Jay Shambley upholstered an ottoman for us recently, using fabric we bought to match our new couch. I sent him a link to the description of the couch, and he matched the piping on the design perfectly. He was very pleasant to work with, returned calls quickly and the work was done in the amount of time (2 weeks) and for the price he quoted me. We dropped off & picked up the ottoman ourselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shambley’s to my friends for similar work.
Agree with previous reviewer’s notes regarding the location — it’s back on Shakori Trail (gravel rd), not on Erwin Rd.

Jay runs a fine family business doing upholstery work. He can use your fabric or order from hundreds of sample books. He just reupholstered a chair for us and the quality of the workmanship is terrific. The seams look great and we got all new cushions that feel very nice.
I shopped around a couple of other local folks, and Jay had the best price and could get the work done pretty quickly. He is also extremely friendly and has an amazing memory.
The location is tucked away down a gravel road, but the map marker will get you to the driveway. I am pretty sure he will also do pick-​up and delivery if yo have larger pieces.
