A regular customer of the excellent customer service in the Crete Gus Bock Ace Hardware. So got an email coupon for free Oreck vacuum tune up. This hardware recently advertised Oreck brand, so I called to make sure they did Oreck tune up. Woman phone said«let me check», came back and said«yes, we do Oreck tune up do you have the free coupon?» I said yes, she said bring it in. So, I brought it in with the coupon in hand. First of all employees do not greet you at the door asking«may I help you» as in the one Crete. A guy, presumably a manager tells me «no we only do tune ups on Oreck bought here. «I say store employee told me on the phone to bring it in for the free tune up with coupon. «Manager» somewhat unceremoniously and not so nicely simply says says«I didn’t say that»(How is a customer to know that? Wouldn’t a customer just take the word of a store employee and come in? Wouldn’t a manager be expected to at least nicely recognize what an employee said, even if the service would not be performed? Apparently not. I’ll stick with the very customer — friendly Gus Bock Crete Ace Hardware in the future.
