I am absolutely INLOVE with Relay Foods! Yes, it is going to be pricier than a normal trip to the grocery store, but for the convenience, the customer service, and the quality of the food — it is WORTHIT. I love that they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience and if an item is out of stock, they do everything they can to find a substitute. I also love how many local brands they carry! I just picked up my fourth Relay order tonight so I think it’s safe to say — I’m hooked!

I ran into Relay Foods at a Unilocal event and signed up for their intro offer $ 15 for $ 30+ of groceries. What interested me was that Relay Foods which is a local grocery delivery service, had a drop-off right around the corner from me at Fletcher Park in Raleigh. The welcome package included cheese, milk, sausage and eggs along with Nello tomato sauce. Everything I’ve tried has been impressive so far and a $ 10 introductory credit also allowed me to order up some pork belly which is in the oven right now, yum! Overall I think Relay Foods is a super-interesting concept. Their website is clear and well-done allowing you to pick and choose products and food stuffs from local providers in the Southeast. Prices are a bit higher but certainly within Whole Foods standards. So think of Relay Foods as a Whole Paycheck that delivers and also gives you more information and details on the producers of your local food. I can definitely see using them for a future dinner party, it would be fun to pick and choose items from their website to do a local NC meal. And I’m pretty sure it would be delicious too…

Great service, whether you’re looking for great produce, or if you’re like us and need a way to have all your shopping done for you! Prices and selection on most items are comparable to whole foods/harris teeter. Some packaged/pantry items are a little higher, but you’re paying for the convenience so it’s a trade off.
