Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I have been renting cars from enterprise for many years. I have never had a problem with the company. I rent cars about two times a year. I’m very satisfied and will continue to rent from them

After complaining to both the office where I reserved and also the corporate office, I received a very apologetic call, and was comped for another rental through Enterprise.

I’m downgrading solely because of the car I was given as a rental while my car was in the collision shop.
Customer service was okay, though when I called for a car in the morning, they said they wouldn’t have one available until 5:30 that evening. In the meantime, I dropped my car off at the collision shop. Luckily I was able to get a ride home.
When I got to the rental location later, I sat down with Leah to work out the logistics of the car. Since I wasn’t paying (the accident was not my fault and the other party’s insurance was paying), I didn’t ask to upgrade. I was given a Toyota Yaris, though I drive an SUV and would have preferred a comparable vehicle. NBD though, a compact car is still a car. It drove okay but my GOD, it had a completely FILTHY interior. The seats were all stained. The doors and cup holders had sticky splashes on them. Even the dash had a layer of dust on it. And the worst part was the SMELL of this car. It smelled like someone had slept in that car, unshowered, for 36,000 miles, the read on the odometer. It was so gross and sweaty feeling. Even the keys were filthy. Do car rental companies not clean their cars anymore?! I should have complained right then and there. I mean really, it’s unconscionable that a rental is that filthy and smelly.
And to people renting cars, clean up after yourselves! Have you no pride?!
I had a great experience with the car I got the last time I rented from here. I’ve always considered Enterprise to be a higher end rental company, but I’m not so sure of that anymore. I’m really surprised in the decrease in quality of the rental vehicle this time. Thank goodness I only had to drive that stink bucket for 2 days, and thank goodness for Febreeze, which still didn’t kill that deep dark stank! HAHAHAHA! Soooo gross!
C’mon Enterprise. You’re better than that mess of a car.
