Best food in Dubuque County, if not eastern Iowa. Crab rangoons are a must. Always a friendly atmosphere and a staff who is always willing to accommodate.

Nice little downtown diner in the city famous for the field of dreams. I had the Cajun ribeye with a side of shrimp. They did a great job with thee flavor, nice touch with the Cajun seasoning. The cut is not super quality but good for a diner and done right. The shrimp that came with was also Cajun style. For the price it’s a great meal.
Other than that, they have a good menu with rotating specials. I would say this is one of the better options in town and in the area as it is pretty rural in these parts.

This is our favorite go to when we’re in town. There’s always a friendly smile and a large variety of beer to choose from. Good food all around. I enjoy their wings, buffalo wrap, house cut fries, cauliflower bites and chicken strips. And it’s always a good time when joe comes out of the kitchen to grace us with his presence! Definitely recommend this spot!

Best food in town without a doubt. Staff is super friendly, service is always on point. Decent selection of beers. The ribs and chicken are excellent and The Joe’s Burger is always tasty. Just make sure to bring a big appetite! Highly recommended his homemade crab rangoons, best I’ve ever had. Puts Asian restaurants to shame. I can honestly say I’ve tried most of the menu and have never left disappointed.

My boyfriend and i were trying to find somewhere new to try outside of dubuque and stumbled upon joes… Staff was pretty nice (all had smiles!) service was just OK, food was awful (mushroom burger & cod fish), beer was warm… We won’t be stumbling that direction again…
*Update*: my boyfriend has now been up since about 2am with food poisoning…
