full. I called back and pressed 0. I got a person. I was told they do not do take out orders over the phone after 3pm. I went in and ordered. I stood at the bar for 5 minutes until a bartender could take my order. I placed the order at 6:50. I was told it would be 30 minutes until my food was ready. I sat down in the waiting area. After 30 minutes, I stood up attempting to make contact with the bartender. He walked by me to deliver food to another table and I got no acknowledgement. Finally after 45 minutes, I am trying to get his attention as I wait. He put his hands up in the air and pointed down to my food. I went over and he said that it had been sitting there for a while and he was nervous I wasn’t coming back to get it. I told him I was sitting there for a while too, since I placed my order. I hadn’t moved. I ordered cheese ravioli’s with sausage. I ordered chicken cacciatore with no pasta. I get home and there was 1 sausage with the order. My chicken cacciatore is covering an entire bowl of ziti. The bartender placing my order was very inattentive to details. He could have cared less about me because I wasn’t sitting at the bar having a cocktail while waiting for my food. I have always enjoyed my food from Johnny’s. My husband does not. So every time I want to get some food from there, I know it had better be good. Not so sure I will be able to talk him into going back this time.

Saturday evening at the new location. Reservations for four at 6:00 p.m. We were seated right away even though two people hadn’t arrived yet. Kudos to our server, Jess W. She was excellent. Fast, pleasant, and no mistakes. Food was top notch and portions were huge. All in all it was very nice, although the larger dining room can get a bit noisy. Opt for the smaller room near the bar if you prefer a bit more quiet. Will be back again for sure.

Food is as good as the first location. However, minus a star for being very loud. The second star held back is due to long wait with empty tables

Our first experience at the new Johnny Macaroni’s was with a group of 10 adults, plus 3 kids. We had a reservation and were seated earlier than planned. A few family members were late but the hostess allowed us to sit and order appetizers.(A local Italian restaurant chain will not allow you to sit until your whole party is present.)Service was very good, but one meal came out late. They went over and above the call of duty. Since they were short a high chair, they got one from their original location. The bread and olive oil was delicious! Antipasto was average, the large was a good sized portion. Eggplant was very good with just the right amount of melted mozzarella, but the marinara sauce was only okay. I tasted the fish which was excellent. The chicken with ravioli, fresh tomato and white sauce looked amazing; chicken, broccoli, ziti wasn’t anything special. Portions are so large most of us brought leftovers home. Prices are reasonable, which would have been even better if the was still available. The back room is a bit noisy, since the ceiling is so high. Love the new décor and casual ambiance!

Stopped in there for a takeout menu a couple weeks ago and was told«no take out by the hostess, only to have someone else come over and point to the take out menus a foot from the hostess. Hope the foods better than the initial experience I had. 3 stars purely based on optimism. Looking forward to reviewing more thoroughly.

The food is good and the service is good but trying to get a seat is nuts. I counted 15 empty tables and they have a ton of people waiting to be seated. They are telling everyone it’s a 45 min to 1 hr wait. People are leaving because of this. How can someone allow $ to fly out the door like this bewilders me. The same thing happen last week when we were here. I hope they get it straightened out because it will discourage us for coming back.
