do not order storm doors from this place. they send people to your home that have no idea how to measure!!! the installer was really nice but could not install the door because the doors were measured 2 inches to small. wth!!!

The store is for those that just want to come in for that one thing or two without going all over a huge store. The people here are super friendly and are fast to help out.
When you come into the store you will notice a glorious smell of onions, it is because there is a little hot dog stand on your way out. Delicious!

I had a great experience tonight at Home Depot in Schererville. I took this opportunity to handle two issues I had with things purchased at Home Depot. First I needed to exchange a recently purchased battery for my sump pump backup. The battery was defective and not holding a charge. Being as though I’ve been through several flooded basements I made this a priority.
Michelle in the customer returns section helped me do an even exchange despite the fact that I did not have my receipt. This was a no hassle exchange and an extremely pleasant situation.
While getting my replacement battery I remembered that we were having troubles with a GE profile wall oven purchased two years ago from Home Depot. I thought I had purchased the extended service package when I bought the unit and thought I would inquire. Remarkably Judy the sales associate in appliances, said she remembered me and was certain that I purchased the service plan. I recall thinking heck, I’m glad you’re certain I’m not so sure. Judy looked up my information and after combing through many purchases was able to find the service agreement for my unit she then provided me with the numbers to call and instructions so that I can have the unit repaired.
Now you might be saying how can you give a store five stars when your sole purpose in visiting the store was to return or service two bad items. Reality says that things happen and often times businesses should not be judged by the mistakes that are made but rather by how they handle the aftermath.
In this instance Michelle and Judy of the Schererville Home Depot knocked it out of the park and continue to display the incredible customer service I have become familiar with at Home Depot. Thank you ladies!

I was unable to put a couple of 4×8 sheets of plywood in my vehicle. When I asked if they could cut them down, they said they would. The associate (Dan) offered to cut them to whatever size I wanted. After he made the cuts he assisted me loading them on the cart and made sure I was good to go.
People were friendly and helpful.

Out of all the home improvement stores, home depot has the more knowledgeable associates that can help you.
